I have a question, 2012 Golf Mk 6, same filter location and design . Is it normal for the defogging button to work only when AC si ON ? If I turn Defog and AC off then the inside of the windshield will still fog up . Doesn t seem normal to me , previous car a VW Mk4 it could defog perfectly even on ECON as defogging will just blow fresh air onto the inside of the windshield and works also on non AC cars . What do you think is this due to the new location of the pollen filter ?
I haven't noticed / paid attention on newer cars. Don't think it has to do with location of pollen filter... AC helps defog. I have noticed that recirculation (on older models) is turned off when on Defog, on yours as well? I'm sure there's a logical reason for any and all the weird things that happen. :)
hey thomas 00457 - Control Module for Network (J519) 013 - Check DTC Memory its a 2008 jetta with a 2.0fsi non turbo engine any thoughts tried changing the control valve on the compressor still nothing compressor does not come on.
@@EXOVCDS correct it is currently stored in the hvac unit and the comfort control module the car was not operational for some time (timing chain issue which i posted on another of your videos) during this time the front of the car was in service mode after i fixed it i vacuumed the system and tried to regas it using my scale and gauges the ac compressor just does not come on and this code is stored any direction you can tell me would be great i changed the ac control solenoid on the compressor still no change the ac was working before the car was down for some months have you ever seen this code before?
HVAC module should have data PIDs where you can see what is keeping the compressor off. If lack of communication is the reason... check the communication wires. I don't have much AC or Network troubleshooting experience, sorry. If you are able to communicate with both modules, I'm not sure what the issue is.
@@EXOVCDS ok thanks using vcds i will check and see what mbv i should be watching to tell if they are seeing one another also do you know what module is the j519? i think its the module behind the fuse box under the dash by the pedals.
J519 is the module in this video: ua-cam.com/video/6q2_SApeXxU/v-deo.html Maybe you have a bad relay lik I had in this video (caused blower motor to not work).
Thank you! Just fixed my Passat, without your video I would not have even known where to begin! Awesome!

This code was retrieved from which module? HVAC module needs to be able to communicate with various module, if it can not, then AC is inop.

I have a VW 2006 Passat 2.0T. I like to replace the pollen filter but I cannot find out where it is located. Please help me.
Should be in the same place as in this video.
Thanks!
The new filter should be put opossite like first one? Why?
It wasn't.
how do you get the passenger side windshield cowl off?
It pops out of the windshield and has some clips at the engine end (if I remember correctly).
Good enough for Canada, overkill for Australia
LOL!
thank you that was helpful
Thank you for watching!
Wow ! Bad dirty !!😷
Amazed that nothing was caught-up in the motor / fan!
Laugh so hard
This filter needs a diaper.
