It's an old story and not just in NYC. Cops routinely refuse to accept complaints from the public because they want to cook the crime stats. It's why the feds conduct the NCVS survey.
NYC struggles to Police the Subway. Where I live, we have an entire separate Police Force dedicated to just the Subway System. It's called "Transit Police" and something NYC has never implemented. Taking Regular Police off the Streets into the Subway System doesn't count as Transit Police.
That’s incorrect. New York City HAD the NYTA Police until 1995. They still didn’t go away, but were absorbed into the NYPD as the transit bureau of the NYPD to cut down on wasteful government spending. Unfortunately, the NYPD is already awful at managing budget. The bigger issue is that the cops in the NYPD are hesitant to make arrests for crimes they know will not be prosecuted by the DA’s office.
NY laws .. “Three thousand strikes … and you’re NOT OUT.” You know that it’s bad when the criminals have their own handcuffs and jail cells. Reminds me of The Andy Griffith Show where Otis would just go to his cell when he got drunk. 😂
You have to pay money to file a lawsuit and the judges will just dismiss the case citing qualified immunity. And you don't get a refund. So you would literally just be throwing away money. And filing an appeal to get it reinstated costs even more. Every tier of appeal costs more than the last. You could spend 10s of thousands trying to bring that case to court and it won't ever make it to trial because the judges are in on it and protect the city and politicians and can dismiss any case or appeal without refund.

I was in DC and saw a bunch of teenagers clock a man blind on the back of his head in the subway right next to a cop and the cop just goes and talks to them and says “what’s up”? Moving police to the platform does nothing.
Correct, I saw DC police with helmets, flack jackets and other equipment just stand by as a homeless man threatened passengers as they went down the stairs to the platform. The same man then came down and verbally harassed everyone on platform yelling he was CI@ and had a licence to kill. This guy was wearing 1980s camouflage BDU trousers, combat boots and BDU shirt with the top button closed. We passengers were terrified he was going to pull out a butcher knife and start stabbing. I have been watching your videos for a few days now and you don't talk about the prison system. NY needs to build more prisons, take Rikers island and build upwards. Americans don't want to pay higher taxes to build the prisons, but they sure do love boo hooing about crime and living with it on a day to day basis. Then I moved to Texas which was just as bad. Now I live in a Podunk town in Wisconsin and life was good until 4 years ago, when New Yorkers and Texans started moving to northern Wisconsin and brought their bad behavior up here. From what I have heard the late 70s during Son of Sam, the Blackout and the Bankruptcy were the previous low water mark.
They've had two chances in the past few years. They chose more of the same.
The problem is anybody who replaces them will still have their hands tied to the existing laws in the city.
Stop voting Democrats. They are the problem not the solution.

The only reason crime statistics are down is because they refuse to arrest these people and as a result there are no arrest records.
It's an old story and not just in NYC. Cops routinely refuse to accept complaints from the public because they want to cook the crime stats. It's why the feds conduct the NCVS survey.
Didn't you watch the video? These people get arrested over and over again but they never get locked up, just let go.
New York is a sick joke.
With Sick Governors , we need a new system , a new government.
NY laws .. “Three thousand strikes … and you’re NOT OUT.”
You know that it’s bad when the criminals have their own handcuffs and jail cells.
Reminds me of The Andy Griffith Show where Otis would just go to his cell when he got drunk. 😂

Don't understand why people don't sue the city for letting this guy out knowing he is a threat to others.
