Adults grill burgers and dogs, drink adult beverages, and sit around in lounge chairs passing out candy to the kiddos. It’s a chance to catch-up with old friends and new neighbors. This tradition began 35 years ago. 🌸🐝

I think it is so important to keep our heritage alive. It’s also so fascinating to learn about how different ethnic groups’ cultures can become when they move to the US. I’m kind of a history nerd 🤓
I immigrated to the US in 2001, when I was 5. I am already forgetting my native language. I’m worried of erasing my own culture and traditions I grew up with. 🥲

I think it's important too! I'm such a history nerd too and love deep diving into culture specifically! Awe maybe you can make a book of all your families lore too plus you'll be able to see how it evolves over your lifetime!! That way it's all captured.
