I saw them here in the UK in the 80s after they reunited and then a few years later. They were amazing, what voices. I had them autograph an LP for me. I was only a teenager. My house was damaged in a storm and my record collection ruined by rain. One of the only parts of the record cover left was the part they signed. Ive got it being restored.
I've always liked their very beautiful gorgeous harmonies , I think about everyone were influenced by them and their music , I've got the Royal Albert Hall concert, on blu ray disc I watch it quite often, I'm glad they made friends before anything happened to each of them ,there music is timeless words of love and emotions, Thank you ever so much Jordan most appreciated for you wonderful videos you put on for us your followers Many Thanks Rod from west Yorkshire UK 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇺🇲🇺🇲 🎸🧒🏻🎤🎸🧑🏻🎤
✨This was great! You are in my home state. I love their voices. My grandmother left me her record. I have the Everly Brothers greatest hits. Thanks Jordan for taking us to the best places. ~Love&Light♥️Carli
Great job on their story. The harmony was always perfect on every song they did. John Prine did write a song about Mulenburg county. It maybe a reference to the town.
The Everly Brothers were singers whose music I have enjoyed for about 65 years. There aren't that many singers or musicians that I have followed for so long....just a few. In my mind, they are in a very elite group.
Little-known fact: The Everly Brothers' mother outlived both of them. She passed in December 2021 at 102 years old. She's not buried in Central City, though.
Nice video, Jordan. So nice to see their home town make a nice memorial to them and John Prine. Their music definitely was timeless and still is. Thank you and have a great long weekend Jordan!
I loved their sound. I think I know the words to most of their songs. Unchained Melody is one of the most romantic songs ever. A great slow dance song.
I remember as a teenager my mom had their record album i always played the record on the recorded player and listen to their music. I loved their music and songs they sing.
Many thanks Jordan for this fantastic 'tribute/memorial' broadcast to the Everly Brothers. The museum was impressive however, the fact you manged to get a preview of the statues made this broadcast really special. Thank you again for always going that extra mile and making your channel so entertaining and informative.
I spent my teenage years listening to and loving the Everly Brothers! They did not record one bad song, all were hits in my opinion, and I think it was due to the beautiful blending of their voices, which still can't be beat. Thank you, Jordan, for sharing this look into their home town and the information about their lives, much of which I did not know. Well done!! I love your channel and look forward to where we are going next.
Thank you Jordan for sharing this video. My stepdad lives in Central City and grew up with them and went to school with them. My grandmother was buried in that cemetery and my stepdad will be buried there.I lived in Greenville when I was young. My mother now lives in Corydon Indiana where James Best lived and was buried. Kentucky is a beautiful state. I'm going to have to go back and visit Center City and Greenville soon.
My older cousins were listen king to the Everly Brothers! I liked them; but I was listening to my age group music!! They were very popular!! I think I remember them singing on TV entertainment shows!! I enjoy these videos!! Thanks!!
That was so interesting Jordan, I knew both boys were gone now but such a nice tribute to them. Have enjoyed you last videos. Thanks for all your work, you make every video worth watching!
Seems sad that Don isn’t buried there as well, they sort of go hand in hand. I think Don was married so he either told her that’s what he wanted or she just chose that option. Very nice video, thank you Jordan. ❤Jodie 🇦🇺
This vlog was awesome! ❤ I love the Everly Brothers. As a kid I listened to a lot of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Patsy Cline and of coarse Elvis. My Dad was a mega fan! 😂 Growing up in the 70's and early 80's music was so diverse and rich. While in the car with my Dad on vacation as a pre-teen The Everly Brothers were one of the bands my Dad and I could agree on. I trade him of so he'd let me listen to David Cassidy or Donny Osmond! 😂😂😂 As an adult I did the same with my kids. I wanted to listen to an 80's hair band (Poison or Bon Jovi) and my kids wanted to listen to Shaggy, Poppa Roach or Uncle Cracker. 😂 We always found a happy medium. I had one who loved Shania Twain and one who loved Cher. So we made it work. Thank God we all agreed on Eminem! 😂 Lot's of joyous memories of family vacations and car rides! ❤❤❤
Paul McCartney made a reference to the Everly Brothers in his song "Let Em In"...Sister Suzie/ Brother John/ Martin Luther/ Phil and Don and their song "Love Hurts" got popular when Nazareth covered it.
I’m not going to lie here, I’m almost 27 years old, but I’m starting to be Obsessed with the Everly Brothers, because both brothers outlived Ritchie Valens and Buddy Holly just like me and my sister are outliving the late child actor, Cameron Boyce.
Thanks Jordon, Did you know that actor James Best (known mostly in western films & tv shows) was the nephew of the Everly Brothers. Safe travels from Adelaide, South Australia.
Not knowing the Everly Brothers first names until now, I found it interesting that you showed the quote Paul McCartney wrote and it made me think. I was sure I’d heard a song before with the lyrics “Phil & Don” 🎶 Sure enough after a short Google search, it was actually Paul McCartney & Wings. The song is “Let ‘Em In”. Just a fun fact in case you or others didn’t know 😊
I understood the break-up was triggered by musical direction. Don wanted to update their sound, be contemporary, and try the new sounds in Rock examples are Acid, Hard, Folk, and ECT. Phil Refused. Phil despised the direction Rock "n" Roll was evolving. Don was patient with Phil. They kept playing the old hits until Don couldn't take it anymore. As you mentioned, He snapped during a performance in 1973.
I just have to say, when you showed us the first black and white portrait of the Everly Brothers. Why did Beavis and Butthead come to my mind? Anybody else agree?
Those statues are terrible, they look nothing like our boys, I'm sorry to say, and Phil is not actually there in the cemetery, it's only a memorial plaque, they did not get back together at their dads funeral, it was 9 years later, think this whole video needs redoing, truthfully
Not saying it’s the case here, but I read that when the Beach Boys memorial was dedicated in Hawthorne California, the likenesses of the members was licensed so the images on the plaque did not look like the group members at all. Ridiculous and sad at the same time that exceptions could not be made for these official memorials.
I understand the obsession. I love their music always and I just love the two of them performing together!❤️can't be denied

When Simon and Garfunkel reunited for their tour a few years ago I got to see The Everly Brothers perform with Paul and Art. Best part of the show!!
I love the Everly Brothers. Timeless music!
Thank you for taking us t0 their museum and grave sites. I hope they both rest in peace. We have their lovely music to listen to. Take care, Jordan
Ahhhh I love the Everly Brothers!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Oh, I am so looking forward to this. What a gift your channel is for me.
Wings of a Nightingale is my eternal favorite. The video shows them working as a team restoring a 57 Chevy Convertible in the junkyard.

Thank you for this music vlog.
I’ve always loved the Everly Brothers…thanks, for this Jordan. Love you too🩵
Love American history of music, great video thanks for paying your respect 😎🤗🐾
I'm from Kentucky, too. I went into the Marine Corps just after the Everly Brothers got out.
Love the Everly Bros thank Jordan
Their comeback song in 1984, ‘On the Wings Of a Nightingale.’ It was written by Paul McCartney and produced by Dave Edmunds.
No one sang harmonies like the Everly’s. I’m friends with Edan Everly Don’s son. They influenced everyone!
Thanks I enjoyed watching once again keep up the wonderful work
thank you jordan.........kool man!
This was so awesome and ill have to check it out soon. I love Nostalgia, thanks for keeping us entertained with these wonderful videos.

For harmonies style singing in rock these guys were among the best
They taught everyone else how harmony should be done.
Not only among the best, they were the best, R.I.P. Phil and Don, ❤️

Hi Jordan thank you so much for doing this love your channel from sharon in the uk
They were really nice and so very down to earth
If you ever get a chance to visit Woodstock N.Y., the cemetery has the graves of Levon Helm, and Rick Danko from the band. Also Michael Lang. !
Nice 😊
Thanks Jordan- Very cool video. I had no idea they were from Kentucky. And was surprised to hear they are both gone. Loved there music.
Very cool, a lot of history there.

John Prine's song Paradise is about Mulenburg County
Sure love those guys. I know you're a fan of power pop. Check out their song called Born Yesterday. They did it right to the very end.
Nice one jordon .
Great video Jordan
James Best (Rosco on Dukes of Hazard TV Show) Is a first cousin to Phil and Don
That MG is sweet!!! I always wanted one like 🚗💋
That was so interesting Jordan, I knew both boys were gone now but such a nice tribute to them. Have enjoyed you last videos. Thanks for all your work, you make every video worth watching!
Thier mother passed just recently as well so they all gone now 😢
I went to church with their family
Seems sad that Don isn’t buried there as well, they sort of go hand in hand. I think Don was married so he either told her that’s what he wanted or she just chose that option.
Very nice video, thank you Jordan. ❤Jodie 🇦🇺
Thanks for coming to my hometown! Wish I had known you were here, bro.
Wake up little Suzie!

Hello Jordan!
Enjoyed again Jordan and Jah
Mary E Everly was Don's first Child. Don and his first wife had another daughter after Mary.
born in 1957?
Great early songs but my fav would be thuer mid 80's album with born yesterday an always drive a cadillac on it . Superb album if you can find it .

Glad you love our music! ❤ As someone who grew up with the Everly Bros. music, I love it when someone young rediscovers it and enjoys! ❤
Ritchie Valens and Buddy Holly are in their 80's by now
@@johnbrown6644 They are both dead.
@@johnbrown6644 *would have been
Who was Cameron Boyce?
I was a bit shocked to realise they are both dead! I didn’t know, or had forgotten.
They lived in Shenandoah Iowa from 1945- 1953 their formative years.. their childhood home is there.
Thanks Jordon, Did you know that actor James Best (known mostly in western films & tv shows) was the nephew of the Everly Brothers.
Safe travels from Adelaide, South Australia.
Pretty sure it was cousin as he was older then the eb's . Would have to reread best's book where he talks about them

the actor who played Roscoe on Dukes of Hazzard was related to the Everlys

And Phil everly went to Buddy Holly's funeral in 1959
They did Love hurts but there's was slow and the original one
I just have to say, when you showed us the first black and white portrait of the Everly Brothers. Why did Beavis and Butthead come to my mind? Anybody else agree?
Love your channel so much!!! ❤ what camera do you use?
The gravestone at the end of the video saying just Everly, who is buried there?
We're did they live after they were famous.did they live in there home town.
in case I missed it how were the Everly Brothers connected to John Prine ?
Same Hometown
Who are they ?

It's pronounced mulernberg I was born and praised there
