I think it would be best if the laser tube was in a fixed position from the start and not need to be adjusted, But then again that's just my opinion.

Theoretically, the optical path of the laser tube will not change when it is in a fixed position, but there will still be some changes in the optical path due to unavoidable shaking during transportation.
