Just end it quickly before he gains too much ground. *Piccolo then charges his signature move, finishing just as Knuckles turns super.* Piccolo: SPECIAL. BEAM. CANNON! *Piccolo fires the attack. Only to have it harmless bounce of a smirking Knuckles.* Piccolo: …shit. Kami: Well I’m out of ideas. Nail: This isn’t going to end well.

I was playing Sonic Frontiers today and I've finished Ares Island, which is basically Knuckles' arc, and then this track comes at the time I finished playing it.
Really good track for a neutral rivalry MU in my retrospective. The name sounds cool, the art looks creative with Knuckles simply breaking his Master Emerald with Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon, and the music is great as always.
You know if Knuckles were to ever fight Piccolo I hope it would be Archie Knuckles just so we can see both Giant Orange Piccolo and Chaos Knuckles clashing
I also made a comment about how Archie Knuckles can defeat Piccolo, as he, in his Hyper Form, went on par with Archie Super Sonic, whose clash at each other in incalculable speeds.
I hope it wouldn't be Archie knuckles since that would be way too big of a stomp in knuckles favor, If we just use the games and of course super for Piccolo they're actually kind of close to each other

Would you look at that, one of the Dragon Ball matchups that I wouldn't mind seeing in Death Battle. Oh and it's a good song too ? Well that's a surprise and a half to be sure, but a welcome one. Song's about one would expect from the matchup. Very fast, lots of energy with a slightly "cosmic" vibe to it with the synth that all fit the characters for reasons I don't feel I need to explain. It's a very catchy song that does perfectly what it strives to do and there's little else to ask of it. I also really like that at times the song pretty much has 2 melodies playing at the same time (IE: 2:41-3:10) which is a great way to represent a two main things: first one being how Knuckles and Piccolo have vastly different personalities, one much more agressive and reckless which fits the lower pitched and faster melody while the other has a calmer and more precise character which fits the lower pitched and more consistent melody. And the second one is from those two characters' origins as the main protagonists' enemies which makes a duality between melodies make sense. To go back on that first point I must also mention how, at least in the segment I cited as an example, it even follows through fight-wise as one can note that the lower pitched melody that fits Knuckles firstly begins by overpowering the second, higher pitched melody. This is a great way to represent how Knuckles, via his strength and speed would probably be the winner at the beginning of most of their scuffles. But as it progresses (IE: 2:55), the lower pitched melody loses momentum and only comes up in bursts while the higher pitched one stays constant from before which shows Knuckles' recklessness as he'd get tired before Piccolo due to this while the aforementioned, due to his personality and training, would have a lesser aggressivity but be consistent in his attacks and damage which would make him outlast Knuckles in engagements. This is even consistent in the ending where Knuckles' melody stops at 4:24 only for the more stable one to be left, only that this time it has the backing of the bass and percussions that are working overtime to add power to the main melody which works as a great way to hint that Piccolo is capitalizing on Knuckles' final mistake of the battle to finish it with his most powerful attack. Also feel like putting a special mention for the first "chorus" that appears during the first half of the fight (IE: 2:12-2:26) which I just find extremely good. It doesn't have anything more than what I mentioned that I feel like noting but I just particularly like it. Overall this track is in the image of its matchup: something really good that is a shame hasn't been on Death Battle yet, eh. But yeah, it's a really nice song that fits both characters and gives room for good scenario-making with how it's written which makes it even better than it already is. Amazing work with this as always.

Funny that we get a tails track and a knuckles track almost back to back. Now that we have ultrasonic for sonic, true number two for tails, this for knuckles and to live in darkness for the final boss, it's gonna be fun completing Sonic adventure 2 on dreamcast

Knuckles: a powerful artifact? *Knuckles then gasps* DO YOU MEAN THE MASTER EMERALD?!?!?!? Piccolo: no? Knuckles: DON’T PLAY DUMB WITH ME!!!! Knuckles then hops on to the Master Emerald before gliding down to clash with Piccolo How the Super forms activate: Knuckles gets knocked back into the Master Emerald where he is then surrounded by small Ki balls Piccolo: Hell Zone Grenade! The orbs then collide to where Knuckles is but he digs out of the way before that happens Piccolo: that should fry him Knuckles then grabs Piccolo’s legs and pulls him underground and then Knuckles pop up from underground and then he looks at the destroyed Emerald Knuckles: The Master Emerald, look at what you did, now I’m gonna make you pay Knuckles begins wailing on Piccolo stuck in the ground and so Piccolo goes Orange and then bursts out of the ground knocking Knuckles back before performing a Masankapo and as the beam is coming towards knuckle he absorbs the broken pieces of the Master Emerald into him becoming Hyper Knuckles and no cells the Masankapo Knuckles: first: you break into my home, then you lie to me, then you break my home and the Master Emerald and now, I’m going to break you Piccolo: bring it on

Verdict wise, I would go Knuckles. He has a much larger arsenal overall, and has more versatility and hax Piccolo hasn't shown a resistance to, such as time manipulation and stat manipulation. Super and Hyper Knuckles should outstat, and regardless of stats, Piccolo doesn't have a way past Super and Hyper's invulnerability.
@@MManiaZonethis isn’t Archie Knuckles. Plus after the latest movie Piccolo should be able at least outlast Super Knuckles. And it’s not far fetched considering Piccolo can heal.
Both characters hit Multiversal with their transformations (Orange and Super), but I feel Super should hit widely higher than current Dragon Ball stats, even counting the higher tiers in DBZ, such as the Angels, and Zeno. I also feel Super goes higher, speed wise, than DBZ currently does, but Knuckles's time manip, immobilization, and invincibility (mainly referring to Super/Hyper) sort of make speed a non-factor, on his side of things, I feel.

Ah Knuckles vs Piccolo. I have mixed feelings on the mu itself. I for one, like the Sonic vs Dragonball rivalry, but this is my least favorite of the major mus in said rivalry due to just having the least going for it. My current pecking order looks something like this: 1 Silver vs Trunks (Most thematic and is literally an inspiration vs Inspired mu) 2 Metal Sonic vs Cell (At first it felt forced to me, but later on it made more and more sense. Plus due to scaling to Sonic and Cell not having any new scaling outside his Z Saga, we don't need Archie to make it work since they should be somewhat near each other) 3 Sonic vs Goku (I can't really hate it, but I can say that it works much better fully compositing both, than doing any alt versions or canon ones) 4 Shadow vs Vegeta (Aside from Rivals who are the same race of their protag, I don't see much similarity between the two, however they have some interesting contrasts) 5 Knuckles vs Piccolo (it has some... Okay connections, but not much for dynamic unless you use Archie stuff, and even then they have more interesting and fitting options). That being said though, it's cool enough. Orange Piccolo vs Hyper Knuckles sounds Hype. I wouldn't hate this as an episode, but I'm also not exactly looking for it. Track is not what I expected, but it's very fitting. Love it

never really got the appeal for this MU, but tbh...Piccolo's ideas are either bad or acceptable at best so lol Anyways, if there's something good I can say about DBZonic MUs in general is that they do have good OST potential and this one is actually very descent.
Gigachad theme can be heard here because they often care for someone younger(tails and gohan respectively) and they are chads. But knuckles can knock out super sonic but piccolo can knock out second form frieza who scales to kaiokenx10 Goku in final form with no problem but piccolo's orange form was able to go toe to toe with Cell max who by the way was as strong as broly. Strong points here are piccolo's intelligence and knuckles strength but they both can transform at will(orange and rage/super) but piccolo is faster and stronger. Though solitary, you don't hurt their friends or their race because there will be hell to pay if you do. They also got replaced as rivals yes but they have fought the new rival before(sonic boom and the sayain saga) but they are calm steadfast warriors who care about the earth. I guess knuckles couldn't STEP ite up here. Although we could add archie feats and xenoverse/heroes feats for both but that would mean that piccolo would be high complex multiverse. This is before we as the scalers add hax to the mix piccolo's regen included so reply to argue your winner because mine is 7foot namek. Another connection for y'all they used to live in somewher not on earth(Angel island and planet namek) their dad was a royal(Demon King piccolo and a echidna elder) but they were trained to the limits of their own training every day. But piccolo's blown up the GODDANM moon before and knuckles can breathe in space so they are planet level in base. Either they transform near the end or at the middle point of the fight because their base was able to keep up with golden gods.

Knuckles has his punches, gliding, and items like the Shovel Claw for digging. Piccolo has his Special Beam Cannon and Light Grenade, plus the ability to regenerate lost limbs.

Regular knuckles I don't think would beat piccolo (not sure what game knuckles scales to) but 100% Archie knuckles could beat piccolo since Archie characters are just insane.

Really good track for a neutral rivalry MU in my retrospective. The name sounds cool, the art looks creative with Knuckles simply breaking his Master Emerald with Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon, and the music is great as always.
You know if Knuckles were to ever fight Piccolo I hope it would be Archie Knuckles just so we can see both Giant Orange Piccolo and Chaos Knuckles clashing
I also made a comment about how Archie Knuckles can defeat Piccolo, as he, in his Hyper Form, went on par with Archie Super Sonic, whose clash at each other in incalculable speeds.
I hope it wouldn't be Archie knuckles since that would be way too big of a stomp in knuckles favor, If we just use the games and of course super for Piccolo they're actually kind of close to each other

Would you look at that, one of the Dragon Ball matchups that I wouldn't mind seeing in Death Battle. Oh and it's a good song too ? Well that's a surprise and a half to be sure, but a welcome one.
Song's about one would expect from the matchup. Very fast, lots of energy with a slightly "cosmic" vibe to it with the synth that all fit the characters for reasons I don't feel I need to explain. It's a very catchy song that does perfectly what it strives to do and there's little else to ask of it.
I also really like that at times the song pretty much has 2 melodies playing at the same time (IE: 2:41-3:10) which is a great way to represent a two main things: first one being how Knuckles and Piccolo have vastly different personalities, one much more agressive and reckless which fits the lower pitched and faster melody while the other has a calmer and more precise character which fits the lower pitched and more consistent melody. And the second one is from those two characters' origins as the main protagonists' enemies which makes a duality between melodies make sense.
To go back on that first point I must also mention how, at least in the segment I cited as an example, it even follows through fight-wise as one can note that the lower pitched melody that fits Knuckles firstly begins by overpowering the second, higher pitched melody. This is a great way to represent how Knuckles, via his strength and speed would probably be the winner at the beginning of most of their scuffles. But as it progresses (IE: 2:55), the lower pitched melody loses momentum and only comes up in bursts while the higher pitched one stays constant from before which shows Knuckles' recklessness as he'd get tired before Piccolo due to this while the aforementioned, due to his personality and training, would have a lesser aggressivity but be consistent in his attacks and damage which would make him outlast Knuckles in engagements.
This is even consistent in the ending where Knuckles' melody stops at 4:24 only for the more stable one to be left, only that this time it has the backing of the bass and percussions that are working overtime to add power to the main melody which works as a great way to hint that Piccolo is capitalizing on Knuckles' final mistake of the battle to finish it with his most powerful attack.
Also feel like putting a special mention for the first "chorus" that appears during the first half of the fight (IE: 2:12-2:26) which I just find extremely good. It doesn't have anything more than what I mentioned that I feel like noting but I just particularly like it.
Overall this track is in the image of its matchup: something really good that is a shame hasn't been on Death Battle yet, eh. But yeah, it's a really nice song that fits both characters and gives room for good scenario-making with how it's written which makes it even better than it already is. Amazing work with this as always.

Funny that we get a tails track and a knuckles track almost back to back. Now that we have ultrasonic for sonic, true number two for tails, this for knuckles and to live in darkness for the final boss, it's gonna be fun completing Sonic adventure 2 on dreamcast

How the fight starts:
We open on Knuckles lying on the Master Emerald and taking a nap
We then cut to Piccolo looking around on Angel Island
Piccolo: The Dragon Ball has to be around here somewhere, the radar said so
Piccolo then looks up and sees the Master
Emerald, Piccolo’s eyes narrow before he then walks over to it but he then steps on a stick that wakes Knuckles up
Knuckles then sighs
Knuckles: Rouge I swear if you are trying to steal the Master Emerald agai- *Knuckles then sees Piccolo* and who might you be
Piccolo: Oh, uh I’m someone just passing through, actually I’m looking for something, a powerful artifact, can you help me find it?
Knuckles: a powerful artifact? *Knuckles then gasps* DO YOU MEAN THE MASTER EMERALD?!?!?!?
Piccolo: no?
Knuckles: DON’T PLAY DUMB WITH ME!!!!
Knuckles then hops on to the Master Emerald before gliding down to clash with Piccolo
How the Super forms activate:
Knuckles gets knocked back into the Master Emerald where he is then surrounded by small Ki balls
Piccolo: Hell Zone Grenade!
The orbs then collide to where Knuckles is but he digs out of the way before that happens
Piccolo: that should fry him
Knuckles then grabs Piccolo’s legs and pulls him underground and then Knuckles pop up from underground and then he looks at the destroyed Emerald
Knuckles: The Master Emerald, look at what you did, now I’m gonna make you pay
Knuckles begins wailing on Piccolo stuck in the ground and so Piccolo goes Orange and then bursts out of the ground knocking Knuckles back before performing a Masankapo and as the beam is coming towards knuckle he absorbs the broken pieces of the Master Emerald into him becoming Hyper Knuckles and no cells the Masankapo
Knuckles: first: you break into my home, then you lie to me, then you break my home and the Master Emerald and now, I’m going to break you

"Angel's Hell Zone" is really cute.
Verdict wise, I would go Knuckles. He has a much larger arsenal overall, and has more versatility and hax Piccolo hasn't shown a resistance to, such as time manipulation and stat manipulation. Super and Hyper Knuckles should outstat, and regardless of stats, Piccolo doesn't have a way past Super and Hyper's invulnerability.

Both characters hit Multiversal with their transformations (Orange and Super), but I feel Super should hit widely higher than current Dragon Ball stats, even counting the higher tiers in DBZ, such as the Angels, and Zeno. I also feel Super goes higher, speed wise, than DBZ currently does, but Knuckles's time manip, immobilization, and invincibility (mainly referring to Super/Hyper) sort of make speed a non-factor, on his side of things, I feel.

Ah Knuckles vs Piccolo. I have mixed feelings on the mu itself. I for one, like the Sonic vs Dragonball rivalry, but this is my least favorite of the major mus in said rivalry due to just having the least going for it. My current pecking order looks something like this:
1 Silver vs Trunks (Most thematic and is literally an inspiration vs Inspired mu)
2 Metal Sonic vs Cell (At first it felt forced to me, but later on it made more and more sense. Plus due to scaling to Sonic and Cell not having any new scaling outside his Z Saga, we don't need Archie to make it work since they should be somewhat near each other)
3 Sonic vs Goku (I can't really hate it, but I can say that it works much better fully compositing both, than doing any alt versions or canon ones)
4 Shadow vs Vegeta (Aside from Rivals who are the same race of their protag, I don't see much similarity between the two, however they have some interesting contrasts)
5 Knuckles vs Piccolo (it has some... Okay connections, but not much for dynamic unless you use Archie stuff, and even then they have more interesting and fitting options).
That being said though, it's cool enough. Orange Piccolo vs Hyper Knuckles sounds Hype. I wouldn't hate this as an episode, but I'm also not exactly looking for it.

Gigachad theme can be heard here because they often care for someone younger(tails and gohan respectively) and they are chads. But knuckles can knock out super sonic but piccolo can knock out second form frieza who scales to kaiokenx10 Goku in final form with no problem but piccolo's orange form was able to go toe to toe with Cell max who by the way was as strong as broly. Strong points here are piccolo's intelligence and knuckles strength but they both can transform at will(orange and rage/super) but piccolo is faster and stronger. Though solitary, you don't hurt their friends or their race because there will be hell to pay if you do. They also got replaced as rivals yes but they have fought the new rival before(sonic boom and the sayain saga) but they are calm steadfast warriors who care about the earth. I guess knuckles couldn't STEP ite up here. Although we could add archie feats and xenoverse/heroes feats for both but that would mean that piccolo would be high complex multiverse. This is before we as the scalers add hax to the mix piccolo's regen included so reply to argue your winner because mine is 7foot namek. Another connection for y'all they used to live in somewher not on earth(Angel island and planet namek) their dad was a royal(Demon King piccolo and a echidna elder) but they were trained to the limits of their own training every day. But piccolo's blown up the GODDANM moon before and knuckles can breathe in space so they are planet level in base. Either they transform near the end or at the middle point of the fight because their base was able to keep up with golden gods.

Regular knuckles I don't think would beat piccolo (not sure what game knuckles scales to) but 100% Archie knuckles could beat piccolo since Archie characters are just insane.
