This is Steve’s definitive matchup rather than him fighting Emmet from Lego Movie. Steve, like the Terrarian, is an avatar that doesn’t have a set list of feats or weapons and he is silent. Emmet like his more fitting opponent Jesse from Minecraft Story Mode has real feats, abilities, arsenal, and an actual personality!
well sorta. thematically only. Death Battle uses characters at their most powerful (or at least is supposed to), so Steve would die in a single hit he'd have no chance to dodge
It's tough to really gauge the power level of the Minecraft bosses in a vacuum, much less against the Terraria bosses. We *could* just put the Ender Dragon or the Wither as eldritch entities from literal other dimensions with powers unknowable... or they're just a big scary dragon and homunculus of skeletons respectively. I think a better way to gauge the fight would be the Terrarrian's gear being permanent and unbreakable, whereas Steve's gear is more fragile, but more versatile (I.E. can be enchanted, Redstone technology being easier to set up and use than the wire mechanics of Terraria and so on.)
And now, behold, the greatest pre-fight banter I will ever right. Steve: "..." Terrarian: "..." Steve: *teabags* Terririan: "..." *pulls out gun* Steve: "..." *Sprints in the other direction* *FIGHT*
FINALLY , AFTER YEARS , I KNOW FINALLY A COMISSION FOR THIS MATCH UP ENDED UP HAPPENING ! IT REALLY HAS THE VIBE OF BOTH GAMES , HUGE THANKS TO ANYONE THAT ORDER IT !
@Innonimate your thing heaven doing other stuff like Megaman matchup! Other stuff like X vs zero...... But I'm after years say.... Yes..... Thanks for years... So yeah it's my first birthday
I mean, this might be the best idea since the Terrarian gets blown to pieces and he respawns right away in his house. Steve blows up and respawns in his bed. Great idea!
EASILY my most wanted matchup period, I would love to see this be a real masters of the craft fight. I know DB seems more adamant about Minecraft vs Lego, which I do respect, but I think this matchup is perfect.
@@TheMightySceptile I think it's certainly a Terrarian dub but I wouldn't say it's a blowout. Since you have to put both combatants on the same playing field and compare their feats to real-world examples, Steve can hold up a lot better than you would think. Also, Steve has something crucial that Terrarian doesn't have, enchantments, which can give Steve some leverage in defense. Also trying to cover everything Terrarian could offer would mean a build for him in a fight would not be perfect, likely ending with a jack of all trades with no real class to lean on. I think it would be a lot more of an interesting fight than it is on paper, but Steve would still lose lol.
@@CodySweeso Even with Enchantments Steve's best gear isnt be close to matching up with end game terraria equipment and accessories, even with a generalized build. The damage output, range, and speed of the zenith by itself would rip thru all of steve's defenses in an instance.
Aaaaaand we're back once again to another track for a heck of an awesome matchup! Man does it bang, its so calm and adventurous like, almost like an end credits after you beat a game, hence the name, Journey's End. I've always wanted this for years, and I hope it'll happen soon someday
This is the only track that legitimately made me tear up, not because of sadness, but of joy. Both of these games are my childhood and the track just… is everything I would’ve wanted from something as epic as this, the way it slows down, the name, everything mixes together to create this feeling of nostalgia. And with that, I tip my nonexistent hat to everyone involved in this for creating my favorite track. Keep on making bangers Brandon.
I think it doesn't matter who the victor is in this fight, because it's going to leave a huge pool of tears watching either combatant die before all our eyes, with how many years we've spent as people watching their journeys unfold, playing the games and building these characters from the ground-up and watch as our efforts would turn these ordinary men into gods of untold legend. It will really tear the heart strings watching either of them as they take their last breath.
Nah it would be a tie there would be a plat twist at the end of it where it turned out it was all just a game for these 2 gods of creation and destruction
yeah, Steve just gets boned hard by Terrarian's just general advantage with gear. Hell. Fight wont get into melee, if Terrarian can just shoot Steve dead with the MULTIPLE ranged weapons they can use Sniper Rifle would just delete Steve imo
@@gameuniverse5973 Journey Mode and Creative Mode would render it a completely impossible fight for both, but technically in Steve's favour due to flight and automatic godmode, instead of a practically impossible fight in the Terrarian's favour
Okay, I've finally come back to this. I gave it some thought, and this SHOULD be the result. It's time. Two pixel mascots with different takes on world exploration and overall domination of the land you once struggled to thrive in. Taking the world you once knew, using it to better yourself, and using it to your advantage against your opponents. Now, face your mirror, edged incarnates, and shake hands, for it's time for a DEATH BATTLE. Minecraft's Steve -Strength: Steve is capable of lifting a nigh infinite amount of blocks, thanks to things such as shulker boxes, as well as netherite blocks, which are at least four times heavier than gold ones. A single inventory's worth of gold blocks would be about 45,702.4 tons, which can be raised to 182,809.6 tons with netherite alone, and with shulker boxes, it would be almost five million tons. -Durability: Given that players can continuously punch each other to death, and it requires some effort to do so between each other, it's likely that the player is _slightly_ more durable than their strength. -Speed: While his movement speed is fairly average, at about 7.12 m/s, it, as well as his agility, can be improved via potions of swiftness and leaping. Nonetheless, he can also fight at subsonic speeds, due to how Enderman can dodge even point blank arrows. -Abilities: Steve has a plethora of items with useful and unique abilities, often times taken for granted, especially in a versus match outside of his own world. His potions and enchantments are capable of various improvements and abilities to add to Steve's already impressive power. -Potions: Increases his strength, durability, speed/agility, healing, and resistances. Certain potions can be thrown to mix up or weaken the opponent. -Enchantments: Improves item durability, power, speed, granting the ability to catch enemies on fire, and improving knockback. Some enchantments are situational, like ones that improve underwater breathing and movement. -Blocks: Steve can place blocks to guard himself, imprison his targets, or to simply get away or move around. Some are affected by gravity, such as Sand and Anvils, and some cause damage on contact, such as Magma Blocks. Overall, Steve is fairly equipped to take on just about anyone that comes his way. - Terraria's Terrarian. -Strength: The Terrarian also has a fairly large inventory, with slightly more slots to deal with, and a higher stack amount. Can lift about thirty million tons, if we count Golden Dressers as three times the mass of a Gold Brick. -Durability: Can take just as much damage, not only from the original sources, but from other players as well. Equipment like the Worm Scarf and Ankh Shield can give insane damage reduction and immunity to certain status ailments entirely, as well as the Master Ninja Gear's dodging and dashing to avoid damage entirely. -Speed: Light speed via things like Master Ninja Gear, allowing dodges from laser/light-based attacks, such as the Shadowbeam Staff. Running can be enhanced via the Hermes Boots and its counterparts, and flight can be much faster because of wings, jet boots, cloud bottles, or even mounts such as the Shrimpy Truffle, which summons a Fishron that not only grants flight, but also gets faster in water or when below half health. A small damage buff also takes place with said speed buff. -Abilities: Can dodge with the Master Ninja Gear, ignore some debuffs, statuses or ailments with the Ankh Shield, resists damage outright with the Worm Scarf or Frozen Turtle Shell, dig through blocks with items like pickaxes, drills, axes, or even explosives and the Drill mount. Grappling hooks can be equipped for movement, and potions, as well as food, can be used to improve the Terrarian's stats. -Potions/Food: The Super Healing Potion can restore almost half the user's health, and the Super Mana Potion can recover practically all of the user's mana. Honey can be used to add another layer of health regeneration. Food such as the Golden Delight can give almost an hour's worth of stat buffs like damage, defense, speed, and healing. Other potions can help with ammo conservation, bow power and speed, block placement efficiency, dangersense, damage reduction of various kinds, underwater breathing, luck improvement, invisibility, magic power and recovery, night vision, immunity to lava, resistance to cold, improvement to knockback, damage back onto the attacker, increased speed, increased summoning power, better crits, decreasing the enemy's defense, poisoning enemies, catching them on fire, confusing them, and so on. -Equipment: The Terrarian, at best, can have access to magical weapons, such as the Nebula Blaze, Last Prism, Betsy's Wrath, as well as their summons, such as the Stardust Dragon, the Rainbow Crystal, flying knives, spiders, a frozen hydra, and such. Their best weapon, the Zenith, should be capable of all feats the other swords combined into itself have done, such as poisoning from the Blade of Grass, confusion from the Bee Keeper, burning from the Volcano, and various projectiles from the others. Aside from this, it can pass through blocks, as well as the world itself, dealing massive damage to enemies. The Ankh Shield slightly improves defense, as well as granting immunity to bleeding, broken armor, poisons, curses, slows, weakening, blinding, and such. It also provides immunity to fire-based blocks, and an almost complete immunity to knockback. - Results: Strength: Terrarian Durability: Terrarian Speed: Terrarian Equipment: Terrarian Here's how I figured out their strength. Through GOLD. Steve's Gold Blocks: 3.28 feet in length/width. Terrarian's Gold Bricks: 2 feet in length/width. Steve's blocks = 1.64 Terrarian's bricks Steve's total Gold Blocks in inventory (thru Shulker Boxes and filled player inventory): 255,744 Terrarian's total Gold Bricks in inventory (w/ superior Golden Dresser's three times mass, and stack of 9999 each slot): 1,499,850 Difference: The Terrarian is almost six times as strong as Steve with this math alone. More info will be included in the comments!
In terms of strength, I had originally thought that Steve had the advantage, and easily at that. While it could be argued that Steve could have the more consistent in-game strength feats, such as with stacking Ender Chests on top of the Shulker Boxes, there's still the lore of Terraria to take into account, and other feats seen in-game (such as the moon being "dragged closer" via the Celestial Pillars.) While I find the Terrarian's lore feats questionable, I also find the higher scale of Steve's strength feats questionable, as is why I ignored them both, and went with my own scaling. Even with them, the Terrarian is still seen as stronger, and by extent, more durable. For speed, there's also no contest here. While Steve can be superior to an Enderman in ways, who can point-blank dodge any projectile, the Terrarian is literally just as, if not faster, than light speed, thanks to the Master Ninja Gear. Even without it, Steve's travel speed is inferior to the Terrarian's. Even if Steve could run double of his 7.12 meters per second, that's only 32 MPH. On the other hand, the Terrarian can be seen going well over this with things like the Shrimpy Truffle, grapple hooks, or even just his Hermes Boots items, which improve their running speed from 15 to 34 MPH, just slightly higher than double Steve's speed. As of their equipment, they're at least fairly matched... which is an understatement to the Terrarian. While it's true that building is Steve's bread and butter, it's far from what the Terrarian can do. They can improve how fast they can place blocks, how fast they dig blocks, and the ones they can dig are much tougher than what Steve can dig. It takes Steve forever to dig something like Obsidian, which the Terrarian can simply.. break in one hit with just the Molten Pickaxe, an item they get even before the Wall of Flesh.. which is before ANY of their crazier items. Steve's potions can be matched and even exceeded by the Terrarian's much more plentiful choices, and though they can't be thrown, it wouldn't do much in the first place, given that they both have resistances, immunities, or ways around each other's debuffs. Both can be immune to fire and lava, slows, poisons, blinding, weakening, but the Terrarian also has ways around Steve's damaging blocks, like Magma Blocks, given the Obsidian Shield's immunity to fire-based blocks. On the other hand, while it is debatable if Steve can use milk to rid of some of the Terrarian's debuffs, such as Confusion, Cursed Inferno, Frostburn, Ichor, Acid Venom, Shadowflame, and Betsy's Curse/Miasma, even if he could get rid of these on command with said milk, not only would it get rid of most of his buffs (excluding buffs from things like a beacon), it would also leave him with one less milk to use.. and said debuffs can always be reapplied thanks to the Terrarian's practically infinite mana pool, thanks to things like mana cost reduction, mana regeneration, mana pool increases, and the likes. This doesn't include the Terrarian's own resistances to Steve's various abilities. The Terrarian's Obsidian/Ankh Shield would ignore Steve's attempts at knockback, even with an enchantment specifically designed for it. Lastly, their weapons and armor. There's still no contest. While Steve's enchanted Netherite armor is impressive, with Protection, Unbreaking and Mending being fairly useful and undeniably the best choices for this fight, there's still the Terrarian's to consider. But first, we'll go over Steve's. Steve's Protection enchantment, assuming level 4 is on all four pieces of armor, applies a damage reduction to most (if not all) sources by 64%. The armor alone provides a boost, where a damage value of 5 would be reduced to 1, and a killing blow of 20 damage would just be reduced to 7. The higher the damage, the less the armor protects from, though there is a minimum of 16% damage reduction for both Diamond and Netherite. As for the Terrarian, defense works in a much more simple manner. In Classic mode, 1 defense covers 0.5 damage, and the damage reduction increases by 0.25 for every difficulty increase, going to 0.75 in Expert, and a full 1 point of damage reduction in Master mode. There is also damage reduction in the form of percentages, with things like the Worm Scarf and the Frozen Turtle Shell, which decreases damage taken by 17% and 25% respectively. As for the armor the Terrarian is using, let's assume an endgame build with Solar Flare armor. The full set provides 78, plus a set bonus that provides a 30% damage reduction with three charges to it that regenerate overtime. This analysis will not include the various other buffs, for simplicity's sake. As for the accessories, let's assume the Master mode's seven accessory slots, which will have no modifiers, and consist of Solar Wings, Terraspark Boots, Celestial Shell, Ankh Shield, Master Ninja Gear, Worm Scarf, and Frozen Turtle Shell. This would be a total of 86 defense, with four new movement options, and two damage reduction factors... not including the Solar Flare armor set bonus, the increased defense at night thanks to the Werewolf buff, the dodging, or literally ANY of the other abilities, weapons or tools available to the Terrarian, such as grappling hooks, the Zenith, or even the previously mentioned modifiers that can increase damage, defense, speed, critical hit chance, and so on. Said armor is capable of tanking a hit from the Moon Lord, letting the Terrarian not only survive, but potentially even outright ignore the damage thanks to either the dodging, or the health regeneration from both the Celestial Shell and the Solar Flare armor's health regeneration increases. Let's make a comparison real quick, to Terraria's final boss: The Moon Lord. But we're not making the Terrarian fight it.. we're comparing Steve to it. The Moon Lord's Phantasmal Deathray deals 150 damage on normal mode. If we use the multiplier between Steve and the Terrarian from earlier, this would be almost 880 damage, enough to one-shot even the Terrarian without damage resistances or dodging.. but could Steve tank it? As we've seen before, Steve's base armor reduces as the damage taken increases, so we'll just assume the 16% minimum reduction, as well as the 64% reduction. We'll also be combining them, reaching Minecraft's maximum damage reduction values of 80%. This leaves us with 176 damage, which compared to a Terrarian's 500 HP to Steve's 20 HP, should be about 7 points of damage. So in normal mode, Steve can certainly tank a ray to the face.. but what about Master mode? Given that it triples the damage.. it would just barely be enough to one-shot Steve. Meanwhile, the Terrarian, while they would likely be heavily injured even with fairly optimal gear, they would still survive, compared to Steve at his absolute best. The base Master mode's 450 damage alone would still leave an *unarmored Terrarian* with 50 health. So it's safe to say that the Terrarian has much more abilities and equipment, let alone much more power and durability, compared to Steve. The Terrarian had a pixel perfect victory.
@@HorizonbergArkhalis The same thing can be said about the Ender Chest, which can theoretically hold other Ender Chests just fine, which holds themselves over and over. Even if Steve had the advantage in strength, be it even ten times, the Terrarian still would have far greater mobility, with much more utility and types of attacks to throw at Steve. Landing a hit would prove difficult for Steve, which, even if he did land a hit, things like the Master Ninja Gear could simply negate it, and the Terrarian's superior armor would at least give them a chance at surviving such a blow.
This is genuinely one of my favourite custom tracks for Death Battle (Probably my second or third favorite), and even though Steve gets absolutely shredded in this fight, there is basically limitless potential for how the fight could go.
@@doodlehead081 Have you ever tried putting a Shulker Box inside another without using commands to edit their NBT data? Because normally it's impossible. If Steve is only allowed access to vanilla Survival Mode, while he can carry a lot thanks to Shulker Boxes, his inventory space is still finite. Now if you want to give him access to commands anyway, that's a whole other can of worms, since it would only be fair to give Terrarian access to console commands as well, and at that point, they're both capable of just banning each other.
@@omegaotaku1342 yeah but he can still have is his inventory full of shulkers that can all hold god apples and since we know god apples are made from 8 blocks of gold and an apple, we could calculate how much 8 blocks of gold would weigh, how much an average apple can weigh and then figure out how many god apples we can have in our inventory since they have 64 stack making Steve pretty strong ngl
With Dungeons this is actually closer then expected. Endgame dungeons weapons can easily match to endgame Terrarian weapons. It's all down to whos faster and whos more experienced at that point, and I'm sure Terrarian takes that easily.
Y'know, after Therewolf's One Shall Stand I didn't think I would almost twice in a row jump like a child at the view of a commission track matchup. Well I got freaking *tricked* because *LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOO IT'S STEVE VS TERRARIAN !* Tho whoever commissioned this, I thank you from the very bottom of my heart. This matchup is one of the MUs that I've liked ever since I've been *a child.* "Legacy" does not even begin to describe my feelings towards this matchup. Yes, it's true that Skye Tehgm already made a track for it (which is nice btw) but it just doesn't hit the same as Brandon's tracks so to see this is a borderline dream come true. Terrarian VS Steve and as a whole Minecraft VS Terraria is something that's been apart of the internet ever since both games' releases and I was born at a the perfect time to fall right into the first Minecraft golden age along with Terraria being one of my favorite games overall so of course this clash of both franchises is something I adore. And damn did this song do justice to the matchup. It's everything I wanted from it and then some more. It fits perfectly the atmosphere of both games by being overall very nostalgic-sounding. It's hard to describe in details but it's a mix of heroism, sadness and calm which gives a clear feeling of nostalgia which is perhaps one of the most discerning traits of both those games. Both Terraria and Minecraft along with their rivalries started and strived in an environment where many people like me were quite young and remember as simpler times where they'd get on UA-cam/their console/PC and just play the games or watch videos of their favorite UA-camrs unlocking Lucky Blocks or finding new ways to beat the Dungeon Guardian among other things. And this feeling of nostalgia is perfectly encapsulated in this song as it really makes you feel like you're back in those times not caring about a thing in the world aside from your favorite games, only to realize that alas those are now gone. Of course it also fits the games on a less meta level because Minecraft's OST is quite often associated with calmer and simpler tracks which is reflected here and Terraria's OST is characterized by quite simple, altho sometimes intense, songs which also is represented there quite well. So this track works both on a meta level and on a character level. And also how can I not mention the musical references in there ? Of course there's the classic Minecraft synth that can be heard throughout the song along with the general gritty synth of Terraria but most importantly *there's the Revenge leitmotif !* And GOSH do I love that. Now sadly for Brandon he got overtaken at this by Therewolf and Build Battle that also features a Revenge segment which does mean it's less surprising but it doesn't make it any less cool to hear this monument of a parody song included in the track. And it's also very interesting to see how both artists included the track in their work. Therewolf went for a select segment that focuses heavily on it while Brandon decided to include it as a "secondary" melody in a few moments throughout the song. Both inclusions are sensibly different but they're just as good and again it's simply beautiful to hear it here. Revenge is a symbol of Minecraft's golden age (and resurgence a year or so ago now) and to hear it included in this track is another great way to make that nostalgia be felt, especially when it completes the main melody near the end as it adds to that nostalgia and really feels like this ending starting at 4:15 is a culmination of the whole entire Terraria and Minecraft history where everything combines to give out the perfect finale that ends in an emotional synth/piano duo to add the cherry on top. This song is simply impossible for me to cover point by point because it's not so much a song to accompany a theoretical fight as much as it's one to *represent* both franchises and their history. Of course you could make a scenario for it as it would definitely work. But it makes you *feel* more than it makes you *imagine* and that's a wonderful thing in my opinion as, as someone that has major troubles actually feeling emotional for anything other than the basics, actually feeling complex things via a song is something I adore. It's not just a song for Steve VS Terrarian, it's a song where the second part of the title arguably fits more than the characters themselves: this *is* Minecraft VS Terraria put into a 5minute song and I love it. Overall I know I say it often but here it's better fit than almost anywhere else: this song is absolute perfection for what it strives to be and the things it represents. It fits the characters, it fits the games, it uses wonderfully implemented and it's an absolutely grandiose matchup. I know I'm massively biased because of my liking towards the matchup, yes. And maybe I'm exaggerating a lot and I'll end up thinking the song isn't as good when the novelty wears out. But for now, I simply cannot understate how grateful I am for this song. Oh and also, I didn't mention it before but that name is of course perfect. A nicer turn on the name would probably have been "The End Of The Journey" but this one is still great. So yeah, truly absolutely legendary work with this and thank you for doing it along with commissioning it for the person that did so.
@Innonimate Well that just makes it even better, both for the song and for the fact that it's a really funny coincidence that he did so when Therewolf did too (altho Idk if for Therewolf it was requested for the commissioner). Also, once again thanks for commissioning this.
@@innonimate- The vocals don't have to be from the perspective of the characters themselves, I still think some lyrics about the struggle between these two games would be nice. Also, I think it's worth mentioning that Couple's Night Out wasn't afraid to have vocals from Neo's perspective even though she's mute.
His “I.. am Steve” feat gets him to atleast multi or above. Him uttering that single phrase causes him to transcend the time and space of his infinite world
Indeed fitting to post this after getting back from Japan. And as per usual, you killed it with this. This is also tied for my favorite track of the volume now, with I Am This Machine. I like how the name is journeys end, a reference to the 1.4 update to terraria which was intended to be the last update to the game. Its been 3 years and we're still getting updates. Also steve and terrarian would either be really good allies or steve would be dead
A lot of people here are saying "stats are fairly even if you ignore the skybox arguments". I have a few problems with this. 1. According to the tenth anniversary lore update, the Moon Lord is capable of destroying the fabric of the universe itself. Quote "The fabric of Terraria seemed to be on the precipice of doom" with Terraria in this context being a universe. 2. The spirits contained by the Wall of Flesh can cause solar eclipses to happen, as evidenced by the events that begin occurring when you start hardcore mode, which implies they're capable of moving the moon to some degree. Given the Terrarian killed the thing that was holding them back, I think they should pretty evidently scale to that. So, yeah, a few more arguments to address there.
As much as I want the Terrarian to completely curb stomp Steve, the latter has something of a similar feat if you accept that he IS in Minecraft Dungeons (there's at least his skin). The final boss of the game is the Heart of Ender, which, according to the Minecraft wiki, "no longer wishes to rule the Overworld in favor of enacting revenge by destroying all dimensions".
@da_purple_lizard Oh, shit, the matchup is actually debatable then. That's awesome. Pretty sure the Terrarian still wins then, though. They're remarkably more versatile, particularly when it comes to flight options and ranged attacks. If his Elytra gets destroyed, Steve is basically a sitting duck reliant on Ender Pearls and his bows are much more limited compared to the Terrarian's plethora of guns. Steve can't do anything against getting Corrupted by the Hallow given how we know it works, whereas similar options for Steve such as the Wither effect can just be healed through until they wear off. The fight may actually be genuinely debatable now, but the Terrarian still has the much better kit.
Actually we got a Fan Death battle already and BOI it was fire really cool battle nobody really thought on Terrarian and Steve just being alright and having a nice PVP and talking mid battle like WHAT!? death battle should hire these mfs they know what they doing This track is really cool i think it captivates the essence of Minecraft music and Terraria music too, Minecraft for being chill and terraria for being hard and epic, really nice combination
This slaps hard man Also if this match ever gets into Death battle, they will probably have Steve use Dungeons and Legends weapons to make it a little more fair? Idk, maybe I'm overthinking it
Steve:"i got a netherite sword, crossbow with rockets, heakth and attack potions and all of my weapons are enchanted!" Terrarian: *Laughs in Celebration MK2,Zenith,Last prism and S.D.M.G*
I am both happy and sad that this is made. Happy because an actual terraria vs Minecraft them exists now. Sad because since this soundtrack was made without an actual death battle means it will most likely never be made into an official death battle. For those of you who can decide who is in death battle, please hear this request to make this into an actual death battle
A match for the ages, 2D vs 3D. It’s been around for as long as I remember these two existing. However It’s a stomp, not to the curb but pretty heavily favored in the terrarian's favor. Steve can possibly have the capability of killing his "counterpart" because of his inherent strength to carry god know how many heavy objects and the terrarians inherent squishiness with most loadouts, but the speed and offensive potency of the Cthullu's bane is absolutely massive.
With stuff from dungeons and legends Steve should win.Dangeond is canon and legends is semi canon with there being evidence of the events happening in that game.
Banger track, shame terrarian would STOMP steve in a actual death battle. like steve has killed the ender dragon and wither, terrarian has killed a eldritch horror with relative ease.
I can somewhat see this can be a deathbattle where the opponent mourns for the fighter they defeated. like steve or the terrarian like crafts a grave for whoever gets defeated first, and places a rose/Daybloom on their grave.
Steve entering Smash: I'm invincible, no one can beat me *The Terrarian has been summoned* Steve: Oh no brother. Fighters: You have save us, thank you fighter Terrarian: Save them? no no, they are just in charge of a new administration
I like to imagine this isnt for a Death Battle, and so neither wind up dying. Instead, the battle goes from combat to a build battle of sorts, with Steve and the Terrarian growing proud of the other's creativity. They wind up becoming build buddies, build a town for all the Terraria npc's and a bunch of villagers. Now I want a Terraria x Minecraft mashup.
Someone actually made this fight happen. Basically the fight was a pvp between them. At the end they said GG and left the server. It's call fan battle and they really did their research.

@@ChaosIncarnate-o5x I’m not saying we should restrict it to just vanilla Minecraft, I’m saying that legends canonicity is too shaky to be reliably used in this MU. Minecraft dungeons is canon and it helps Steve have a wider arsenal than without it.
We all know Steve loses miserably. But, you could have a few really neat set pieces during the fight. Steve using an enchanted trident to chase a winged Terrarian through a rainy battlefield. A duel on redstone minecarts where an explosion drops them into lava. Both use potions to continue fighting while swimming in lava. It has potential to be flashy
I stand this. I imagine a scene where Steve is getting the upper hand in a normal sword fight only for the Terrarian to overwhelm him immediately with the zenith.
@@randomuser.5356 one can only hope. If this fight ever happens I do want steve to at least show some advantage at least once. Maybe better combat experience or using Redstone traps.
To me I don't think it means Terrarian loses, it's more like a metaphor for the games themselves as a whole (hence why a Diamond Sword is used instead of a Netherite one, since the former is more iconic despite being weaker). Terraria's about to receive its final update, whereas Minecraft definitely doesn't have an end in sight. It's like, after all these years, Minecraft finally won. Hence the name, "Journey's End". It's even a metaphor for the gameplay within either game. Terraria ends after beating the Moon Lord. Sure, you can keep working on postgame goals such as getting the final armor sets, the Shellphone, and the Zenith, but most people will stop playing a world after beating the Moon Lord, since at that point, you will have already seen most of what the game has to offer. But in Minecraft... sure, there's the goal of killing _End_ ermen and getting _Ender_ Pearls then Eyes of _Ender_ so you can go to the _End,_ but the game doesn't truly end after beating the Ender Dragon. There's so much more world out there for you to explore while you build to your heart's content. Minecraft has almost always had more of a focus on the sandbox elements rather than the survival elements. Terraria has reached its Journey's End, whereas Minecraft stretches on for infinity. A poetic end to a 10 year rivalry. ...That doesn't say anything about the fight itself though. Clearly Terrarian roflstomps and soloes.
Ah, the infamous matchup not for who wins but for how people argue incessantly over whether or not the Terrarian scales to the skybox texture altering. Steve: +Stronger without Moon scaling arguments +More defensive options with armor and potions +Redstone offers greater flexibility +Milk is superior at removing ailments +Guinness World Records holder =Equally resistant to heat and freezing =Respected by Re-Logic -Lower speed and mobility -Many contraptions require longer setups -Inferior summons and ranged weaponry -Clayton Ray Huff Terrarian: +Eclipses stats with Moon scaling arguments +Greater reactions and maneuverability +Greater combat experience overall +Overall greater inventory space +Kept their voice (seriously, why, Mojang??) =Fairly equal survival skills =Respected by Mojang -Not all accessories counter Steve's debuffs -Has few counters to redstone devices -Magic damage eliminated defensive options -No more major updates 😔😔😔😔
Even without Moon scaling arguments (or even the galaxy/universal arguments), Steve isn't stronger since the TNT vaporization arguments are complete horseshit. I don't see why we should assume the iron was vaporized as opposed to pulverized. And even if it did release enough energy to level a city, there's no way it would leave a crater only a few meters wide, it would instead leave a crater big enough to crash your game.

Emmet like his more fitting opponent Jesse from Minecraft Story Mode has real feats, abilities, arsenal, and an actual personality!
I prefer emmet fights Rhys from borderlands story mode in my option since both are guys being thurst into situation that there not at all used to
well sorta. thematically only. Death Battle uses characters at their most powerful (or at least is supposed to), so Steve would die in a single hit he'd have no chance to dodge
If we take the feats of Minecraft Doungeos maybe Steve have something, but, Terrarian is literally a God

Its kind of a blow out unless you restrict the terrarian to pre-hardmode gear tho.
Minecraft's Steve
-Strength: Steve is capable of lifting a nigh infinite amount of blocks, thanks to things such as shulker boxes, as well as netherite blocks, which are at least four times heavier than gold ones.
-
Terraria's Terrarian.

Here's how I figured out their strength. Through GOLD.
Steve's Gold Blocks: 3.28 feet in length/width.
Terrarian's Gold Bricks: 2 feet in length/width.
Steve's blocks = 1.64 Terrarian's bricks
Steve's total Gold Blocks in inventory (thru Shulker Boxes and filled player inventory): 255,744
Terrarian's total Gold Bricks in inventory (w/ superior Golden Dresser's three times mass, and stack of 9999 each slot): 1,499,850
Difference: The Terrarian is almost six times as strong as Steve with this math alone.
This is why I think Death Battle wants to put him again Emmet from the lego movie, Steve may have a better chance
Doesnt the "bottomless water bucket" automatically give terrarian the "infinite strength" advantage there too?
@@HorizonbergArkhalis The same thing can be said about the Ender Chest, which can theoretically hold other Ender Chests just fine, which holds themselves over and over. Even if Steve had the advantage in strength, be it even ten times, the Terrarian still would have far greater mobility, with much more utility and types of attacks to throw at Steve. Landing a hit would prove difficult for Steve, which, even if he did land a hit, things like the Master Ninja Gear could simply negate it, and the Terrarian's superior armor would at least give them a chance at surviving such a blow.
Should we include 3d vs 2d stuff?
This is genuinely one of my favourite custom tracks for Death Battle (Probably my second or third favorite), and even though Steve gets absolutely shredded in this fight, there is basically limitless potential for how the fight could go.
That’s what I’m thinking, the fight has many possibilities where they try different combinations of items against each other
Technically Steve is infinitely strong since shulker boxes can hold shulker boxes
@@doodlehead081 I don't think they can, but ok

Y'know, after Therewolf's One Shall Stand I didn't think I would almost twice in a row jump like a child at the view of a commission track matchup. Well I got freaking *tricked* because *LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOO IT'S STEVE VS TERRARIAN !*
Tho whoever commissioned this, I thank you from the very bottom of my heart.
@Innonimate
Well that just makes it even better, both for the song and for the fact that it's a really funny coincidence that he did so when Therewolf did too (altho Idk if for Therewolf it was requested for the commissioner).
Also, once again thanks for commissioning this.
@Innonimate may I ask: vocal version for it?
@@innonimate- The vocals don't have to be from the perspective of the characters themselves, I still think some lyrics about the struggle between these two games would be nice. Also, I think it's worth mentioning that Couple's Night Out wasn't afraid to have vocals from Neo's perspective even though she's mute.
Brandon Yates isn't the only one to Commission "Steve vs. Terrarian".

Hey there, Brandon. Hope you had a nice travel to Japan. As always, a really banger song from a really banger guy. Thanks for that.
I love this so much, I really love the revenge motifs.
This is epic! Definitely one of the best Minecraft and Terraria mu tracks
I like how the name is journeys end, a reference to the 1.4 update to terraria which was intended to be the last update to the game. Its been 3 years and we're still getting updates. Also steve and terrarian would either be really good allies or steve would be dead
It’s a shame they won’t be able to use this song when this becomes an actual video because this music is epic.
Boomstick: in the end steve just wasnt crafty enough. This fight was set in stone.
WOW. This came out of nowhere… And it’s AWESOME!!!
PERFECTLY BALANCED
(proceeds tp oneshot a warden and the dungeon guardian)
WE MAKIN IT OUTTA THE NETHER WITH THIS ONE 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Actually we got a Fan Death battle already and BOI it was fire really cool battle nobody really thought on Terrarian and Steve just being alright and having a nice PVP and talking mid battle like WHAT!? death battle should hire these mfs they know what they doing
This track is really cool i think it captivates the essence of Minecraft music and Terraria music too, Minecraft for being chill and terraria for being hard and epic, really nice combination
Banger Track as always honestly really wish Steve won this but still best for both This has so much potential to be a Crazy fight
Steve would most likely win given the insane shit he can go through in the spin offs.
Hey Brandon i really love this one😁 I hope you enjoyed your Japan trip😊
I love how Brandon Yates is written in a Minecraft board
😮 hell yeah 😁 the synthwave infused with adventurous tones love it 😆 and another like for ya lad... may more see your genius 😁
This is actually sick!
This slaps hard man
Also if this match ever gets into Death battle, they will probably have Steve use Dungeons and Legends weapons to make it a little more fair?
Idk, maybe I'm overthinking it
There also the official novels
@@gameuniverse5973And there's Terraria's DC comic as well as the Chinese Terraria game
This music is sick and I would really like to see them in battle
that would be such a cool battle they need to do this matchup
Good thing i didn't commission this, it would have sounded waaaay too terraria sided. This i feel is the best of both worlds. Good job
Steve:"i got a netherite sword, crossbow with rockets, heakth and attack potions and all of my weapons are enchanted!"
Terrarian: *Laughs in Celebration MK2,Zenith,Last prism and S.D.M.G*
This is cool! Thank you for making this.
I suppose it's not my preferred for Steve, at all, but I understand some like the matchup, of course.
Well I've heard some people say that Steve might have a chance if he's given the weapons from Dungeons but I've never played it so idk
I mean terrarian can hold a metric shit ton of stuff as well
With stuff from dungeons and legends Steve should win.Dangeond is canon and legends is semi canon with there being evidence of the events happening in that game.
I really hope this death battle happens, both games are my childhood. Please Death Battle, make it happen 🙏
Terrarian is 2D, Steve is 3D. All Steve would have to do is take a step to the side, and the Terrarian couldn't hit him.
You my sir, deserve a like.
Terraria is 2D, not Terrarian. Pretty much all promotional material for Terraria depicts the characters as 3D.
a very sad theme for both as if-if one dies, they will be forever forgotten while the other one will forever be remembered
Nobody's going to forget either of them.
A battle of legends...
who will win... the feller of eldritch gods
or the hero of the end
This is the 420th track in my playlist, great timing
Banger track, shame terrarian would STOMP steve in a actual death battle.
like steve has killed the ender dragon and wither, terrarian has killed a eldritch horror with relative ease.
LETSS GOOOO IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Me: Oh wow, this is a jammin track, I love it!
The Track: *gets to **0:45*

A track for two games that said hey who needs fancy graphics when you have creative gameplay.
Nice this going to be epic
I LOVE THE 3D ART STYLE, GOOD JOB 1.000000/10
Never expected this but holy crap its good!
I can somewhat see this can be a deathbattle where the opponent mourns for the fighter they defeated.
like steve or the terrarian like crafts a grave for whoever gets defeated first, and places a rose/Daybloom on their grave.
literally if this became a reality it would be a fight from another world
Ooo I'm never this early. Already a banger.
Imagine the Terrarian having the upper hand the entire fight until Steve starts attacking from the side.
Very desperate argument
We craft new territory in in this match up
I like this
Welcome back Brandon
Steve entering Smash: I'm invincible, no one can beat me
*The Terrarian has been summoned*
Steve: Oh no brother.
Fighters: You have save us, thank you fighter Terrarian: Save them? no no, they are just in charge of a new administration
Finally a real matchup
The shit is amazing!
Though at 1:00 it sounds like the noise tomb crawler's make and I had war flashbacks for a moment 😅
HOLY SHIT. JUST HOLY FUCKING SHIT ITS REAL.
@@Rage_BlocksAlthought I'm not really agree with the outcome but the PVP scenario is really nice

@@lightingbettle I'm guessing Minecraft Legends?

Reminder that whoever wins, the villagers and Townsfolk lose
*You are the villain*
Steve when the terrarin pulls out the vampire knives: 💀
We all know Steve loses miserably. But, you could have a few really neat set pieces during the fight.
Steve using an enchanted trident to chase a winged Terrarian through a rainy battlefield. A duel on redstone minecarts where an explosion drops them into lava. Both use potions to continue fighting while swimming in lava. It has potential to be flashy
I stand this. I imagine a scene where Steve is getting the upper hand in a normal sword fight only for the Terrarian to overwhelm him immediately with the zenith.
@@Createrz2015 Even in a normal sword fight Night's Edge would obliterate Steve
@@randomuser.5356 one can only hope. If this fight ever happens I do want steve to at least show some advantage at least once. Maybe better combat experience or using Redstone traps.
Banger track. Too bad this is a one sized stomp. RIP ma boy Steve
My one gripe is why the hell the Zenith is the one getting broken, it's literally like 12 swords in 1 XD
not to mention terraria doesn't even have durability mechanics
Yeah, this score art doesn't look as good as the score art I borrowed for my Daybroken Diamonds video.
Ah, the infamous matchup not for who wins but for how people argue incessantly over whether or not the Terrarian scales to the skybox texture altering.
Steve:
+Stronger without Moon scaling arguments
+More defensive options with armor and potions
+Redstone offers greater flexibility
+Milk is superior at removing ailments
+Guinness World Records holder
=Equally resistant to heat and freezing
=Respected by Re-Logic
-Lower speed and mobility
-Many contraptions require longer setups
-Inferior summons and ranged weaponry
-Clayton Ray Huff
Terrarian:
+Eclipses stats with Moon scaling arguments
+Greater reactions and maneuverability
+Greater combat experience overall
+Overall greater inventory space
+Kept their voice (seriously, why, Mojang??)
=Fairly equal survival skills
=Respected by Mojang
-Not all accessories counter Steve's debuffs
-Has few counters to redstone devices
-Magic damage eliminated defensive options
-No more major updates 😔😔😔😔
Even without Moon scaling arguments (or even the galaxy/universal arguments), Steve isn't stronger since the TNT vaporization arguments are complete horseshit. I don't see why we should assume the iron was vaporized as opposed to pulverized. And even if it did release enough energy to level a city, there's no way it would leave a crater only a few meters wide, it would instead leave a crater big enough to crash your game.
