Answer: Philippines is the oldest Asian country defense treaty that US made. So not honoring it's oldest treaty in Asia no country will ever believe in it.
USA favored the Korea, Japan, and Taiwan throughout the past year in terms of investment and military bases. Now it realized it still need the Philippines to influence the region. It invested on Taiwan instead of the Philippines, which is quite suspicious because Taiwan has been a part of Chinese political identity; they, too, seek claim on the whole South China Sea like their mainland counterpart. USA should not be suprised that majority of the Filipinos do not trust the USA, as much as they do not trust China. Both superpowers are warmongers to the eyes of the growing nationalists in the country.

The islands in the South China Seas are disputed territory and the South China Seas are international waters. A 200 miles EEZ is not sovereignty only fishing rights and oil resources below the waters. Ships both civilian and military can sail through a country’s EEZ. We(US) must stop aiding and abetting Philippines in not returning the stolen Zhongye Dao/Thitu Island and the other 10 islands, shoals, etc., in South China Sea, which were under ROC/Taiwan’s administration. These islands were stolen by Phiipines from ROC/Taiwan when it was too weak to defend from Philipines and pressure from the US. Also, we must stop aiding and abetting Japan in not returning the stolen Diaoyu/Senkaku which it stole after invading and annexing Luchu(Okinawa) that was previously an independent country. In addition, we should dismantle the military base on occupied land of Luchu(Okinawa). The Japanese people doesn't like the base on Japan's own soil, so Japan and US collude to put it on Luchu's lands. If we won’t stop, it is only because US wants to keep the existing military bases in the South and East China Seas and building more for geopolitical dominance. If US goes further in aiding and abetting Phillipines and Japan in any shape or form regarding SCS or Diaoyu, we(US) are continuing on the wrong path on the wrong side of history. If you were not aware before, you are aware now. If you continue that path, shame on you.

!5:21 That's an oversimplification of the US position. The US accepts and respects that the PRC has a "One-China" policy or principle. As does Taiwan. However, the US is more "pro-status quo", than agreeing with China's assertion, or Taiwan's assertions. On the diplomatic front, the US position is that China and Taiwan's differences and issues should be resolved by China and Taiwan, preferably amicably, diplomatically, and peaceably. The US is against either party upsetting the status quo. So if China invades Taiwan to forceably reunite Taiwan, the US MAY come to Taiwan's aid. However if Taiwan unilaterally declares independence, thus provoking China to attack Taiwan, the US MAY NOT come to Taiwan's aid. This is the US "Strategic Ambiguity" policy when it comes to Taiwan. Of course, the US has its own agenda and national interests, and the prevailing opinion is that an independent and free (from the CCP) Taiwan is critical to US's interests so the US would be likely to intervene militarily to defend Taiwan.
"Strategic Ambiguity" should be analyzed by the Filipinos. Biden can say one thing but his intentions are pretty much like "use American weapons to fight China". Zelensky and Marcos Jr. will earn the recognition of being warriors of democracy while their nations become barren lands with displaced widowed women and children labeled as pitiful refugees. Is it worth it? You are lucky that Xi is not Putin, Filipinos. Stop asking for a war.
Full control of the U.S. military bases in the 1990s were not turned over. The bases were closed and vacated in 1992 and the U.S. military had to leave the Philippines. Actually the desire of the U.S. to renew the bases lease was rejected by the Philippine Senate in a close vote of 12-11. The U.S. had to close and leave the bases in 1992.

Every country should respect other territories, including the USA and China. When powers rise, they tend to spread their influence outwards. Think about how the British, Germany, Japan and US dominated the rest of their 'backyards' and the rest of the world when rising as world power. As ordinary citizens of smaller nations, we do not mind the peaceful spread of soft power but dislike those with domineering stance, from both sides of the conflicting powers now.

Correction the subic bay naval station and clark air base isn’t placed correctly in this infographics.
Correction on the location of Subic Naval Base and Clark Air Base the pin is pinned on Palawan for Subic Naval Base and Clark is pinned on Samar Island. Subic Naval was located on Subic Bay, Olongapo City bordering the Province of Bataan, while Clark Air Base in Pampanga both are on Luzon Island.
@3:51 Clark Air base and Subic bay are not in Palawan and Samar, Subic is located in Zambales, and Clark air base is nearby located at Pampanga.
You mapped Clark Air base and Subic Bay Naval station in the wrong place they are almost near to each other
Yeah, the map was reversed engineered by China, oops
Ok ccp puppet. Well we, the actual US people, will not let communism and authoritarianism win.
Yeah sure, we believe you are a US citizen 🙄
Infographics show
To the last Filipino? 😂😂😂
I'm pretty sure that smart Filipinos will stay away from the leased american bases. Just to give China a clear run 😊
nice!!!!
Info graphic?
simple. to avoid bringing the war to America.
The West should support the Philippines in order for the latter to progress economically. A progressive Philippines will enable it to upgrade and modernize its military so that it can better counter chinese military aggression and expansionism on the South China Sea.
Thats why the bases for U.S. troops are being reoccupied.
Best strategy for peace in Philippines is balancing between the 2 powers.. Is difficult but doable. If cannot balance, then conflict arises.
Lez get it on.
China: Of course we own the moon as we have records of its use dating back over 4,000 years.
😢
LOL. Good one! 👍
You're so to the point.
hahahahah.. 9 dash imaginary line since blah blah blah dynasty 💩
The clark and subic on the video is nowhere near on where they're actually are🤣🤣🤣
It’s alright. So that the CCP will not target with their missiles, but then agaun, civilian areas may be affected 🤷♂️
Almost 80Yrs of Defense Treaty. 😮
You know what's gonna be a birthday news to me? When winnie da pooh life expired
Yes we're obligated and will be on the ground with you. I noticed they didn't mention our Troops in South Korea. We're staged for a fight. God Willing, it doesn't happen, but if it does, we're in it with you, Philippine Islands. Just as I'll be there with my Mahal Ko. You're not alone...
I wonder what the chinese citizens think about their government’s actions
Everything is censored there I guess 🤷♀️
Their internet or social medias there are controlled by their government so they probably can talk about their grievances (if there is) against their govt in open but hash talks.
I think the Chinese people are unaware of what their gov't is doing. For one thing news is also controlled in China. Journalists are punished when they write something negative about their gov't.
The US has to protect it's territory
Please make a video
About the Philippines beating China during the Korean war, thank you goodluck to your channel
Bobo
Well, you did no research. Clark and Subic are on Luzon. How did you mess that up so badly. Palawan and Cebu? Wtf.
@03:45
AD ERRATUM Correction:
BOTH Clark & Subic ARE LOCATED Within the Luzon Island, respectively- with Clark Airbase/ Clark Airfield & New Clark Global City located in Bamban, Tarlac & Pampanga Province- NOT Eastern Visayas, while Subic Bay Freeport City is located at Zambales Province- NOT Palawan; all of which are part of Central Luzon, respectively.
I don't think they have to but it would be fun to watch.
The fleet there is probably for immediate action if they can find any reason. It's a trap
Communists being imperialistic is an oxymoron
it only proves that china isn't communist, it just wears that cloak to pretend to be for the people.
china isnt being imperalist taiwan is rightfully theirs
and russia and ukriane have had long birder disputes
Taiwan seems to disagree
@@Kitt_the_Katt I am not in favor of communist china i'm arguing against it
During and After 9/11 the US declared its MDA to The Philippines to help against their fight in the Iraq War.
CHINA claims "9 DASH IMAGINARY LINE" but USA and Philippines said: NOPE 💪🏼🇵🇭🇺🇲
0:16 By recently, you mean like months ago, right?
Stop calling it the south China Sea.
West Philippines sea,the correct one
"BPS" Sierra Madre? 🤔 Hmm Well since I was a kid we called it "BRP" Sierra Madre... Hmm 🤔
Now and recently in the past weeks Chinese ships are not only blocking PH ship but also ramming it or water canon it.
The big Question is: Why can't China depart from the Ph EEZ? China's idea of owning whole Ocean is still of the dark ages.
0:43 should be BRP, not BPS. It's intentionally grounded there to serve as an outpost
the clark airbase is in the wrong location same goes to subic bay naval base.
love the content but adds are getting a bit much on these vids
I don't think the content creator is responsible for the ads that appeared in this video?
The voice is the same u just tried to changed ur voice alittle
That wasn’t subic bay, thats was Palawan lol 3:44
@@mumenraidaa I noticed that too. If you’ve been there, or you know the Philippines, it’s like a map showing Edwards Air Force Base in Hawaii or something.
@mumenraidaa Accuracy and facts DO matter. The content creator is positioning himself as a subject matter expert. If not, then why would anyone watch, and trust in, his videos?
@@mumenraidaalook man it was a simple error I pointed out but if you want to get technical you better plot the mapping correctly as it makes a huge difference. I’m not the one taking it extra seriously like you lol. I love military strategy though and that kind of stuff matters.
Several decades ago, the US had only 2 military bases in the country at present has 12 US military bases with other military bases of Japan, South Korea, Canada and Australia all located in the Philippines. The Philippines is now a porcupine military base.
You used Palawan instead of subic in one of your maps
That is a very accurate thumbnail of what happens when the US takes serious action.
It’s the equivalent to a serious punch by saitama 😂😂 (forgot the spelling)
Does anyone think Trump or MAGA cares about diplomatic norm or treaties signed in 1951?
Trump's Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was the first US official since 1951 to commit that the MDT applied to any Philippine ship or aircraft, public or private, that would be attacked.
The Philippines may be independent from the USA, but they are still part of the American family.
It's called West Philippines sea in my country. The sea which is part of the Philippines EEZ.
Subic Bay is not in Palawan. It is in Zambales
id say its pretty close now. i used to work in a dock building ships for china in subic. china's ships been there since 2012 and as of 2024 their numbers increased significantly. also there was a filipino fisherman that got shot i think back in 2012 i dont remember when but it happened and "chinese fishermen" did it, or so they say. and yes lots of jets and heli been patroling since the start of this year, so i guess its either this year or next year there's gon be war or just skirmish since china is just desperate to assert power. if they dont they will collapse in a few years and they know it
3:50 those Pinned locations are wrong.
the pins for the bases are inaccurate
