This manga NEEDS to have an anime , i personally like vigilante, and i would like it to be an anime series.
It really deserves one at this point, Horikoshi himself has actually made it Canon now, so there’s no reason why it shouldn’t get one

I also like the nice little parallel to the actual My Hero Academia story: a master with a quirk and a quirkless student vs quirkless master and a student with a quirk
I think Vigilantes can be adapted pretty nicely into a 12 episode anime covering the first major arc. If Bones ever want to extend the break between seasons, I would love to see a Vigilante anime because it is pretty darker and improves upon Horikoshi's worldbuilding. Who knows, in time we may even have a My Hero cinematic universe.
That would be awesome! Vigilantes definitely deserves to be animated someday.

@@ShonenVR Yeah, noooo....Just the first 10 chapters Pop Step is nearly always raped and Knuckleduster is light alcoholism and everything is happening in alley, what we get in original series? The world best hero who is everything what is good and all fight expect Bakugou escape is happening in a nice big places and what happened with girls? Nothing.
But this is just my opinion.

Actually, it is said in the Manga that pop step has an OK singing voice at best and the reason she is so popular is actually because she just has a real talent for working a crowd.

@@alexart1551 pop step is 16, the crawler is 19 and knuckleduster is somewhere between his mid to late 30s. Even though pop has a crush on the crawler, he doesn't seem to notice and see's her as a friend. It might go somewhere when she is old enough but we'll see.

I can’t begin to describe how much I fucking love this manga. The best part about it is the protagonist is a true underdog. He was born with a bad quirk and through training and creativity he tries his best to helps while Deku got an op quirk. And you have the wannabe Batman too loo
Not quite true, he was born with a pretty strong Quirk that was kinda crippled by his over bearing mother. As a baby he could fly and as the manga goes on we see that his quirk is strong as well as versitile, it's just between his mother and not getting into UA it is badly under developed.
@@MWhaleK I think thats the thing I like the most about him to be honest, it makes you wonder just how many amazing quirks go undeveloped due to the society they live in, i mean the laws are great for society as a whole but to the individual it really is a detriment...

Not necessarily, she needs to activate her Quirk to fall slowly.
There's a difference between her jumping off a tall building and her being pushed / thrown / etc. off a tall building.
死野子遊助 i didn’t know that her quirk worked like that. however what you’re saying may be true, bc there actually was this chapter were she fell off a building, however koichi tried to save her but she used him as platform to activate her quirk instead lmao.

Already like knuckle duster honestly if deku didn't get one for all then I could have seen him becoming something like this
People always assume if he didn't get one for all he'd become a villain, but he'd more likely become a vigilante
He is old of he wasn't old he's getting one for all
yeah a lot of popel say if he didn't become a hero he will become a villian but I see his Personality and character will not end up as person how hurt People and he say he want to save popel no matter what ( become vigilante will breaks the rules but I don't think Izuku will care about breaking a rule to save someone live) so he will be perfect to a vigilante
This is definitely a manga that can use more notice, even though it’s main series is one of the most popular mangas in the world! It’s a fun spinoff of the original series set years before the main series starts and it includes many guest appearances from the regular series, such as EraserHead, Midnight, and Fat Gum. One of the best guests happens to be Iida’s big brother, Ingenium, being the successful hero his little brother always praised him to be! I always look forward to this manga every other Saturday on Vic’s website, and I’m glad to see more people get involved with this series!
Horikoshi know this Vigilante Hero Spin0Off of his story MHA, but he don't want that Spin-off become canon because he did not make it i guess. MHA Story is so small cause he only focus on School Theme rather than the World itself
He even barely mention other heroes from other countries & only focus Japan
@@HapPawhere well looking at all events happening it is mostly canon. Also I hope there is a oneshot or a short spinoff of the medieval version of MHA based on the ending of season 2
I picked up the first 2 volumes and just recently finished reading the first, and if you’re a fan of my hero academia, this is a must read. I really hope this gets popular enough to get its own anime.

Yes! I love this show, and greatly apreciated the author stating it was "Horikoshi approaved" as canon
I'd love to see more about this, and maybe some talk about the characters that overlap in both series
I really hope in the future we find out that Koichi was able to become a pro hero. I really think that his quirk has so much untapped potential that we are just now starting to see. I mean right now I can see him as strong as some of the side characters in Class A and B.
@@jeremycole2164 I siply cannot imagine both authors not wrapping the story by revealing the as responsible adults in the main series in th end, with maybe one of them dying tragically as a true hero. God I hope Knuckle Duster can live a happy life with his girl.

We really need an anime adaptation Illegals is very interesting and I like the focus on a less combat or heavy power related world eg in Boku no Hero a super dangerous villain would be like Nomu or Muscular but in Illegals it’s much smaller in scale
For me, I really enjoy the character interactions. It's different from MHA because they aren't in school or anything, so the dynamic is between Hero time and down time, instead of Hero Time, School Time, and Down time.
I'd say Aizawa is the closest to Batman.

Dude these characters are so great, Especially knuckle duster. I really hope they get incorporated into the main manga somehow.
Would be amazing to see since were getting to the final battle.
By all means, please continue diving into this series. It's a great spin-off that does a lot to expand on the MHA-verse and characters in the main series, so there's a ton of material to draw from. Heck, as you point out toward the end, you could probably make a whole video just on Koichi's quirk and how it develops as the series progresses.

I don't recall any mention of the vigilantes in the main manga. Could it be that the vigilanties died during that time gap between the two mangas?
These vigilantes aren't mentioned, but vigilantes as a whole are. Essentially, in the beginning there were vigilantes, but once being a hero was an official, regulated job, then they either became heroes, quit or were arrested. Something like 7 out of the 250 of them, or whatever the statistics were, transferred to the hero gig. Being a vigilante was never legal, but people crack down on it much more now that there's a legal alternative, and these vigilantes are around just a few years before the events of BNHA proper.
I'm also pretty sure that this offshoot would have a happy ending where at least the Crawler and Popstep survive, because if it was too dark then I have a feeling they would be featured in the main series to show the effect of the job or whatever. I don't know, I see an opportunity and I doubt Horikoshi would pass up on it.

Honestly, I prefer vigilantes more than the main storyline. Koichi is very relatable to me, and literally everyone in the manga as equal amount of screentime. The villians in the manga look like actual normal people, which really fits in the theme of vigilantes.

KnuckleDuster is actually pretty strong, so strong in fact that EraserHead thought he had some kind of Strength Quirk
