The most remarkable thing about this game from today's perspective is its goal: it wants to entertain you. It doesn't want to keep you playing longer than you have fun with it, it doesn't want your money, it doesn't want to establish a brand. It's like someone just wanted to tell a gigantic, hilarious, crazy, interactive joke and you can't help but laugh.

@Michael F Don't forget the scene before that one: "SPEAK UP PLEASE! I AM A LITTLE HARD OF HEARING!" "We have demands for the King." "LAMAZE CLASSES FOR THE KING!?" "No! Demands for the King!" "ALL RIGHT! TELL THEM TO ME AND I WILL RELAY THEM TO THE KING!" Demand: We want to talk with him. What was relayed to the King: THEY WANT TO WALK WITH YOU! Demand: We have his son. Relayed: THEY HAVE LOADS OF GUNS! Demand: Tell him we want Lily back. Relayed: THEY SAY THEY WANT THEIR WILLIES BACK! Demand: Also, we want some yummy food and lodging. Relayed: THEY ALSO REQUESTED SOME BLOODY LEWD ROGERING!
Its a shame that this brand of humor would probably be labelled many negative things by some people nowadays, rather than seeing it for what its meant to do: Just make you laugh and have a good time.
Ah The Elder God from the Legacy of Kain games. I miss him. Such a great voice actor. He was the perfect balance of old man, raggedy voice and sirly grace. He will be missed...
I don't think he did FO: New Vegas, the only FO games I could find him doing were Fallout: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game & Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel
Their best game is Giants: Citizen Kabuto. It plays a lot like Armed and Dangerous, same style of comedy, but it's an incredibly ambitious game that combines TPS, base building, racing and giant monster brawling. It even had a multiplayer mode where you build bases and try to nuke eachother's base.
Ill never forget the cutscene where the dude relays your words to the king or something, but he's hard of hearing and says everything completely wrong, shit had me in tears
same devs that made Giant Citizen Kabuto. Great game. Sad because back in the early 2000s these type of comedy games never sold. people just didn't like them unlike today when they might sell more.
I remember wanting this game so bad. Got it as a Xmas present. I was so excited. Little did my parents or me know about hardware requirements lol I cried so much. Years later when I was a teen I found a copy and finally play. Such an amazing game.
I was supposed to be doing college assignment, but I had to watch this AS SOON as I saw it. Thanks for covering this game. Gaming needs more quick funny games like this. Zenith is another game I played that has a similar vibe/humor to Armed and Dangerous, so I recommend that one too. it also is short (probably between 9-15 hours from what I hear, but I'm only 7 hours in) and didn't sell well. It unfortunately doesn't have voice acting, but the writing is still very funny and the music makes up for it
Literally just started replaying this game last week and honestly it's definitely underrated. It just reminds me of the time when games were creative and fun. I seriously the 360 era of games was the golden age of gaming.
Now: Oh, is only $10 for a complete copy. HELL I'll get it right now. Two-Six months later: ACTMAN, this game is now over $100, We need someone to reboot/remake this game.
Can't believe I'm seeing this video 2 years late but I remember having the demo for this game as a kid and absolutely loving it and wishing and I had the full thing.
I had this game on a demo disc for the classic xbox. I remember playing ot over and over. We'd beg our dad to get it for us but could never afford it. Its so awesome to have it back and that it is finally getting some kind of representation. Such an underrated hidden gem!
I remember playing this game when it first came out. I rented it because I had nothing else to play at the time and was a broke high school student. The game was fantastic and hilarious. Using random shit like the shark gun made the game have even more insanity. Thanks for sharing this with the world Act Man
I wish I could say I played this a bunch as a kid. My earliest memory is around 2005 when my brother called me down to his bedroom, and showed me the Land Shark Gun. Me being a young lad, I found it fucking hilarious. I remember running around and shooting people wildly, mostly with the shark gun. Only recently, after about 16+ years of wondering "What the hell is the game with the shark gun called" did I rediscover this- honestly- masterpiece. First if all, I'd like to say the aside from the amazing acting, the story is actually well written. In terms of gameplay though? This game was from 2003, and has more destructible environments than most games today. And don't even get me started on the soundtrack. Solid gunplay, hilarious, random humor, it was basically Odd World- with a LOT of guns. And bombs. And sharks, occasionally. LucasArts made a damn masterpiece.
I love this game so much you have no idea. I have it installed on my PC. I replayed it on XBOX several times. I got obsessed trying to track down the people who made it, just to send them a mail and say "thanks for all the laughs." If you have it installed on your computer, you can watch the cinematics in VLC. I do it often, to make me laugh or just cheer me up. Thanks for making this video, and bringing this flawed masterpiece to a wider audience. Fun fact: some of the voice actors were big names in their own right!
Watching this video really made me realize how much your editing skills and video quality have improved over the last 2 years. Keep on making awesome content, bro. It's been a great ride so far and I'm definitely here to stay. 1 million SOON.
Lucas arts really used to make some fire ass games. Made me really excited when I saw Grim Fandango remastered on game pass. Now I wish Armed and Dangerous would follow up
I played halfway through this game, paused it to go watch The Return of the King in theaters, then came home and finished it. This, Halo, Riddick, Munch's Oddysee, and Psychonauts were the best Xbox games IMO. I would nostalgia click videos for any of those lol
Man this brought back some great childhood memories on the classic Xbox. I downloaded it off of gamepass recently and had such a great time playing it again with my fiance lol
Holy F, this game is so far buried in my memory! I've only played this once on a demo disk from an Xbox magazine I had, but the only thing I could remember was that there was some game I played had a weapon to turn everything upside-down and a MF SHARK GUN. Stuck with me forever, and I honestly couldn't remember the name until now!
This made my day. I played this for about an hour with a friendin 2006, who passed away in 2009. I've been trying to remember what it was ever since. All I remembered was the "You are French" part. Seroiusly, Thank you 🙏

@Michael F
Don't forget the scene before that one:
"SPEAK UP PLEASE! I AM A LITTLE HARD OF HEARING!"
"We have demands for the King."
"LAMAZE CLASSES FOR THE KING!?"
"No! Demands for the King!"
"ALL RIGHT! TELL THEM TO ME AND I WILL RELAY THEM TO THE KING!"
Demand: We want to talk with him.
Wait! I never kissed a man before! I CAN DO BETTER

@@axolotl1777 yeah and now that i know the game i won't have it on xbox, but like the other guy said it is 6$ on GOG and 20 reals in Hueland
Its a shame that this brand of humor would probably be labelled many negative things by some people nowadays, rather than seeing it for what its meant to do: Just make you laugh and have a good time.
Finally we are blessed by Act Man's childhood game, I hope this immediately leads to Act Man gaining 1 million subs!
It won't... But it's funnier than any vine video
I remember this. Xplay did a video on it. They hated it. Then G4 tv was shut down. Coincidence?
Oh shit I remember that
i cant believe Tony Jay voiced in this game lol. He's the king's voice.
He's one of my favorite voice actors of all time. RIP Tony :(
Wait from Fallout: New Vegas?
Ah The Elder God from the Legacy of Kain games. I miss him. Such a great voice actor. He was the perfect balance of old man, raggedy voice and sirly grace.
He will be missed...
I don't think he did FO: New Vegas, the only FO games I could find him doing were Fallout: A Post-Nuclear Role-Playing Game & Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel
Legend has it, they made this game as seriously as possible.

This is such a clusterfuck fever dream and I love it
same devs that made Giant Citizen Kabuto. Great game. Sad because back in the early 2000s these type of comedy games never sold. people just didn't like them unlike today when they might sell more.
even conker's bad fur day didn't sell well. I don't get why don't more people bought games like these, they are amazing.
Loved that game. Super funny characters and cutscenes that pulled me through the tough gameplay.
That's why this seems familiar. Loved giant citizen Kabuto, hilarious, fun, interesting.
I remember wanting this game so bad. Got it as a Xmas present. I was so excited. Little did my parents or me know about hardware requirements lol I cried so much. Years later when I was a teen I found a copy and finally play. Such an amazing game.

The Act Man: "Aren't you glad you clicked on this video?
Me: "Yes. Definitely. Absolutely."
I miss Gravity Falls
I was supposed to be doing college assignment,
but I had to watch this AS SOON as I saw it. Thanks for covering this game.
Gaming needs more quick funny games like this.
Zenith is another game I played that has a similar vibe/humor to Armed and Dangerous,
so I recommend that one too. it also is short (probably between 9-15 hours from what I hear, but I'm only 7 hours in)
and didn't sell well. It unfortunately doesn't have voice acting, but the writing is still very funny and the music makes up for it
Literally just started replaying this game last week and honestly it's definitely underrated. It just reminds me of the time when games were creative and fun.
I seriously the 360 era of games was the golden age of gaming.
This is a certified hood classic
Damn son where'd ya find this?

“BEST GRAPHICS EVER”

i think it just makes the game even more funny. The horrible graphics combined with the primitive physics is amazing
This looks like the Adult Swim show "Xavier: Renegade Angel".
Powers are for the weak
Which is the greatest show of all time
Yess
My name is Xavier
this game and xavier did come out two years apart.
I can only imagine if a company remastered this game! 😂
I love this game so much you have no idea.
I have it installed on my PC.
I replayed it on XBOX several times.
I got obsessed trying to track down the people who made it, just to send them a mail and say "thanks for all the laughs."
If you have it installed on your computer, you can watch the cinematics in VLC.

So, baiscly, what happens when the dev team is on an acid trip.
This made my day.
I played this for about an hour with a friendin 2006, who passed away in 2009.
I've been trying to remember what it was ever since. All I remembered was the "You are French" part.
Seroiusly, Thank you 🙏
