I asked how we can help get this done. I'm not sure at this time if it is the Wand Company or certain retailers we want to pressure for this. I will update you when I know more. Stay Safe!
A real geiger counter might be possible, but only if you can find a way to integrate the detector in such a way that it doesn't mess with the actual surface itself. It would need to be beneath some really thin, preferably very, very light and non-dense material in order to pick up actual ambient radiation - or perhaps some sort of mesh. Not sure if there's space in the prop for that. The dial might be more of an issue though, I'm not sure if any geigers are still made with a physical needle, most modern ones just have a digital display for more accuracy. That would probably need some custom programming.

The Pip-boy is powered by nuclear energy. But you could solar power it using a Solar Power Bank. It would connect to this build by USB. The smallest nuclear options are the SMRs, which would still be too big for the Pip-Boy. Thanks for the recommendation.
@@sammytimgaming2947 The sound is coming from the top module. It is possible to put 2 of those speakers in there. Right now, it's in the center. Due to the small area, it's questionable that stereo sound would be an improvement. The right speaker is for the radio only and is a part of that module. Right now, both speakers can work at the same time period.
Just wanted to thank you and let you know I had been planning to try and make similar mods to my own Pip-Boy 2000 as soon as I get one, I had a few slightly different options in mind for Screens and or speakers, and I plan to be designing and building my own Working Geiger counter mod that I plan to make compatible with the app if Bethesda doesn't release an official one. I will probably follow this video to some extent as a sort of reference/tutorial but don't worry I will be following many standard safety precautions including wearing Saftyglasses, fireproof gloves, and an acid/fire resistant smock. I also plan of replacing some of the standard plastic Pip-Boy 2000 parts with machined metal ones to customize the durability and design of My Pip-Boy. This is the first of your videos I've ever seen and its earned you a sub. :)
Sounds awesome. I will say, this build is really heavy on your wrist. It also feels like it is made of real metal. So, if you plan on wearing it be aware of weight. Make sure you share your finished product. Would love to see it.

Meanwhile i´m still waiting for someone to make a proper, working, fully functional Pip Boy with working Geiger Counter, Tape-deck and Radio, rather than a phone built into a prop.

What da dog doin?
You caught it!
Me, an 11 year old fallout addict.
*Sad radroach noises*
I can't do this. 😭
You can do anything you put your mind to.
Your Geek Fix he can’t get on the moon so stfu
Flame ok you meanie
@@clutchfordays6922 there's no reason for you to be negative about it
@@YourGeekFix No he can't, the ad says you need a degree in theoretical nuclear physics lol
Is it possible to order a ready to build in Screen kit from you?
Unfortunately not. I think passport screen by itself and the passport will be easier than you think if you avoid our mistakes.
@Luciano Murray-Velloza i already got the screen from Bethesda but i asked here because i want a real screen for my Pip Boy.
The fact that you can use it as the pip boy for the game is so cool it's crazy awesome that you made an actual pip boy
Thank you PandaMan. That means a lot for you to say that. You are awesome!
This is How microsft Make there own Microsoft version of apple watch
This is more functional.
Bruh you stole that from a video I just watched today. Don't be that person. Stop stealing jokes from other videos. Thanks
How heavy is it?
Pretty heavy for my arm, but I have not weighed it
No way this guy is still replying to comments after 4 years
Probably so...
That is phenomenal!!! I know at least 3 people who would buy that right now, regardless of price! I love that it connects with the game directly! Absolutely awesome stuff!
I think the Wand Company needs to know that.
What is name of that fallout app
The fallout assistant
Wow this man replying to everything!
But he hasn't pinned a comment yet, perhaps if I give him a cookie he will?
🍪
Not really familiar with pinning comments. Where, how, and why?
We forgot some solar panel
The Pip-boy is powered by nuclear energy. But you could solar power it using a Solar Power Bank. It would connect to this build by USB. The smallest nuclear options are the SMRs, which would still be too big for the Pip-Boy. Thanks for the recommendation.
Your Geek Fix how about longer range radio/stereo?
Are you referring to the radio or the screen area? The screen actually can use longer band transmission, using an app. Could use ham app.
Your Geek Fix no wait we’re is the sound coming out of? Can you add small external speakers on both sides of the pip boy?
They still haven't come out with the "rad detector"
I wrote them to ask about the ETA and they responded, "We don't have any solid plans or release dates just yet for the sensor add-on. We're hoping for release sometime (2020). Sorry I can't give much more information at this time. We're super excited for it." So am I, but waiting still.
@@YourGeekFix At least they answered you. I tried to ask and it was like trying to get help from UA-cam.
Meanwhile i´m still waiting for someone to make a proper, working, fully functional Pip Boy with working Geiger Counter, Tape-deck and Radio, rather than a phone built into a prop.
This now has the tapedeck with conductive data transfer, but glossed over in the video.
Please don't make this your last upload!
New video is being posted this week.
So cool! This would be amazing in a Fallout mixed reality VR system!
True!

I would use it to play Minecraft
That should work.
That was a bit late....
why does this video have less views?
Good question
Yess
I don't know
I love the way the radio module was wrapped in a Boston Bugle. Such good attention to detail.
I framed it
@@YourGeekFix well you deserve a few nice souvenirs after all the money you've put into this project! 👍

Right. I think.
Man, this is the BEST Fallout 76 pip boy mod I have ever seen!
Thanks Райдер
. I appreciate that.
Sad to see such genius go into recreating the disgustingly inferior Bethesda canon.
Y'all good. The kit is technically the wand company and they are nice.
I feel like this is alex ernst when he grows up and becomes a scientist
I'll take that as a compliment.
Your Geek Fix it is kind of a compliment
How much I dont have the cash thoe
Depends on the upgrades
There was this subtle nervous energy in this video despite your obvious professionalism and DIY know-how. It's like you were simultaneously determined and slightly afraid of the project. Then again, I don't do a lot of project kits, so I guess putting together an expensive kit while making up new pieces to fit in it is definitely an undertaking. I typically stick to those botany lego kits, haha.
Did s you see part 3? Explained in that.
