Reviewing and Discussing the Movie RRR (RISE ROAR REVOLT) Streaming on NETFLIX For this months Foreign Friday Review -During the British era, Malli, a small tribal girl, is taken away by British governor Scott Buxton and his wife Catherine against the wishes of her mother. Rama Raju is an Indian cop who works for the British army; for him duty comes first, and he is very ruthless to revolutionary Indians but is never given his due by British government. The British government find that a tribal Komaram Bheem, who considers Malli his sister, has started his search for her and could be an obstacle for the British army. The governor and his wife announce a special post for any officer who can bring Bheem to them. Rama Raju decides to take the matters into his own hands and promises the government to bring him in dead or alive. Bheem by now has reached he city in search of Malli and pretends to be a mechanic, Akhtar. During a train accident on a lake he and Rama Raju risk their lives and save a kid and become best of friends. But each man will clash with the other and will thirst for each other's blood in order to complete their mission

This film is beyond awesome. Modern day Hollywood could learn a lot from films like this when you focus on storytelling and character development without having the need to insult your audience with a message.

You got the essence of the movie absolutely right..👍👍. It shows that the content emotion can drive everybody irrespective of the geography and also establishes confidence that dire ctor did the movie for indian sensibilities and it has organically left huge positive impact on western audience too and also it was great to listen from director that he would continue do the film in his own style but also felt happy western audience liked it very much..

The first telugu language movie was released in 1933.. it's pretty old film industry.. even my neighbouring state tamil language had their first movie in the 1920's... India has a long history of movie making which are locally consumed.. this is the first time telugu movie crossed over to other countries..
Regarding when Bheem saves Raju from the poison
What I saw is Raju trying to prevent Bheem from going to his mission but not because he wanted to arrest him, he probably just thought all the soldiers in the event were going to kill him because, remember that Raju didn't know that Bheem had that elaborated plan
Also, after Bheem left, Raju had a painful breakdown because he didn't want to betray Bheem but not even his own life was superior to that purpose
