I loved hearing Ken eating while you harnessed Baron up. I don't know why, but I've always loved hearing horses chewing!😘 Now that was good backing into the barn that Baron and Bill did!!! William sure did an excellent job stacking firewood in your shed...got a glimpse as you drove the horses by! Good work William!!!👍
Sometimes the farm just does a great job speaking for itself ☺️, not that I don't like hearing all you and Brenda have to tell us! Great filming. The rhythm of animals and chores is so peaceful!
We loved the quiet video and all the cool camera angles. We love the sounds of the barn, horses eating, tack jingling, grooming noises. Very peaceful. But i really do like hearing..."Good morning, everbody." In Jim's reassuring voice.
...ha...we laughed when you came back so quickly ...this was good to see Baron and Bill working good together..I hope all your young horses will be às patient as Ken and Bill have...so cool😊
Gotta say that was one of the things I always enjoyed was hearing the horses eating when we were either harnessing them up in the morning or at the end of the day unharnessing them when I was helping my grandpa.
It makes me so happy to see you genuinely caring for your work horses. So many don't have owners that care about their well-being, only that they can do the work. I wish all owners were like you ❤
Hard work just getting the horses ready to work. WOW ! My hat off to you guys. Beautiful horses, well trained. I enjoy watching your videos because I LOVE horses and it brings me closer to them. THANKS
Apart from all the extraneous farm noises, that was an interesting video, Jim. I loved the sounds of horses chewing, the rattles and clangs of farm equipment and the occasional flatulence sounds from the horses !! The only human sounds heard were Jim's commands to the horses !! A very different, but interesting, all the same !! Thanks Jim, great job !!
This was a wonderful "day in the life" video with no talking. Just getting chores done. Takes me back to my Grampa's farm with other animals running to get out of the way. Cats and chickens, etc. Bleating of a nanny goat would be a fun addition. 😁❤
My mare is half Belgian Draft. Her other half thoroughbred. I believe it's her Belgian half that makes her so wonderful. Just lovely horses all around.
I enjoyed the barn sounds and riding with Bill. No talking. Just silence and it's a nice change! Thank you for that! I'm sure it's easy and gives your voice a rest.
Jim and Brenda your barn roof looks great lots of hours spent working on it. The horses 🐎 look 👀 amazing with their harness on. Two hard working people. ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I saw that video. That was very impressive. I was thinking 2 teams, one team in front of the other like the beer wagons hitch them together? Would be cool to see/learn how that all hooked together?
Possibly the shortest video that you have produced. Yet, one of the most informative and interesting video for the beginner viewer and also for the most advanced viewer. Excellent excellent excellent. So therefore, video length isn't important. It is the content. I loved this video. I am advanced but I saw things from a different perspective and I learned more. Dang nice video. 👍
I just love to see Baron, he’s so beautiful and he’s such a nice horse and learns very fast. I bet they learn a lot just by being on a team together. I taught my grandson that when you walk into a barn you take a big sniff and say cow poop smells good, have fun spreading manure. Suzanne from Maine
Just a few lines to say hello from Alabama l worked my horses this weekend sowing clover for cover crop you can't get much done working a full time job you have to play catch up on the weekend what you don't get done in the evening
I like the repair to the barn wall to the left of the main horse entry, looks great! Really excellent. Nice workmanship. Thank you.. (for the video) :-) (I checked the comments, we're covered,, ah ha...) Hello to All.
Baron seemed to be a bit worked up before being, well... worked up. Maybe he just had a lot of pent up energy? He's getting better and better, tho. He and Bill are turning out to be a really good team. I love the tranquility of this video with no talking, but I think I prefer Jim's talking/explaining and Brenda's commentary. But I understand that y'all get busy and can't always take the time it requires. By the way, that was a pretty steamy load of 💩. 😉 Love you guys! Keep it up! 🤩😊
Long time no see ..Jim I'm been watching great family my fiance is in another country yet I'm in the USA homestead we are planning I just turned 64. Sept 9 2023. . Are all the horses getting along well. ? Have a good day . Family
I know this makes me a freak but I loved helping my godfather with manure spreading using his Belgian team. Barns mean safety, so a barn smell (aka manure-y) means I'm safe. Not that I want an air freshener out of it or anything LOL
Jim, love your content as usual. The horses look amazing, but a tiny thing really. I would love you to drop the side check rein and make it a little longer for all the suffolks. Baron was happy until you put up the side check and it seems as if its pulling his head up higher than his natural headset wants to be. He immediately starts fighting the bit, trying to put his tongue over and messing about. He looks uncomfortable. I think the colts do the same. In the uk side checks are loose for show or not used atall. We would use them on a figit purely to stop them dropping the head and getting caught on his pole or his pals harness, but it would still be loose with the horse at rest. Just a though. The Suffolk horse society in the uk might also be interested in a sperm donation. Not sure of their criteria for inclusion but the breed is critically endangered here and your US suffolks seem very useful and more compact than our ones.
Ich fand, Baron sah aus, als hätte er heute gar keine Lust zur Arbeit. Als wollte er protestieren, haha. Stand auch nicht still, bis Bill kam. Vielleicht kommt jetzt die Pubertät, Hengstverhalten? Keine Ahnung.
William did a fantastic job stacking the wood. Curiosity..do the horses have buckets of water in their stall? If not do they just not require a lot of water? When hanging on the reins, are you holding them back a bit? I'm curious how much you have to hold them back or is it to keep them together? Just love watching your family.
No, he doesn't have buckets in their stall. He takes them or lets them go to the water trough a couple times a day, or any time they walk past it. Horses don't need a LOT of water, but they do need some, so he tries to ensure they stay hydrated. If there were buckets in the stall, they wouldn't necessarily drink more, but they would make a mess of it, waste feed, get hay in it, etc, and it'd just be extra work for Jim and Brenda instead of benefitting the horses.
@@JChaos1120Less mess, no spills, less work, and you can always know for sure that they've had a drink. They drink when its offered, learn to do that. He takes water when he trucks out logging.
Kids now a days don’t want to work hard. Farming is a true art that unfortunately is slowly diminishing. Your farm is beautiful. And so are your horses. Thanks for sharing a little piece of your life with us. 😀
I came back to ask,,,(you must realize I am very new at horse stuff) Why can't you have a stallion on the farm for very long? Are they dangerous or something? Or are they just too haughty or something?
That first horse wasn’t to happy to get harnessed up. Look at his ears. Maybe a gentler touch would help. Dude seemed kinda rough the way he was throwing that hardware on him.

Yes, he is doing a great job
I have always loved hearing horses and pigs eating myself. Especially when they’re eating corn.
Love the “no talk video”!!! Less is more. Hey from Kentucky!!!
Thanks for the input
Thank you for the different video 😊 I really enjoy all the sounds of the barn and the horses munching while you groom and get them ready 💜🙏 Take care
Thanks for your input
Chickens , cats and the sound of a chomping Ken ! Real farm stuff, well done. Have a great week.
Yes “no talk” that’s the way we liked it! just to watch the horses!

Finally a video without words just watching the horses that’s my kind of video don’t need all that talk thanks!😊
Those boys were full of energy this morning!
I enjoyed the "no talk " video. Makes me more aware of the other little sounds. (I also enjoy the regular "Talk" vids.)
...ha...we laughed when you came back so quickly ...this was good to see Baron and Bill working good together..I hope all your young horses will be às patient as Ken and Bill have...so cool😊
This video was very soothing to watch, listening to Ken chomp away, the sounds of the horses and the farm. Wonderful start to my day! Thank you!

Great, just natural sounds.
Thanks for showing that! I love watching the horses work, and getting them harnessed up, and everything that is involved with working horses.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Looks much dryer back there, rain gutters doing the job!
It was very noticeable how much better Baron stood while you loaded the second spreader full. Progressing well.

I love it when there is no speaking. I feel like I'm there going along for the ride. I can appreciate what's going on much better.
Hi Jim, great video, great to be with you spreading manure with the horses! Hi to everyone! Jim, Nova Scotia, Canada..
Hello there!
My mare is half Belgian Draft. Her other half thoroughbred. I believe it's her Belgian half that makes her so wonderful. Just lovely horses all around.
Great to be able to hear all the sounds from farm life. Blessings

Jim and Brenda your barn roof looks great lots of hours spent working on it. The horses 🐎 look 👀 amazing with their harness on. Two hard working people. ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Baron is a good looking horse
Congratulations about the nice article in the newest Draft Horse Journal. It's a very nice compendium about what you and your farm stand for.
How well the team stands as the tractor moving about so close. Horse harmony on manure watch.
A picture paints a thousand words! Nice narration! 😊
It's good to see a team work these do.tha to s the best way to farm on a verage farm.
Jim, I have a request. Now that you are getting all these horses trained. Can you do a 4 up hitch? That would be fun for us viewers. PLEASE 😊
maybe sometime, thanks for the suggestion
When Jim moved the huge rock a couple years ago he used 4 horses. Jim is probably hesitant in doing that too often!
Loved the barn sounds.
I saw that video. That was very impressive. I was thinking 2 teams, one team in front of the other like the beer wagons hitch them together? Would be cool to see/learn how that all hooked together?
Could even do six with duke and earl
Enjoyed the video and sounds of the farm! Have a fantastic week!
Brenda nice job brushing out the horses. Jim loved seeing that angle of you hitching the.horses. was a nice relaxing video. Thank you

That cracked me up when you attacked the camera to the harness 😂 9:13
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood..I loved the sounds..lov from south alabama..HEY EVERYBODY.
Great new camera angles

Beautiful team
01:38 is Jim's way of telling Baron "I Love You".......
Jim, nice camera view from your chest I made it feel like being at the reins.
Always satisfying to fling a few loads of the magic duty! 😁
No talk video - Fun.
👍
This quiet video was so relaxing, the barn sounds are so calming.
Bill stood so still while Baron was acting up. Very impressive Bill.
Thank you for sharing.🐴🐴
Baron seems to be much better at standing still. 😊👍👍

Good long cross lines. Often the sign of a good teamster.
Bill stands like ballerina and Barron like a toddler. You can see the maturity difference. They’re so cute anyways
Good heads up, one of a hundred different chores, 🤔👍 I enjoy your videos
Great job 😘👍🏻💕loved the video 😘👍🏻💕
Thank you!
Baron has this cute little hip thing going on 😂😂😂❤❤❤🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
He'd like to be trotting along, tied up in all that lot the best he can do is dance, jog. He seemed very keen and fresh.

Barons feeling a little nippy this morning
Loved the Baron cam!
Maybe I'm strange, but I used to enjoy going out to spread the manure.
barn looks great !!!!!
Jim on a thirty below zero day do you close up all the barn doors and windows and do you heat the barn on extreme cold days?
I know this makes me a freak but I loved helping my godfather with manure spreading using his Belgian team. Barns mean safety, so a barn smell (aka manure-y) means I'm safe. Not that I want an air freshener out of it or anything LOL

May I ask how many days of manure is that accumulated from? Just wondering.
great video
I noticed your smokehouse was in operation. Have you ever done a video to show us how the smokehouse works and what you use it for? I’d be interested.
Looks like baron lost his appetite when Jim put Barons collar on.

So ur getting alot of horses will u sell any of them or keep them all ?
Do you ever use a 3 team hitch to do your farm work?
It appears Baron is almost as big as Bill. Do you think that he will be bigger?
@ 7:14 Baron isn't much smaller than Ken. He's really growing.
I like seeing the cats roaming around and not having a care in the world.
What is the difference in height now between Bill and Baron?
Don't know for sure but over a hand

Do you think cutting Baron after using him for stud ,he will still act like a stallion ?
He will mellow out if the job is a good one. Cut proud is when they don't take enough cord.
Hey man I love the video
Oh I think you have poop in the back of your shirt
I came back to ask,,,(you must realize I am very new at horse stuff) Why can't you have a stallion on the farm for very long? Are they dangerous or something? Or are they just too haughty or something?
Rambunctious and can be dangerous. Stallion disrupts the whole setup, rampant testosterone. Can't just turn them out with the others.
@@louisecassidy5991 thank you Louise..that's what I had finally decided..

❤😊👍
They where eating in the begin of the video . So, Why did not they get a drink of water before the had to work ?
How do you know they didn't. Just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I saw Baron try to take a nip at Bill's neck, that is until you said something and stopped him. 🙄
