- This is another take on a wooden plank tumbler. It’s super short!! If you need more detailed instructions on how I laid the tape, take a look at this video: Wooden plank/barn wood look with inks and tape!
• Wooden plank/barn wood...
I used white electrical tape from Home Depot, chocolate ink from Hobby lobby, and a 20 ounce stainless steel tumbler painted brown.

Love the darker wood look better.. can't wait to see the final look
Love the tumbler and love seeing you post more videos!
Love the type shiplap...I noticed you did not make nail heads... You are a joy to watch. Thank you for all the inspiration. hugs Sheryl 💙🎨💙
oddly enough, I actually put a nail cross decal on it! I never even made the connection until now!🤣
Love all your videos….
Love this, super cute!
I’m gonna try that with white vinyl
That’s pretty cool
Nice take on the shiplap. Thanks for a new idea.
Love watching you ❤ your voice is always so calming.
Love it
I found out the Krylon Varnish spray works really good to keep the coloring for the inks! You just have to seal the Varnish with Modge Podge or acrylic sealer. The epoxy will repel on the varnish ❤️
I am not sure not fyou
Heyyy Jess before I even watch this .. I meant to donate to your 3k run and I totally forgot 😩 My daughter and my grandson came to visit us in Oklahoma- haven’t seen them in 3 years & my grandson is only 4 years old now so I was busy cleaning and putting stuff up & away for a week.. then the week they were here was my baby’s 18th birthday. On the good side I have a lot of videos to catch up on 👏👏👏 .. on the flip side I forgot about everything else I was going to do LOL .. if it’s not too late let me know where .. or maybe I can messenger you a few dollars and you pass it on. Ok sweetie pie, I’ll watch your video now.. I’m sure it’s AMAZING as always!! Thanks ☺️
Yahhh.. that’s great for wood grains. How are you liking the Hobby Lobby inks? Try the Kamar spray to seal it. I used it for many things that I’ve had issues with and it never disappoints. It’s not glossy so it shouldn’t need anything else before epoxy. I don’t seal my alcohol inks 🤔 Usually an overnight drying time works for me. The only time I did spray them with krylon matte clear spray some crazing/cracking lines showed up here & there. Had to put the name & decal over those areas to hide it. I still knew it was there but nobody else noticed the crazing peeking out a bit. Maybe I was a little heavy handed spraying so it saturated the inks idk.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful art pieces.. it’s always a pleasure to watch you create 😁
I appreciate the love and thoughts anyways! I’ll be doing it again next year but starting MUCH sooner on fundraising.
I’m not in love with the HL ink. The brown tends to lean towards pink often.
You did you seal your woodgrain with mod podge? Do you have a tutorial on this? I normally seal mine with clear spray paint but mod podge would be so much better for me.
Hey was wondering what will happen if you don't spray paint the tumbler / cup
Some people are successful at going straight to epoxy. I have never had a successful cup without sealing between.
Beautiful! Did you put a decal,on this one?
Just a simple black nail cross.
Did you leave the tape on
Yes
