Watercolor swirl alcohol ink experiment! I love how it turned out!

I’ve had watercolors on my to-do list for a LOOONG time. And even though this isn’t EXACTLY what I was picturing, it still turned out pretty close and reallllly pretty!

The glitter is a beauty! I got this one at TUMBLERCON. It is Imagination from spittnllama.com/. One of the owners’ tumblers was out and it was gorgeous, so I had to grab this one!
My adorable name tags are from Sparkle monster. I ordered the thinnest option (1/16). They fit perfectly on the bottom of my skinny tumblers with the recessed bottom, but this is how they look on the side when that’s not an option. Here’s her shop: www.etsy.com/shop/SparkleMons...
The inks used are all from Brea Reese. I got them forever ago at Hobby Lobby and Michael’s. Medium Magenta, Lake Blue, and Purple. You can also find them on amazon.

I think most clear sprays have alcohol in them. I’ve tried to seal inks but it always ends with the crazing/cracking. I have seen one or two saying Kamar spray won’t do that. I have it for sealing paint pours that have micas involved ..but haven’t tried it on inks. I just let inks sit overnight and so far that works. To seal flakes I wonder if a tiny dab of Polycrylic or ccdiy Quick Coat would be ok 🤔

Jessica you know I love your work and your art... but please for the love of all things alcohol inks, STOP sealing them!!!! They don't need it. Tried sealing once and this happened... I then and there decided to never seal again. Turned out beautiful!!!!

🤣 every single time I’ve tried skipping g sealing it has turned to complete blur with epoxy. I’m cursed!! 🤣

@@ThePurpleStitch Dang! I've never had that happen. I hate that for you. Do you think its the kind of alcohol ink or brand? I let my inks dry for 12-24 hours too.
