元気一杯の86歳おばあちゃんがやっている食堂に密着しました。
500円の食べ放題ビュッフェです。(小学生は無料です)
安いので毎月７万円程の赤字が出ているそうです。赤字の分はおばあちゃんの年金から支払われているそうです。
しかし、おばあちゃんはみんなが喜んでくれたらそれで良いと考えてこの食堂を続けています。

Since it’s too cheap, it is about 70,000 yen (USD610) in the red every month. She pay the deficit from her retirement money.

テレビで紹介されてから有名になったけど、値段が安ければ心無い人いてもおかしくない。
それでも続けていけたのは本当に周りの人が良かったんだと思う。
この頃にはもう認知症の症状が出ていたとかで、500円の料金すら払わずに出ていくゴミみたいな連中も集っていたそうですよ。
お店の方も半年以上、休業中とのことで、年齢を考えると、おそらくもう再開は難しいでしょう。

My Grandma used to do her best to take care of everyone, whether it be a place to stay, or some food, or some gas money. She took care of countless of us... sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, uncles, and aunts... even our friends. She passed away a good while ago now and this Grandma reminds me of her so much I couldn't help but cry. Watching this Grandma cut the tomatoes, was just like watching my Grandma do it... it could have been my Grandma. God bless her with peace, joy, happiness and long life so she can keep helping others from her heart. Thank you for sharing this with us all. We could learn a lot from her.

Grandma is such an angel. Keeping the food so cheap and even let kids eat for free, all because she just wants people to eat and enjoy her food, at the cost of her own expenses.
