Honestly, I love this! The story arc of Earnest going from a humble express engine, to being proud and cocky, to being humbled again, and then finally having an opportunity to for a new beginning! It’s wonderful! And all thanks to a painting of him in the background…
What a superb episode. Interesting to see how part of the story takes place during 'Off The Rails'. I'm glad to see Earnest have a change of heart and have learnt from the error of his ways. Well done to you for writing these episodes 👏.
Wonderful, that was the best, remarkable and beautiful story of part 4 ever, Earnest is very happy now and so he was on the special train Gordon was supposed to take, he seems very different after rusting away and now he understands that times do change and I think he will change well too, and even though old engines can’t pull trains like young ones, I think they can if they’re mended and restored and that’s exactly what happened with Earnest, he deserves it
A wonderful conclusion to the story of Earnest! It's really nice to see that he survived into preservation, and I especially like how you connected his rediscovery to the special train in "Off the Rails". The grouping of Earnest, Edward and Gordon also has some nice symbolism to it - three distinct eras of express steam, but all three are still in service, and each one still has a role to play.
I like how the image of Earnest goes from an olden look to a new pristine look.

Wow. I love how you incorporated the subplot of Edward taking the special train in Gordon Takes a Dip. Very good attention to detail.

That transition from old timey to modern for the photo made me very happy that Earnest was restored!
That was certainly a very happy ending to a 4 part event
Big fan of Earnest, same with Bloomer, Neil, etc. Hope we get to see more of them in future fandom stories. 😊
That ending is just the most wonderful ending that could ever be given for an old engine like Earnest.
Great job Narrow Gauge! The conclusion to Earnest's stories was the best ^^
An incredible end to this saga 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Excellent story of Earnest (don’t worry I listened to the other chapters).
Now that was a great story to end an already stellar saga! Great work Narrow, glad to see Earnest's future finally secure!
