Weird may not be the right word, but it is a very different and I think amazing design: rear stock loading and magazine, bottom facing action and ejection, as well as take down design. I love the thing. Everyone who tries it shoots it well.
@@Alfalfa61 I'm a huge fan, I had a she'll or 2 go down my sleeve but besides that I've had no problems. It's also holding its value, great investment. Don't shoot remington bullets out of that gun, it deserves better
@@Greenhorn. LOL, only a shell or two?! Keep firing! I got a blister from one hot round, but it made me smile every time I accidentally rubbed the spot. I hope you get a lifetime of enjoyment out of it!
@Sagittariustoo, funny enough, as crappy as thunderbolt is, we’ve found and tried some other brands during this drought that were way worse. Wasn’t sure that was possible, lol.
Let me see you knock off a baked bean tin at 100 yards, I did it nearly sixty years ago with my new FN Browning .22lr. One of my better buys 😀. Ps I seem to recall the ads saying the front sight had a dot made of gold, anyone confirm this? All the best from England.
How is the gun after a few years? That is great accuracy for sights and Thunder bolts 🤯 I might pull the trigger for one of these! Great review guys! ✌🏼😎👍🏼
@Sylvainster30, Thanks! We have loads of fun trying new and old things, and glad to share the fun. I would highly recommend bagging one of these. They shoot so well, and cycle SO FAST! I have taken it out a few times since, and love it more w each trip. I doubt they will ever get truly affordable, but will hold their value and last for generations. Good luck!
Hello my friend. I have a question I desperately need to ask regarding this 22 rifle. Do you answer your viewers questions? I’ll keep check for a reply. Thank you
points and aims so easily. mine are very accurate take down to pack and carry easily. both of mine tend to hang up a lot. maybe they just need a good cleanjng
I still have not been able to shoot it a lot yet, but I have not seen any poor accuracy in the times I've taken it out. I will certainly provide an update if it does.
My SA 22 is probably one of the most accurate.22 out of the box, joy to carry also
@Thomas Carpenter, I wholeheartedly agree! The SA-22 and the BL-22 have become some of my all time favorites!
Why is it Weird.? One of the finest examples of mechanical engineering along with the Jaguar XKE and the Ferrari 250.

Years ago, those were the primary guns used in arcades/shooting galleries. Great rifles, they are. -Gunny T sends
BS on the arcade. Pumps were the weapon of choice .
BS.
@Chuck Truitt, I have really grown to love these. Even w Browning in my back yard, I never paid them much attention. Glad I woke up at some point.
I too have one. My mother had one as well. It's a tack driver...lighting match heads at 25 yds is fun!
I Just bought the same sa 22 with the maple stock. I cant wait to get it, thanks for sharing
Any update on your experience with it?

Gorgeous rifle!
@Roberts Firearms, Thanks, I would have been very happy w a standard blue one. I just lucked into finding this one. Kinda hooked me on maple wood.
I have one, Belgium made, with a curly maple stock, and I wouldn't part with it for the world!
Re the cost, as the old saying goes you will remember the quality long after the price is forgotten.
Cool looking Browning 22.
I wouldn't want Thunderbolt 22 ammo for free!

When locked tight and good target ammo, mine wil shoot 1.5" groups at 50 meters . It was a FN made one. Salut of Belgium.
@Guy Vossen, I think these are capable of great accuracy. I just need more practice w mine.
So cool you guys rock!
