    Didn't know they made them with maple stocks, that's gorgeous!

      Thanks, Robert Underdunk Terwilliger! I am glad to see Browning come out with different variations like this. I like slightly unusual or things not in the mainstream.

    Finally bought this exact one last year. Shoots beautifully and is very well made. No scope yet, but will start looking.

      Will S, Congratulations! Please let me know what you figure out for a scope setup. The receiver rail is pretty short. I hope it stays in your family for generations!

    Just bought one off Gunbroker. I feel the same way as you. At this stage in my life I can afford a $1000 .22 and it will last for generations-- not to mention it will hold it's value or better. I'm a big browning fan, I own several of their shotguns and rifles.

      I got one a couple of months ago and I had some issues with the first round jamming (i'm thinking ammo related) but otherwise it shot great.

    i'm going to buy the Browning but i don't know which ,one i want , the 1 grade or the 2 grade , i love the 2 grade better BUT i hate that Engraving on the metal part. But i love the Engraving on the wood. i wish they just left the metal part alone.to me they ruined a great gun by putting crap on the receiver .

    Take a cloth, add some vegetable oil to it and rub that sticker goop off. Most sticker glues are oil based so all it takes is a little rubbing with that veg oil. Then dish cloth from a sink of dish soap water will clean the rest of the oil off..

    I have a BL-22 and my only complaint is the excessively heavy trigger. They register over 6lbs. Otherwise these rifles are winners.

    • @Alfalfa61
      @Alfalfa61  3 роки тому +1

      @oncall21, I am not really sure how heavy this one is. I know it is not as heavy as a typical 10-22. We probably need to get a trigger pull gauge for our future reviews. BTW, we lucked into a micro-midas version so looking forward to getting some trigger time with it and another reveiw vid. :)

      @@Alfalfa61 great stuff! I measured the weight of pull on the trigger and it’s 6.5lbs. My smith has it now and said he can get it down to around 3lbs.

    Good evening! I just purchase a BL-22 Browning. By mistake I made one dry fire. Should I be worried for damage or just one time is ok? Thank you!

    • @Alfalfa61
      @Alfalfa61  Рік тому

      @julesv. No worries at all. I probably wouldn't do it a ton, but I tend to dry fire at the end of every magazine full, when I find out I have run out of ammo. Congrats and enjoy your new treasure!!

      What a lucky kid! Back then there were tons of 22’s that were much more budget friendly! You are living the dream having an iron that literally will last generations! Thanks for sharing!
