I’m an old guy too Roy and I agree that it’s a classy looking rifle. It’s hard to beat shiny walnut and polished bluing. Turnbull’s color case hardening really sets it off!
Still have my old one brought home from us by my father when he come back home from Alaska in -64. Will go on to my son or daughter. A marvelous gun. And it just one of 4, CZ455 wmr, Remington Speedmaster, Remington 597 wmr, love them 😊🇳🇴
I've always loved the little SA-22. I own a grade I, III and VI. All have little Redfield 3/4" tube 4X RF scopes which seemed to be made for the SA-22. My parents gave me the grade I for a 14th birthday present and I was hooked. The grade III and VI are absolute works of art.
I borrowed an SA 22 during the early 70s. It shot well. My buddy hit a pigeon sized paper target around a hundred yards away. on a downhill area using the iron sights. It fed from the butt stock and was initially disassembled into two parts when it arrived. The rifle was made in Belgium. During that time Miroku was already selling high grade shotguns. I am glad to know that Miroku also made these SA 22s. Norinco also made a clone of the SA 22. I am currently asking around for one that is for sale. Thanks for a great video Editor Roy. It brought back a lot of good memories.
Eduardo, I had one of those Chinese rifles and while it was “adequate” it fell far shot of the real thing. Frankly, I think you’d enjoy having a “real” one much more. The amount you pay now will be long forgetten in the future, while the enjoymemnt of owning a high quality rifle will remain! Roy
@@fmgpubs I. agree with you Ed Roy. Besides. due to the high cost of taxes and licensing of guns out here. I may have a better chance of finding a Browning/Miroku SA 22 rather than the clone. Stores here tend to import more of the expensive FAs since gun owners would rather save up to buy the best rather than settle for a clone. The cost of licensing is the same for both expensive brands and its clones. Depending on one's resources. a person may end up owning a lesser number of FAs but he/she will enjoy the better quality. Thanks Ed Roy!!
Cool gun Roy. I have my late father’s Browning in a hard carrying case. It is a treasure. It’s a wonderful gun, and this one is even nicer. I have to say, every time your phone rang, I stopped the video and checked my phone. So, you got me. Lol. Thanks for sharing.👍
it's pretty elegant too with Leupold scope mount & using a Leupold gloss blued (have to find a used one) 4 power rimfire scope. GREAT granddaughter gun that she can one day inherit!
Is the octagon barrel version you have there still drilled and tapped for the scope mount? I think a small low power prism scope might just make that the king of 22 hunting rifles.
The gun I learned to shoot on. Many years ago. Still have it, a beautiful little rifle. Bought it for 149 bucks in 1978. No idea what it's worth now but I wouldn't sell it anyhow.
I have one of that.. together with a Marlin 39-A and a Remington 550-1 that my Dad bought and l First shot as a Boy 65- years ago 😊. THAT Browning has a vibes of a DEADLY Cobra 🐍 ready to strike anytime!😱 Will leave the Browning to My Grand daughter.. 😊 BEST regards to you Sir, New subscriber here from the FAR EAST 😊😁👍
Try putting your hand forward to the front of the forearm and apply slightly reward pressure. No more hot and groups might tighten up. Make sure you have extremely good vision. 😊
Hello, can the 22WMR cartridge be fired with this SA-22LR Semi-Auto Rimfire Rifles? If I put the caliber 22WMR in the sa22LR auto rimfire belgium long rifle tank and fire it, is it dangerous? Please help, thanks
That’s the thing, they are easy to shoot and are plenty accurate for what they are for. I had a scoped one (a cased set from Browning) some years ago and while you could shoot a smaller group, it made the gun unhandy to tote. Roy
@@bigGeo5460 I have a 34 year old daughter and recall her small hands and arms from when she was a little girl. No offense intended and it’s ashamed one can’t talk about something as simple as that without garnering some hysteria. Ahem … Roy
How in the hell can you and @bigg9374 think of such a sick thing??? If thats all you garnered from this wonderful video, both of your IP addresses maybe should be tracked. These rifles are one of the best squirrel rifles to enjoy in the woods as can be had!
$900 for a squirrel rifle sure

It’s so pretty I just keep it leaning against my desk in my office! Roy
This does bring me back to 'those days'. I wish I still had my Browning firearms.
They are such nice little rifles! Roy
That is a beautiful rifle. Great review.
Thanks Eigerman. Hard to mess up a review with a pretty rifle like that though! Roy
Beautiful rifle and nice little dose of history. JMB was The Man.
Boy howdy about JMB. Roy
JMB was definitely THE MAN! And maybe even an understatement! 👍👊
Congratulations, you Published the safety rules 100% accurately!!
Jeff would be proud...
Thanks Barry. Now ... if only people would read 'em, eh? Roy
Roy never fails to deliver
Thanks Ben. It’s hard mess up when you have a pretty rifle like this! Roy

I know what you mean about that bell. Turns out it's the little ding when the "Like" icon pops up in the video. Who knew? Roy
Okay Roy! It’s like you’re family now lol! We both said Fancy at the exact same moment my late mother would have said! 🤠
I’ve been looking and looking for one of these to buy here in Missouri and online. No luck at all. Any suggestions Roy?
What a beauty my fav semi just wish they made this style in 17 wsm
Gosh, hadn’t thought of that. I don’t think the action is long enough perhaps? Roy
Very nicely described about Brownng SA 22.
Thanks Doba! Roy

They are ready for scoping but it takes a specific mount from Browning. Roy

Don’t sell it! They go for around $700 or so if it’s a basic model. Roy
Old school cool.
Indeed, a perfect example of how so many things from “back then” were so elegant. Roy

Very dangerous. Plus it likely won't chamber. Roy
Hello, thank you very much for your reply. I hope you are always healthy and happy. Goodbye
I got one from a wholesale FFL cheap because the bluing was worn and it had a broken stock.....$15. $50 to fix stock. Try beating that deal
Did it come with a hard case?
Not this model. I had one (with a scope) coming in a sort of retro-looking suitcase though. Wish I had it now! Roy

Just sent a message asking to be added to the waitlist
You won’t regret it! Roy
No price, must be expensive
😅😅😢
Pretty ain’t they? Roy
When they quit making them in Belgium it's JUNK! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸⚓
Well, actually, no. Have you ever examined one made my Miroku today? These are fine guns. Roy
I have a Miroku, Dad has a Belgian one. There is no discernible difference
"Slender as a little girls wrist" comment really turned me off buddy, made me think of Biden and his perverse way. I'm out of here !!!!!!!
