FYI, you do not need to 'unscrew' the inner magazine tube, 1/4 turn and it is good to pull it out. Also 1/4 turn locks it back in after loading and it doesn't matter which direction you turn it, just turn it 1/4 turn.
I have a Norinco clone of this rifle that I've had since the 1990's, and I'm grateful that you're reminding shooters that this outstanding little Browning-designed rifle is still out there and available. It's a terrific little .22 caliber rifle. Great balance; it points effortlessly--Browning was an amazing firearm designer. Thanks for your video!
Bought one of these used - shot it, was disappointed with the accuracy, then i noticed a small nick in the end of the barrel- recrowned with some lapping compound and a brass acorn nut. Shoots excellent groups now.( paid 200 with an old k4 weaver scope) 👍
Hard to not dry fire on last round. Without last round hold open. Browning says we should not dry fire but unless u count rounds it is imposable . I have not seen any damage from last round dry fire .
I bought a new Browning SA22 last year and the barrel would never stay solidly locked up to the receiver despite a ton of tinkering with the adjustment ring. Lovely gun, but that appears to be a major issue with current made guns.
Same here. I replaced all the internal locking pieces and springs and it did the same thing. I finally put aome blue loctite e between the adjusting ring and the lock down anvil. It has not come loose since... going on 7 years since I did it. The riflle will still take down, but that locking ring isnt gonna move unless I apply heat.
Know you are kidding but Browning saw to that in his invention of the gun. While you shouldn't do it as a practice, the area the firing pin strikes does not peen the chamber - it's set just right so that it strike a round in the chamber but does not go ahed far enough to hit the chamber. John Browning was an absolute genius.
I recently bought a SA-22 and I am now waiting to pick it up. When I assembled the gun at the shop, it felt pretty loose, but I had a bunch of guys waiting in line behind me so I didn't spend much time messing with it at the counter. I'm wondering, can those barrels be attached counterclockwise, which would actually UNSCREW it and make it loose, or is there something to prevent it from spinning counter clockwise? Thinking maybe that's what I did and why it felt loose from the factory. Thanks
The short answer is no. The rifle can't be screwed together or unscrewed per se. The takedown mechanism is a set of interrupted threads. You mate them together and give it a twist to lock the rifle down. If both halves are still loose you can turn the knurled barrel nut to get it just loose enough to assemble.
That means you have good eyes😊he just reminded just have good they shoot😊still a little high at 50 yards should be dead on at a 100 yards . That gun is high at 25 yards as well but the group is one hole! Every body talks about this or that is accurate but we forget that John M Browning already had accuracy figure out in 1912 and produced in 1914 in Germany .
What is a better, a new Made in Japan riffle, or a used Made in Belguin riffle?? I am wanting to buy one , but not sure if there is a major difference between the both.
Having both, I can say they are equal in quality. The Miruku is easier to adjust the bbl when it gets loose, but there is also something about shooting the same style gun made in 1961.
Hello, can the 22WMR cartridge be fired with this SA-22LR Semi-Auto Rimfire Rifles? If I put the caliber 22WMR in the sa22LR auto rimfire belgium long rifle tank and fire it, is it dangerous? Please help, thanks
I have one that has a ground hogs on one side and squirrels on the other side with a gold trigger. How much would it be worth? I can’t find anything on it.
Can't wear one out, I bought one in 72 and all my kids and 2 nephews have killed everything in Arkansas besides a bear, Japan made one have a stronger tube in stock, never seen a Japan one with a cracked stock

I love these little rifles. They're as much a work of art as a firearm.
Those are one of the best little 22 autos ever made.
Even the Japs copy em for paratrooper arisaka
One of the best 22lr rifles EVER produced
@Benjamin Franklinn build quality and craftsmanship
That beautiful rifle was used by my cousin to bring down MANY squirrel back in the 60s. I've loved it''s sexy lines every since Thanks for showing it.

It is an awesome little rifle. I wouldn't mind owning a Norinco version. Around here, I have seen a few Remington copies, but no Norincos.
Awesome little rifle and great to see you again brotha! Wish I was there and hopefully will see you again soon.
Absolutely superbly designed and built. A classic.
Very neat little 22 rifle. Thanks for sharing with us
Very nice looking rifle! My 1885 Low Wall is also a Miroku built. Got to say they do a great job!
Aren't all Browning's now made in Miroku?
I love shooting 22lr. So much fun and cheap.
If you love shooting .22 long rifle ?you will ruin for life if you ever shoot one of those!

I want one of those too. Finally got my dealer looking for one.
Have you found one? Pretty rare to find in stock.
Nice vid... The only rifle to appear in Playboy Magazine held by Playmate Elizabeth Jordan in the May 1968 issue... no nudity in this pic...

That ring is not how you tighten the barrel. There is a coin slot on the butt to tighten the barrel to the receiver.
@@jamesrehak1312 The ring is the only means to tighten the barrel up to the receiver.
OMG!!!! You dry fired the .22!!! It's ruined forever now!!! 😄
That's a neat rifle and looks like its very accurate.

Iv had one since my granddaddy gave me it as my 1st gun when i was 12.

Sweet lil rifle!! Nice!!
Very nice 👍

Nice rifle! Pretty good groups for irons at 50...

No. It will not fit.
Thank you for your reply, happy new year to you, I hope you are happy and healthy brother
Are those still in production? Some are discontinued right?
This is a new one. There are several grades still made. But the 22 Short version left production in 2017

Sounds like an older Belgian-made Browning, which command a premium over Miroku guns like mine.
Contact or buy a Blue Book of Gun Values. Not cheap but every enthusiast should have one. I buy one about every 5 to 8 years.
Good review but pretty sure it’s blowback , not gas operated. Also I’m still waiting for the “outdoors” in “All Outdoors”
Súng ở nước nào vậy bạn
That's a mighty fine looking rifle you have there.
If I may ask, how much does it cost and where did you fined one for purchase ?
Turnbull sells them. They are still in production. Made in Japan now. I want to say since 1999. I bought a used one today. It's my second one.
The less you take it apart the better
Take down u can shoot shorts, longs and other stuff single shot
Not true. They made a short ammo version. It had a lighter bolt. They are rair. The rest were long rifle only.
Can't wear one out, I bought one in 72 and all my kids and 2 nephews have killed everything in Arkansas besides a bear, Japan made one have a stronger tube in stock, never seen a Japan one with a cracked stock
Veryclassy
