- Middlesbrough, in the north-east of England, has an almost unique bridge crossing the River Tees. The bridge is beautiful and an apt symbol for the town of Middlesbrough.

I visited Middlesbrough for the first time this September (to appear in a one-night stand at The Middlesbrough Theatre), and it was an absolute must for me to visit this extraordinary engineering feat next morning before heading back south.
Transporter Bridge i have never seen or heard of a transporter bridge until 4 minutes ago. ... amazing. bridges are truly man's finest engineering feats!
Cool. Nicely done clip, Peter. Now that I've seen my second transporter bridge, I'm even more in love with them. Thanks.
Its a great bridge. Charlie D Havelock North New Zealand. Ex boro boy.
middlesbrough ftw!
Awesome video! It is very well done...
Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge 1320pm 26.10.22 i know sod all about it, the middlesboro bridge. safe to say it looks cool. and is far to elaborate a construction for the town... and there's the oldest pub in middlesboro they burnt down many years ago...
Thanks for the comment. We suggest industrial areas are ugly - they can be - but if you look there is beauty
Great video, cheers.
very good
Thanks for your reply Pete.I'd go for a coupla sherbets with you, and whats more I'll talk about bridges till the cows come home.
Feb 2023. It is a pity tat the bridge inclosed due to safety concerns. That it could well be demolished.
Peter...the next james earl jones
good video, its nice to see, but i wound'nt like to go out for a drink with you
HAVE YOU SEEN I EVEN KNOW ABOUT THE TRANSPORTER BRIDGE IN NEWPORT GWENT SOUTH WALES UK
Does anyone know how much it is to cross the transporter bridge please??
I think I may have to use it to get to my new job...
Nice video, but why not build a normal bridge?
Very nice upload, thanks for that; however there was an error. The construction was started in 1910 and completion and opening took place in 1911. Yes, the bridge is nice to look at and yes the bridge is a symbol of the area but as a symbol of modern Middlesbrough...WTF?? forget it. I think the transporter is an anachronysm.
great bridge but i prefer the transporter bridge in NEWPORT GWENT SOUTH WALES
at least Hull will be under the sea with global warming!
i went on it it was poo
