We have already purchased this fireplace and are getting it installed this week. I am excited because we have a barn home with about 2600 square feet and I think this will be great. My brother does custom cabinets and has about 2 to 3 50 gallon barrels of dry hard wood every week. Do you think I can heat my house on this alone because you can burn 12 hours on a single burn?
You should make sure it’s not kiln dried wood and should be clean of any glues or other finishes. Otherwise you should have no trouble heating your home with this. Burn time is realistically more like 10hr burn time. We have this heater in our and we love it.
Also these “scraps” of hard wood usually burn fast in my parents traditional fireplace but do you think I can have their burn time longer in this fireplace?
Does this fireplace work if the power goes out? E.g. if the blower and other electronics aren’t working, can I still light a fire? Thanks for the informative video!
@@juliajames711 I have the 36 elite and yes you can use it if the electricity goes out but without the blower you won't get much if any heat out of the fireplace. When mine was first installed there was an issue causing the damper on the blower not to open. It prevented any air from circulating through the fireplace and into the house. Without the blower there was hardly any heat output. However, when the blower is working i have no problem heating my 2500 sqft house with just the fireplace

Why not kiln dried wood? And these have no glue in them he separates all the hardwood that is untreated and Unstained.
