I have the stove in my home and the only problem that I have had with it is the popping noise that the stove makes when it's shutting off after it is reached the desired temperature. We have had it checked several times but it still makes this loud popping noise when the flame shuts off. No one has been able to tell me what causes this loud popping noise. I have only had the stove a couple of years so I don't think it should be making this loud popping noise. It is very scary if you are not expecting it to make this loud popping noise. I would love to get this problem fixed so I can enjoy my stove.

It's called an extinction pop. It's normal on many propane stoves. When you stop the flow of propane at shutoff the last bit in the stove is moving slower and is burned as a flashback, causing the pop. My new lopi has done it from day one. Annoying, but not dangerous.

If it has an electric ignition, what happens when the electricity goes out? Can the stove still be lit without electricity?

It has a battery backup to operate the millivolt pilot and ignition. However, the lights and the fan won’t work without mains power.

Your blower won’t work but the stove should still light of the battery bank on the remote system is good.

31,000 btu’s and yes it needs power for the blower but has a battery back up to light the stove during power outages.

Any stove will get hot enough to heat or boil water.

Not a Dutchwest stove with catalytic converter above firebox. It will heat a pot of water only to lukewarm.

If it’s an electronic ignition just make sure your batteries are good and turn it on. If it doesn’t come on right away there may be air in the lines. This will cause it to error out but wait a minute or two and try again. It may take a few times to get it to light. If that doesn’t work call the dealer closest to you for assistance.
