Man! Brad! What an awesome production! If I didn’t knew how hard your work when your shooting I would never believe this is a one man band! Your work is impeccable Brother!
You have a great rig! Very well thought out to be able to overland and rock crawl with all that extra weight. Liked your rig walk around video very much. Engine tacos tonight boys!! Lol.
Thank you Brother, Love these videos., you are inspiring me to get out there. I currently have a 2001 Chevy Tahoe with 320000 miles on her. My son Alex and I enjoy driving this old girl everywhere. During the summer she pulls his boat to the Delaware River. I called you brother because I spent 6 years in US Army signal corp ( old school cell phones LOL ) but I got a carrier out of it, 43 years now in the communication industry. I may have to retire the old girl and move into a Jeep, I've owned two Jeeps so far. Thanks again brother and Thank you and your son for your service to our Country.
Fantastic video as always! When I'm getting down because I just dropped another thousand into my Jeep, I watch one of your videos and it reminds me why I got into it in the first place. Keep up the great work!
Another spektacular video guys! beautiful sceneries and slow pace rock crawling....my jaw dropped pretty hard at the axles and tires on that buggy tho! that thing is gonna be an absolute beast! Cannot wait for the update on it.
Awesome trail hit it with my son end of August. I did get lots of pics and some video, however it was just us. We also did Hells Revenge, Hells gate and Moab rim. I liked Moab rim so much we snuck up and did it again before loading up to leave! Going to plan it again this next August?Sept 2019. Such stunning landscape and endless beauty. Cannot wait to head back! Thanks for another awesome video!
Bad Brad with his rad filming skills of the hills, thrills giving all of us wonderful chills of the trails 'no fail' when all the while including nature at its best and puts his nomenclature of the PIG to test.
I don't know how I missed this episode Brad but a great ride thru Moab last year in August. Spring and Summer 2019 is right around the corner and I'm looking forward to your group adventures.
I'm getting a small club group of overlanders to do Poison Spider this 2023 EJS and watching Brad and Marko doing it is inspiring. Also noted is the 6 cylinder Jeep doesn't sound nearly as good as the V8 rumble of the 392.
Since it appears the Mountain Overland Expo is cancelled this year, we are gearing up to go run a similar trip. Doing some additional Jeep mods now. Coming from east Texas though we are choosing to wheel a northwestern New Mexico trail or two on the way and then pull into Moab via northeast Arizona; after that it'll be off to Ouray. Awesome videos and great footage Brad.
Joes buggy is going to be insane! Cant wait to see that video. Love the gps coordinates and info stamps that you are now placing in your videos very nice touch. Videos are looking top notch great channel.
Love your videos. Quality content, no fluff. I especially enjoy any video that has full size vehicles, as I drive a Ram 2500 set up for off road. Thanks for all your hard work!
TrailRecon we wont have time to run Elephant Hill this year but we for sure are gonna break in the New JL in Colorado and Utah. If the Good Lord’s willing we’ll go back next year with a few mods on the new jeep.
It is real nice having someone local that knows the trails out there. You guys make it look easy! Also, it's nice to have only ONE spotter who also knows the trails. It's a mess when you have 3 or 4 "spotters" all yelling conflicting instructions to the driver at once. One person yelling "Driver" while the person next to them is yelling "passenger" ! I hate that! lol
So much fun to watch! I just got back from Moab yesterday. I wasn't able to run Poison Spider so thank you for an awesome tour of the trail! Your video / editing skills are superb!
Brad, first I'd like to say, thanks for your service to our country, our Navy and our Corps. I am a retired Marine MSgt. and to you I say, Semper Fi! Secondly, my wife and I love your videos. We are looking to do an epic Utah trip in Apr 2020 that will begin in Southern Utah and work up to Moab where we will spend about a week. We live in Colorado and while it is beautiful here, nothing compares to the beauty and wheeling opportunities of Utah. Your videos and commentary are always awesome regardless of where they are done from. Great job! When I retire for the final time in a couple of years, we are looking to do some long term overlanding. Ever consider such a thing?
New subscriber here Shipmate!! GREAT VIDEO!!! You're making me feel like getting one of these rock crawlers😊👍. I just told my wife I'm getting one of those and me and my daughter will go 4 wheeling. Never done it, but it's so inspiring seeing you guys. Thanks for your great videos. Stayed late last night watching your videos. Keept it up Botha!!
Great Moab footage Brad!! Between you and Jason at Autoedit posting on the same day, my big screen is all Jeep tonight up here in Ontario, Canada. Thanks for sharing :-)
TrailRecon , it sure is!! I'm a little biased towards Jason, I'm a MetalCloak guy, so that was nice to see so many MC Jeeps at once. I see a few MC badges with your group too, lol. cheers :-)
did this trail on the dirtbike def a challenging trail did the whole trifecta that day. Def worth doing! i think its def one of the funnest trail in Moab. Would love to take my wife on this trail on the jeep
Poison Spider and Hells Revenge are absolutely awesome and fun trails. Definitely a little tricky but my buddy’s full size stock Tundra crewmax crawled over everything that our group leaders FJ did with 37s.
If you guys ever make it up to Western Montana please let me know, I would love to join you guys on a Jeep run. You know we now have the newest addition to the Jeep Badge of Honor trails up here. Blacktail Wild Bill Trail, in the Flathead National Forest. Its right next to Glacier National Park too!

Studied this video before hitting this trail today. I did it last year in a 2dr JL Sport S, and it has a 2” lift and 33s, and it was tough. This year I’m in a 4de JLU Rubicon, same 33” tires but the standard 1” lift from the factory, and it was tougher. At the 1 mile mark I saw a Park Ranger coming downhill. I asked about trail conditions. He told me the UTVs keep ripping the trails up more and more every year. He was right. The three tough spots I remembered seemed worse than last year. Today was the first time I ever had to stack rocks. I love this JLUR, but I really need to get 37s, a 3-4” lift, and 4.88 gearing. It’s my daily driver, yes. And I do a 7,000 mile tour every year, yes. But dang it I need to keep up with the Jones’!
Brad, what tire are running? What trails in Colorado would you think a stock rubicon could make it thru? I’m having a hard time wanting to put a lift on, just don’t wanna lose the jl ride quality
I'm curious what size lifts and tires you guys use. I'm planning on running some of these trails out west next summer and my '97 ranger is on 6" of lift but only 33" tires, wondering if I need to bump up to 35"
I'm running 34 KO2'S with a 2 inch lift front 1 inch rear on the 15 jku. There plenty of play places out that way still? You guys on are another level vs my setup.
Son and I are fan's of you channel. He has a 2015 Rubicon JKU with 2.5 inch lift, mine is 2012 Rubicon 2 door 4 inch lift. I like the Ham Radio communication also, been one for years. Any of your guys know how to get the noise generated by the digital/led lights out of the radio. Lights were in the jeep when I bought it, think they are Roxim headlights and after market Nilight for the fog lights. Pretty much makes my 2 meter Yaesu 3200 DR and HF Yaesu 857 D radios useless when on. I have used ferrite beads/rf chokes no help. Been looking online but must admit not to hard, most things are about stereo, to loud for my ears stuff. Very Cool to see you Jeeping with your son. My son 47 and I get out together some and dream of the day we get to do the trails you do. His wife wants us to take our Jeeps to Colorado next July for his mothers and mine 50 anniversary, so looking forward to that. Who knows might talk them into going farther. Keep up the good work, great videos.
Nothing better than wheeling with family! I get interference with my CB when my lights are on and I have also been told ferrite beads are the solution... need to give it a try. Cheers!
Thanks Brad: I got motivated and put ferrites on almost everything and pretty much got it mostly cleaned up, haven't checked the HF radio yet. I have a camera , cheap back up camera mounted on my stinger for when you cant see what your fixing to crest over into, and that thing generates a ton of RF noise. Can't wait to see the other videos.
Hi Brad, Love your Vlog. You show the right mix of prep and trail content. Two things that continue to peak my curiosity. 1. I hear of how to improve everything on every kind of Jeep, from super chargers to chrome moly axels and driveshafts. However, I never hear about anything to strengthen or avoid damage to the JK or other Jeep transmissions . Are they indestructible or are they just the strongest link in the chain ? What about clutch issues on Jeeps with stick or cooling issues on automatics ? 2. Could you tactfully address how you deal with the call of nature during extended trail rides ? Please share the equipment and tactics used when dealing with the change in diet, water and temperature as it relates to bodily functions. Hope to meet you at Overland Expo this year. Thanks, Neil D.
The automatic W5A580 transmission that comes with the 3.6l motor is a solid transmission. I'm sure there are some folks out there that have had issues, but in general it is very reliable. In regards to Mother Nature, they sell foldable toilets seats and sanitary bags (pack it in, pack it out) that are a good option. Thanks!
Really enjoying the videos. My boys and i are planning a trip through Colorado and into Utah this summer. Is Poison spider doable in a crew cab silverado on six inch lift with 35s.
Awesome stuff guys! Im new to the jeep world but have a few upgrades like a 4inch lift 35z Nitto trail grapplers Mt. What would your jeep need for mandatory upgrades for a trail like this? I 30z up front 44 in the rear no lockers. Its a new 2018 JKU, Thanks in advance!
Wish I could come wheeling with you guys. I fear our old girl may struggle with some of these obstacles. Also here in Australia we are VERY limited to how we can modify our vehicles.
Great videos as always one of the best I follow on here in my opinion. I'm headed out to San Diego this December, if I have time would love to meet up to say hi. Alberta, Canada.
Awesome content we are planning to hit up this trail this year! Just to confirm, it is bidirectional trail so You can go back down the way you came up correct? Can’t wait to go!
My wife and I finally bit the bullet and bought a Jeep. Enjoying every minute of it. Have been watching your channel and the trails you showcase are now on our Bucket List as well. Hopefully in a year or two, we will be blazing the trials with other Jeep enthusiasts. Question though. What do you mean with you say "High Clearance"? I use my Jeep for daily travel and would like to set it up properly for the "weekend warrior" scenarios. Is there a recommended lift/tire combo you could recommend? Thanks in advance.
Congrats on the new Jeep! Clearance is relative, but Jeeps typically have more clearance than other stock 4 wheel drive vehicles.... a 4x4 Ford Explorer would not be considered high clearance without a lift.
You must be so proud of your son. He did an excellent job of maneuvering all those difficult trails. And how nice that you spent time together.
Wow, Marco packs like he's never going home!
BadKarma6 Marco’s never home!! 😂
He's like Del Griffith, hasn't been home in years.
Man!
Lol.
It's a labor of love and always enjoy showing the capability of your Jeep!
OVRLNDX I was going to say the same, this one man band is geting more and more pro. Great channel.
titolynch Right!?
Couldn't agree more OVRLNDX, so glad you guys talk me along on the journeys!
I have to say, I've never seen anyone slow cook food under the hood while driving around lol talk about getting a jump on lunch, Marco, good job!
Isnt that always the case, “just choose a good line and youll be fine”. 😂 loved the video.
Always impressed with Marco's setup. It looks not overkill and so clean. And he tackles also a lot
Love the gps point overlays, nice touch.
I can smell the clutches burning. Kudos to these overlanders hitting a real trail. Auto's rule.
Gotta burn up the clutch. That's actually a necessary technique with a manual.
Thank you Brother, Love these videos., you are inspiring me to get out there. I currently have a 2001 Chevy Tahoe with 320000 miles on her. My son Alex and I enjoy driving this old girl everywhere. Best channel on youtube. Hope one day I can experience what you all do.
Brad, you and your boy are so alike. Great drivers too!!!
Chip of the old block! He learned a lot during this trip about handling the Jeep on some solid obstacles.
Fantastic video as always! When I'm getting down because I just dropped another thousand into my Jeep, I watch one of your videos and it reminds me why I got into it in the first place. Keep up the great work!
Very nice video Brad. You’ve gotten me excited for our up coming trip.
Thank you and safe travels!
Thanks for such a great video of poison spider! We’re running this in a week and a half, and can’t wait!
Another great video! How awesome to share the adventure with your son! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
Thank you for explaining the name Poison Spider 👍 never knew.
I'm pretty sure its a tall tale, couldn't find any facts to actually support the legendary story.
@@TrailRecon It's a complete fabrication. Fun to mess with the newbies though.
Another spektacular video guys! beautiful sceneries and slow pace rock crawling....my jaw dropped pretty hard at the axles and tires on that buggy tho! that thing is gonna be an absolute beast! Cannot wait for the update on it.

This run, was awesome!!!! Thanks for taking us👍🏼
Engine Cooking! That is just awesome.
Well produced vid, very entertaining! Keep them coming.

Great video as always Brad! I’m headed to Moab in May with a friend and I can’t wait. See you on the trail Master Chief!

I can't wait to see his buggy finished, it's going to be so radical! Thank you!
It's been two years now.
Any idea if Joe got the buggy done yet?
Love your videos. Quality content, no fluff. I especially enjoy any video that has full size vehicles, as I drive a Ram 2500 set up for off road. Thanks for all your hard work!
Great video. Thanks for reminding me how boring the trails in North GA are. I need to make a trip to Moab asap.
w0w❕ What a Neat Trail to run. His Buggy is something or will be👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I can't wait to see his buggy once it's finished!
Great video thanks for sharing and keep them coming.👍
Thanks for all the hard work you put in this videos. I did Poison Spider 04/2017, playing in the sand dunes was the best part. good gob agaian.
I didnt realize the white Jeep was a manual trans. props. It has to be 5x harder wheeling this tough stuff. Amazing content by the way.
Marco makes it look easy! I'd probably stall it at every obstacle! LOL!
@@joluma09 Probably has something to do with stronger and less chance of milk shaking the stock automatic transmission.
Tire size and low range gearing make a big difference.
The wife and I are going to do Poison Spider in about 2 weeks. We’ve done Elephant hill at least 3 times. I was glad to see your video of P.S. Thanks
Poison Spider was awesome, but hands down Elephant Hill was my favorite trail we ran in Moab!

So much fun to watch! I just got back from Moab yesterday. I wasn't able to run Poison Spider so thank you for an awesome tour of the trail! Your video / editing skills are superb!
I hope you had a great trip!!
Yet again nicely done video! I am hungry for some burritos now and of course to my rig to those trails.
Thanks! I think my son at 6 of those burritos.
Seeing Marco climb in the manual gives me a lotta confidence for offreading in my manual jkU, man he makes it look good
Great video! Marco needs a personalized plate that says chuckwagon. Love watching your videos.

any videos of this ?
I’d have to look on Facebook and see if they posted the videos of it.
