Short answer: Yes, depending on how your defining zombie. if you mean someone infected with rabies who is no longer mentally sound, then they will continue to suffer chronic illnesses like epileptic seizures. Physiology will also stay the same. If your paralyzed and infected you remain paralyzed. Sadly, I can't say much about viral diseases or mental conditions. It would depend i suppose on whether or not rabies would fight another infection (bacterial or viral) but overall your immune system would be down so your more likely to get things like the flu. and I suppose mental conditions would depend? Like I think most phobias wouldn't activate since rabies lowers your judgement on things you should fear (except hydrophobia. Rabies actively gives you hydrophobia). So yeah! That's the longer answer I guess haha.
@@monstercreatorandy4059 so what if they have a mental condition? Would a severely autistic zombie be the same as the others? On a semi related note what would happen to a lobotomy patient if they got bit and turned?
@@YEE465 I don't feel confident in my knowledge of mental disorders to accurately give an answer. but I would lean yes. we might just not see the disorder presented as much. for example a lot of problems those with Autism face is social. since those infected by rabies disregard social norms it likely wouldn't matter compared to a non-autistic rabid person. however they might still have behaviors like more sensitive to light and sound. (this is based on what my partner faces, autism comes with a lot of symptoms.) I can take my depression and ADHD as a better example. since a rabid person isnt fully processing emotion, their depressed but not showing it because that part of their brain has reduced functioning. for adhd, im not sure. but this is a guess from a non professional. lobotomy is different though. if we're talking old school lobotomies, they were sort of stabbing in the dark, with no real idea what they were doing. massive parts of the brain was shut off or damaged. so if you had a lobotomy and couldn't walk or see well, you still couldnt as a rabid person. If they were showing less aggression or being passive, they likely would be less likely to attack when rabid (though not impossible for them to attack). If you developed seizures, then you'd still have them infected. I know some patients in the 60's-70's reported no longer feeling full and feeling very hungry (likely due to damage of the part of the brain that stops you when your full). A rabid person would suffer the same. Modern lobotomies are nowhere near as horrid as they use to be. they are only used to take small sections out and usually as a last resort. I think its less about 'would they have?' and moreso would it continue to express. taking lobotomies as an example, the original idea was to 'remove' the disorder by removing the part of the brain associated with it. but that doesnt work. all they did was badly damage that part of the brain so it no longer functioned. its like taking out a blind person's eyes and saying 'i fixed it!'. Rabies would do the same it badly damages pathways in the brain, however they go into arrest after a few days so its not really the brain damage that kills them in the end. But same idea. things cant express if they dont connect to the body anymore. if you could argue that that part of the brain was still active, likely you could say it would display on a rabid person. Cool questions by the way! I've been rattling these ideas around in my skull for a bit!
The Markers remind me of the Mass Relays in Mass Effect both placed there by the Antagonists who wanted sentience to find them and use them so that we go down the predefined path they want us on making it easier to harvest us later on.
We need the resistance: fall of man series to get the dead space remaster treatment. Bring us that banger of a series to modern consoles in high definition. I got fond memories watching my big bro play the games on his PS3, even scaring me at times, especially the tall stretched boys.
Hey Roanoke, I think you should look at the HK virus evolved humans from dead island 2. I find their enhanced abillities with the retention of their humanity to be fasinating, and that the HK Virus could be refined to do this in all humans with time.
You should check out the DeadSpace movie that highlight the discovery of the marker and events that led to the first game from the POV of the mining team.
Do you have a video regarding the Lurkers in Dead Space 3 that were Dogs? Or are we just understanding that they were likely changed cuz apparently "Kick the baby" only works for 2 games?
@@RoanokeGaming Based on your explanation of the Lurkers and how they are formed from brainless offspring, I'd imagine it follows a similar path simply on the idea of instead of NO BRAINS, it's simply the less evolved Canine Brains which would allow them to develop quickly. especially with the marker signal making people paranoid and likely to game over their beloved pooch
@@RoanokeGaming Honestly, while I'm guessing the design change WAS to avoid us kicking babies again (lame I know.) there are things that, based on your explanation of the Lurkers in 1/the remake, make sense. You say the Lurkers come from brainless offspring who can be changed by the signal incredibly fast as a result of... No brain. In the DS3 Lurker's case, I'd assume it would be similar but instead of no brain, it's a less evolved canine brain that being less in intelligent than humans, would be changed more quickly. Also, there's likely no shortage of bodies to make the lurkers as the paranoia would definitely cause people to game over their precious pooches...

@@monstercreatorandy4059 you know what your very smart

The Markers remind me of the Mass Relays in Mass Effect both placed there by the Antagonists who wanted sentience to find them and use them so that we go down the predefined path they want us on making it easier to harvest us later on.
Dude, no joke yesterday I was thinking that it would be cool if you made a video on Lurkers, today is my lucky day
They look like mini scorpions from COD Ghosts. Anyone else see that?
Thanks for the new vid. A high point of my day!
Im stoked to hear YOUR take on a tyranid infestation Roanoke
Stem cell research was always fascinating to me
What about Roanoke entertainment covers everything from movies to games
Thank goodness, someone calls out this being a hypothesis versus a theory.
Day 2 of asking Roanoke to cover Bloodborne
I’m so happily surprised that you are still making dead space videos
ROANOKE HAS POSTED
MY DAY HAS ASCENDED TO INCREASED HEIGHTS
We need the resistance: fall of man series to get the dead space remaster treatment. Bring us that banger of a series to modern consoles in high definition. I got fond memories watching my big bro play the games on his PS3, even scaring me at times, especially the tall stretched boys.
I wish there was even more Necromorphs to analyze
The PSR reference was crispy
Hey can you please look into the Borg from star trek?
Hey Roanoke, I think you should look at the HK virus evolved humans from dead island 2. I find their enhanced abillities with the retention of their humanity to be fasinating, and that the HK Virus could be refined to do this in all humans with time.
Yes!!!!!!! Can't wait to see a video on the Great Devourer

I can probably make on though the lore is definitely similar
The Moons are an ironic solution to a problem similar to Mass Effect's Reapers
