Something horrifying just clicked in my head regarding the Necromorph infection. Even in the complete absence of humans or animals even dust made up of dead bacteria and skin cells is fair game for a Necromorph outbreak . As long as there is enough dust a Necromorph could form. This also means that over time any living thing exposed to a marker even while alive will eventually become a Necromorph as their own dead skin cells and bacteria are slowly weaponized against them killing them from the inside out as a form of necrotic cancer. Every time one of your own immune cells attacks and kills another cell or bacteria that living cell would now be infected with Necromorph tissue as the dying bacteria is converted during consumption theoretically making each one of your cells into a regenerating cancer
hey roanoke, have you heard of the new research that suggest big cats (bobcats and cougars specifically) are able to neutralize the CWD prion within their digestive systems? I'm not sure what the specific mechanisms are, or if the study was able to determine the what/how of it, but hey at least there's even more reason to bolster conservation efforts for the north american big cats
If the markers are the seeds of civilisation and scarcity induced colony collapse is the gestation phase of a Moon's lifecycle, does that make "high intelligence" an unnatural aberration?
Thank goodness the marker destroys the dumb first. I won't have to deal with any of this horror stuff as I'll just be part of the problem in that life as I am in this one
In the original Dead Space, a med bay log explains that an alien microorganism turned everyone from the colony into "soupy goop". Keira herself finds a research log that claims the infection repurposes organisms into something *else*, also altering the environment as a "habitat changer". A crew member from the Ishimura, in another log, also explains what Roanoke said- the smarter the person, the deeper the connection and the greater the compulsion to build a Marker, saying that to "lesser" minds the connection it's just white noise. Finally, a research log in the colony explains the "Dead Space" effect the marker had on Necromorph tissue, rendering it inactive when in proximity (or activation 🤷?). From what one sees in DS3 (Dead Space 3, not Dark Souls 3 🤣) at the end, the Markers come FROM the brethren moons, cause mental issues that make ppl BUILD more Markers, which eventually start the extinction event of CONVERGENCE, from which more Markers will be released into space, repeating the cycle (as shown in DS3).
Thanks for watching guys! I hope you have a good week!

Roanoke is like a wizard with max strength
Muscle wizard cast fist
Thanks for all your hard work on these videos
My scale of horribleness of death starts at 0 with cerebral aneurysm and ends with Lewy body dimentia at 10. Prion diseases are a solid 9.
Roanoke, you were wrong! You never let the flame die out! Huza! MORE DEAD SPACE!!!
I love your fead space videos bro! I showed my brother your stuff because he loves dead space and we both watch them man! Good videos
Awesome video man
If the markers are the seeds of civilisation and scarcity induced colony collapse is the gestation phase of a Moon's lifecycle, does that make "high intelligence" an unnatural aberration?
Thank goodness the marker destroys the dumb first. I won't have to deal with any of this horror stuff as I'll just be part of the problem in that life as I am in this one
Theoretically, a janitors' worst nightmare.
Just watched Cold Skin. Great movie. Interesting monster
Makes me think of “the flesh that hates.”
yo no way, I'm here right as you upload! Nice!
Keep up the great work, man, you and your team never fail to upload a good video
6:29 Not gonna repeating that hahaha
How about "alien organism that has characteristics of both bacteria and viruses while actually being neither".
3:53...Thats what she said...
No, what is this feeling... I'm... learning...? NOOOOOO
Up to date lore vid on the Necromorph Corruption.
