Your husband messed up! He did such a great job keeping the bees and harvesting the honey, he’s earned himself another job, official bee keeper! 😂 One less job on mama! 🎉🎉 Your soup looks delicious! 🤤
Wow the honey , amazing. I’m glad your husband has been doing the bees this year . I always worry about you when you’re near them . I can always feel your tension ❤
Hello!! For the butter (you may have already commented on this), I use the whisk attachment on my mixer and let it go until it's a partial ball. I don't have to filter it. It's all almost stuck together. Pretty easy to get out of the whisk. Separates the buttermilk beautifully. Sorry if you know all this. Just a suggestion to make it easier for you. You've done great with the challenge this year. Thank you
Oh Boy that looks so good and I'm very happy for you and your family. I just opened one of my jars of Beautyberry jelly and found it to be so thick it won't really spread. When I made it, I used one packet of Sure=Jell which is what I normally use but I never added water into the straight Beautyberry juice and noticed it was way thicker. I wish I had added water when I felt that need as not sure how to make these beauty jars of jelly be more friendly. I use it to sweeten my yogurt every morning so it won't matter but have you ever experienced thick jelly and how did you deal with it? The taste is absolutely the best I've ever had so the berries (seemed bigger this year) and the juice was so rich. Must have been the weather as almost all my fruit products were heavy crops. Wonderful surprise so I guess I've harvested knowledge about the berries. When in doubt add a little water! In case you've not had it before, Beautyberry tastes just like delicious honey. They grow as weeds down in FL and most people just dig them out and toss as weeds. They just don't know their value. I bet you make bread when you have than soup - what a great Momma you are. Your kids will have good memories of you bottling up rainbows and be able to rmember the smell of fresh bread. Lucky kids!
Corn cutting tip: You can use a bundt pan to cut your corn on/in, and it won't go everywhere. I've learned from experience that it makes it sooooo much easier and a quicker process. I love watching your videos, I'm always challenged to do more. Thank you. :)
Just found your channel and i love how you do things! Would the raw pack soup work with chunks of chicken instead? (i have a beef allergy, but would like to can more than a veggie soup)
Oh they are so amazing!! Hops are nervines, and are good for helping us de-stress and relax. I use in tea and in my sweet dreams tincture in the apothecary shop.
I usually do about 2 Tbsp good salt (Redmond Real Salt) per 1 quart of filtered water. You can start with 1.5 Tbsp and see if that suits your tastes better. But I wouldn't go below that. The salt brine is what helps keep the bad bacteria out, and let the good bacteria flourish. Give it a try....fermented foods are so worth it for our health!
The sound of your voice is excellent to listen to.
I was going to say the same! Some people are knowledgeable but their voice grates on my nerves. 😅 😊

We are really enjoying the freeze dried corn we did this year. It rehydrates so fast and its like nothing ever happened.
I was wondering!!
I'm pretty excited to check it out. I am considering placing another corn order with Azure to do more.
It's an asset to my pantry, for sure.
I use a muslin or cheese cloth in my strainer works well it’s good for washing and squeezing the milk residue out too
I will try that next time. Thank you!

Can you tell me where you purchased the bucket with the spigot please….
Love your channel!
We bought ours from a local supplier that has gone out of business. But here is one on Amazon, that I would buy if we need another.

Hope to see how your freeze dried corn actually turns out when it’s time to eat!
I will absolutely share. :)

Absolutely, but still stay at the 90 min processing time for quarts (depending on your altitude). Glad you found the channel!
😃
I canned your vegetable soup yesterday!😀
Yay! I hope you like it!
Amanda what do you use hops for? We just found a bunch growing on our place!

I’d love to make fermented food but I can’t tolerate the saltiness. We’d love to see tips !
