Have you ever been on an MSC cruise? We would love to hear your experience if so. If not, what is keeping you from giving them a try? Thanks for watching. We would love it if you would consider subscribing!
Thanks for giving a more realistic review of MSC. We were on Seascape in mid December 2023, and had a wonderful time. No variety of food in the buffet? How could anybody eat that many things over the course of a week? It was absolutely huge. The food, drinks, and service were all great, both buffet and dining room. The coffee at the buffet was superb, and it was ready very early in the morning for those of us who are early risers. I agree with some that embarking and disembarking could have been done with better instructions, but it made sense in hindsight. The only negative was that they lost one of my wife's bags somewhere between our room and where we picked them up off the ship. MSC did eventually find it and shipped it to our home. Finally, for the life of me I don't know why some reviewers say they have trouble understanding the elevators. They're easy to understand and operate. While on the ship we booked another cruise with MSC for next year.
We love MSC and agree about embarkation with them. We join in Southampton, UK, and get from handing over our luggage to the bar in 10 minutes!!! We stick to our boarding time. We love the staff, never had an issue. We love the premium drinks package. The buffet is huge and varied. We do find the MDR limited to our tastes as in, limited menu so do visit often. The speciality restaurants are lovely. Never had cabin issues. Zero complaints us, just big thumbs up even when full sailing. Excellent value for the money.
We are going at the end of march. I was nervous after i booked it. But the price couldn't be beat. Thanks for the video now I feel better about going 😊
We LOVE MSC...we've been on 3 european and one caribbean cruise....food is great....entertainment was always spectacular!!! One one night while on a European cruise in Seville...the entertainment was my favorite opera...Carmen, WOW!!!! Can't wait to book again this spring!!!!
I just love the way you spoke positively about MSC i am taking a party of 30 family members out of Barbados on a 14-day cruise and I am doing my research your video was really encouraging
Nice balanced review thanks! We are trying our first MSC cruise next May - Miami to Rome. This review has made us feel a little more relaxed about our decision to try MSC.
Great video. I love the positivity. I have been on the Seascape and I will be on the Seaside in November. I try and not watch the negative reviews. I am 1 for 1 on MSC so far. Thanks for sharing the video.
Thanks for this video. I’m going on the MSC Seascape this Saturday! The reviews had me a little worried but watching this video is exactly what I needed!!
We took a week-long cruise on the seashore and we absolutely loved it.🎉 we loved Ocean Cay and we think it is far superior to any other ship private island that we have gone to.
I guess i am the third person, hahaha. Seriously, there are plenty people that enjoy their MSC sailings. Negativity is just contagious at times and gets clicks unfirtunately. Enjoy your cruise.
We love MSC and always cruise in the Yacht Club. We had similar misgivings before our first MSC cruise back in 2015. We were coming from Disney and we too were looking for a more economical cruise vacation option because Disney's prices were going through the roof. Once we found the Yacht Club, we never left and are now Diamond cruisers with MSC Cruises USA!
On my trip in the MSC Meravigilia they announced everyone to get off the ship suddenly. I understand it may have been for some safety reason, but they would not explain what was happening and proceeded to have everyone sit out in a port for 4-5 hours with no food or water bottles. Security staff were yelling and cursing, people had to sit on the dirty floor when seats were taken. A woman was so stressed out that they didn’t let her change the baby’s diaper so she threw it on the floor. The least they could’ve done is told us to bring something comfortable to wear or hand out water
Or first MSC cruise was on the Seaside and it is our favorite MSC ship. We loved your in depth review. We especially loved the Yacht Club. Great video.
We've done 4 MSC cruises now and #5 at the end of the month. We too heard a bunch of negatives in review, but don't experience that ourselves. I've got to assume that the American cruises and the European ones must be different and the European ones must be where the negativity is.
We love MSC! Beautiful ships, great food and entertainment... I've noticed the bad reviews come from narrow-minded people complaining about multiple lamguages spoken on board (I guess it comes as a shock to them to find out there are other languages than English!); the food (awesome Mediterranean food) and thanks God waiters and bartenders don't feel it's mandatory to annoy you with their attention. Get speedily what you have ordered and avoid unnecessary conversations Americans are so find of!
We just got off the Seaview (Oct.1-8). When were you sailing? I agree that I was pleasantly surprised with most everything. We took advantage of MSC status match & boarded our first cruise as Diamond level!
Main reason I don’t like MSC is that they normally don’t have any other complimentary food option beside main dining and buffet. Hours are more restrictive with food as well. There are often times when there is no food available. Can’t believe they wouldn’t have a burger stand, sandwich shop, taco stand …..Sometjing!
Yeah, that is definitely something that I wish they would improve, and something I mentioned in a follow up video after we took a 2nd MSC cruise. Thanks so much for watching and for sharing!
Really enjoy sailing on MSC. Safe yourself the time, wait to register your card. We waited till the last day, on the Meraviglia last month. 😁. No line😂. Wait till later the first night. Very international so be ready for different norms. If people bother you, book yacht club, really isn't that expensive compared to other lines.
Interesting your experience for adding your credit card to your room on boarding. Your key/room card is ready to use straight away and you are normally then given 48 hours after sailing to visit the self service machines to do this, which does mean there is then rarely a wait since you can do it anytime over the 48 hours and this does speed things up on check-in as it's one less process. We have done 10+ MSC cruises and really enjoy them, but as a Brit I am probably more used to the 'European' vibe on their ships. The one thing US guests we have met seem to struggle with is the food portion size, over here we all think you guy's eat too much anyway, but you can always ask for another food course and the buffet is open 20+ hours a day if you need a couple of pizza slices as a top up! You cannot beat MSC for value, you just have to consider what you paid and maybe adjust expectations accordingly.
Well made video, thank you! We are sailing end of October. How many people on board for your cruise? Do you think it will be more or less crowded in October than in September? Thanks
There were 4,200 people on board our recent cruise and we felt like we had plenty of room to ourselves. I believe there's potential for an October cruise to have more passengers due to Fall break in mid to late October.
Was on the Grandiosa was our 1st cruise. Was great only draw back was people smoking on the balcony so couldn’t enjoy ours as much as we wanted. Wish MSC enforced that rule. I would do them again as well.
Tried sister Seascape. Nice/new but food OK, elevators a pain. Atrium noisy. Crowded ship. Maneuvering throughout ship confusing. No around ship jogging/walking track. Entertainment fair/good. Good value for $. Ocean Cay very nice. Cruise port debarkation practices could improve.
Did I understand you right when you said Exter entrée would cost five dollars or was that just for lobster or something else so each extra Andre meaning your second would cost five dollars is that right?
That's correct. If you want a 2nd entrée it is $5, which oftentimes is free on other lines. A premium entrée like lobster is $20, but from our experience is well worth the extra expense due to their generous portion.
No surprise…I feel exactly the same….i want a clean beautiful ship with awesome staff and food I can eat and that’s what I got…people who dis msc well their just steak and potoatoes kind of people….aka mostly Americans…lol…the rest of the world has no complaints…btw no disrespect to Americans
Ship very nice .Food ok. Geting your money back when a day trip goes tits up . Geting blood from a stone is easier.never again I will step on a MSC ship again €160 ×2. Out of pocket.
Man, that stinks! We had an issue where they owed us a credit after our recent trip. It was difficult to get after a series of calls, but we did get it! Be persistent....good luck!!
I am with you on that! We don't like crowded ships either!! However, that was not our experience with this MSC cruise. There was a total of 4,200 on board including the crew. It was much less crowded than previous cruises on other lines we had been on. During the cruise we commented on how much space we felt like we had compared to those other experiences. Thanks so much for your thoughts!
Sounds like you might not like any of Royal's Oasis class ships. Hahaha. Just joking around, somewhat. Those ships are indeed sailing full. Like Royal, these ships have spaces for folks to spread out. Happy sailing!
Thank You for your MSC Seaside Vlog!!! We are Going On MSC Seashore after Thanksgiving! We were frankly tired of all the negative Vlogs On UA-cam about MSC…. 🛳️🛳️🛳️ We Are Planning on Vloging our Experience Since This Will Be Our First MSC Cruise Experience.

I completely agree with this video. MSC is an amazing value, and I am hosting my 3rd group on a cruise this Thanksgiving. Great video!
Thank you for watching and for your feedback! So glad you’ve had a good experience with MSC as well.
I love this review. I’ve been on numerous cruises but never MSC. I’ll give it a try due to this video ❤
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're glad you enjoyed the review and we hope you have an amazing time on your MSC cruise!

@@travelthenrepeat 😁 we always wait.
You don't even have to do it on the ship. We had ours done on the app check in a week before we got on the ship, and didn't give it another thought.

Good to know. A couple of are going in our next one in December - I’ll have them do that!!
Heading on MSC Seashore on 12/3/2023
That's right around the corner.. have a great trip!!
Did you book a Bella experience? Drinks package?
Was on the Grandiosa was our 1st cruise. Was great only draw back was people smoking on the balcony so couldn’t enjoy ours as much as we wanted. Wish MSC enforced that rule. I would do them again as well.
NCL is not very good about enforcing that either in my experience. Thanks for the comment!
