Nice job from another veteran finish carpenter. I have switched over almost exclusively to CA glue and activator as it drys almost instantly and if you research strength comparison videos it outperforms all of the Titebonds and wood glues. But great video
Yes, everyone does because the framing and Sheetrock is always out of whack. What I do if the gap is severe, is hammer the Sheetrock down around the jamb, if the Sheetrock is proud or if the jamb is proud of the Sheetrock, I use a parallel clamp to push the jamb flush if possible. When all else fails, you just need a little more caulking.
Have you heard of Hipur glue? Spencer from Insider Carpentry hyped about it. I just bought one Clam Clamp and I'll be trying this glue later on today on some window and door casing. The glue supposedly dries within minutes and no need for scissor nailing.
I have researched it but never tried it. I didn’t invest in it because now that my shop is just about finished(which you’ll be seeing soon) I plan to do more custom builds and send the cabinetry and other builds out to the clients or an installer. I won’t be doing much window and door casing work.

Tony, great pro tips! Looks perfect. Do you ever get gaps between the outer edges of the moldings and the wall surfaces?
