@@zachmoyer1849 Nooo, none at all! Well, only thing is my knees still pop somethings when I squat down to do something lol. I'm a bit of a unique case though, I gained like 130 LBS super fast when shit at home got real bad when i was like 14-15ish, and from 15-18 I was just superr disgusting big, 6'0 330LBS. When I moved out, started living a little, met some ppl, etc, I realized I had to do this now if I wanted a chance to really enjoy my 20's. So from 19-22 I was just grinding, moved out of state to help me focus more, and am 23 now, about to be 24 in a few months, and my body feels fucking pristine. 185 now, I was "lucky" I was young enough to save myself any major problems, but it's really never too late. If you're someone who's looking to really change your body, the biggest thing that helped me was you need to understand you have to stop thinking in terms of days, start thinking in terms of years, find something that really fuels you, on a basic level, and use that to win the "I have to change my life" mental battle first, but once that one's over and you have momentum, it's gg, keep going

Dayum i dont understand that either. Tbh i was at 215 lbs and nobody told once how heavy i was. But i knew i was supposed to be at 170. I can honestly tell you that their is nothing to be proud of being overweightm i felt lazy, felt sleepy at times. Now i weigh 165-170 and never felt this good physically. I feel motivated to do things and recommend people overweigtht to people to do the same. And honestly you dont even have to give up your favorite fat foods, just go out and do excersise. Just dont overdue your meals lol.

For those who don’t know, Lizzo is from Minneapolis MN and used to have a huge following here as it was the town she began her career in. After this stuff happened, nobody wants her associated with the place anymore. Not a lot of people come up from here and get famous, so we take what we can get. If you get blacklisted from a place like that, you’re just welcomed nowhere. Imagine that just being your life😂 who would have thought that actions have consequences.

FWIW, you don't know my life lol. I DO work out and eat right. I do physical labor for a living, being out of shape isn't a real option. You can eat like crap if you want, explain to your boss that the job didn't get done, or got done wrong, because you couldn't move righ, all cause yer tummy hurts from eating gas-station food for lunch. Come out here and do housepads with me in South FL. Or nowadays you can join me in a 130F attic, where we will be working for hours doing carpentry and lugging heavy machinery up into the ceiling. Talk to me about being fit then, not before.
Never in my life have I thought to moralize weight. It's not a matter of right and wrong, just well-being and self-image. A person's weight and overall health is a personal matter. There are in fact plenty of people classed as overweight, who are perfectly healthy according to even their own doctors. There are a whole bunch of ways to look at health and lifestyles, it's a project all of humanity has been working on for a very long time. And yet, there still is no person or institution existing today, that can tell you everything you need to be maximally well, or even show you quite what a fully healthy person looks like, probably because well-being is more like a spectrum tied to shifting relative factors. Making it a moral thing misses the forest for the trees. It gives you a lot to complain about, and few workable problems to solve.
Lizzo, if anything did more damage to body positivity than any other present zeitgeist-level figure. The most outspoken supporter of it has been found to be a hypocrite. She gave the best possible ammunition to people on the negative side of the moral argument. And now the ones on the positive side come out to rattle sabers. I'd just be curious to know what any of the people on either side of this hope to accomplish by bickering at each other online. Maybe it's just my personal bias - I am selfish with my health and well being. I don't care if other people have what I think are bad habits or whatever... I think about MY habits and MY well-being and to an extent I expect friends and family to do the same.
Like, I've gone the other way for most of my life. It's not really the same experience, but I've always been the target of skinny shame. The thing is, it's just not relevant. Skinny shame ends when skinny out works big stronk up on a midday roof. If you are focused on what your body can do and what it needs, the morality of others and their judgements falls off and you focus on what matters for your health. And you don't really need to speak about it. It doesn't matter what people think so long as you succeed. If your body is capable, then its capabilities will take you further than the moral thinkers can ever go. To be where they aren't, you have to escape how they think and move. The longer you stay to fight, the more you are weakened by attrition, and the more rent your insecurities pay to your brain's landlord. Hateful attitudes are far easier to cultivate... there's always more of those than good ones. Love is like an orchid, it can't grow in an active combat zone.
But if you get mired down in those stupid little fights, and then on top, fail to be the exception to the toxicity... well, this is the outcome for such a public figure. At some point, you gotta truly be above it, and Lizzo showed us all she never was. You can't be up there preaching self-love, and then do something so clearly born from self-hate you got living in the hell that is other people. It's just that no matter how many demons you battle in hell, there are always more entering than you can drop, and they'll take you under one day. A true warrior needs no sword or shield, and has no enemies. That is to say, a true warrior fights only to make peace. Lizzo fought at least partially because it kept her in the game, a natural corruption absorbed from celebrity culture. I have no delusions of knowing the real thought of the person behind the public persona. But if her goal was to end fat shaming, making fighting it the main thing that gets you attention kinda contradicts it. At some point, Lizzo would've ultimately been in a position where that fight can never truly end.
It's kinda live and pass by the sword. When your inroads to celebrity culture is a fight, even one worth fighting, it kind of marks your time in the limelight to be a continual sequence of gathering battle scars. I don't think anybody is really built for it. But it goes to show how meaningless these public 'fights for right' and the figures we champion ultimately are. People like Lizzo make it hard not to question who else postures good values just winds up being a total farce, just riding the friction of those values up until they inevitably fail their own tests, as we all do falter. Pride cometh before the fall, and Lizzo had a lot of pride in her fight and the success it brought her.
You can blame people for that all day, but I caution you that you're going to find yourself mad at a world that hasn't changed how you liked. There's no honor, let alone change in clinging to these fallen idols. Heck, I think there comes a point where arguing about it online CREATES more bad thinkers and actors, gives people an impetus to absorb and act on values they wouldn't have even been inclined towards, had there not been the allure of a spectacle, and a nice 'good guys and bad guys' dichotomy that makes it feel meaningfull to accost randos across tweets and comments. I think we take for granted how much stuff like that messes with our consciousness as both individuals and as groups. We live in these fights that we invent for each other across media and just fester in it until we are, like you and the people you oppose, making sweeping generalizations about our perceived enemies, or what's even worth fighting for, let alone what the fight is about. Just a big ball of angry people rolling around in a stagnant pit. The best you can get from it is slight entertainment, but even that is just coping.

Back when I was struggling with my weight I always hated when people would be “body positive” towards me because it was so demotivating and it felt like those people were more interested in enabling their own bad habits than they were in supporting my desire to be healthy.. She wanted so bad to be the superhero for fat girls and it backfired. Lizzo issue isn’t with social media it’s with herself.
