Now I'm actually coming here and will tell people how much I learned from this tour!
thank you, a great tour showing most of the trails that i was walking 60% of my time when i was in uchicago... the only missings are bookstore/postoffice/boothshool/ihouse
I’m visiting in three days and I’m so excited! :)
im thinking of visiting soon, thanks for showing us newbies haha!
awsome guest guider. Thanks for your brilliant video!
Thanks for the tour!
AHHHHH I LOVE FONG!!!!1
actually looked at the art to live with program and wow truly some beautiful pieces.
thank you, sissi and fong!! excited to visit uchicago this week, and now I know which places I should def check out 😄
I'm looking forward to seeing Campus North in person! Maybe at another alumni weekend... the last time I was on campus was alumni weekend 2018 and it was a big construction zone then.
Oh right, Woodlawn is a thing now too! I lived in South (RGG) so that'll be closer to home. I basically never went to the Crown/Smart area lol.
You almost got to my department in the social sciences building.
Taking my daughter for a visit in 3 weeks
I've been researching U Chicago quite a bit, in preparation for my interview for Booth's incoming class. It's cool to learn what the school is all about, outside of the business school.
I’ve actually taken (and struggled through haha) quite some courses at Booth and I think Booth also carries the tradition of UChicago too (in a different way of course)! I’ve really enjoyed learning/struggling through psets with MBA students. If you like intellectually curious, collaborative, and “do it for learning, not for the grades” culture, I think Booth is exactly that.
@@chocopuffeater I appreciate the input! I'm really looking forward to interviewing and fingers crossed I get in.
Would you mind making a video on your stats and how you got into UChicago? I will soon be applying to UChicago (most likely ED) and I want to get to know more! Thanks
Hey! I won’t be doing that since I feel that it’s not that useful to learn about stats (you can just get that from the website) plus since I’m a third year my stats may not be reflective of how it is now
@@chocopuffeater hehe thanks for replying! i am totally on your side! I'm actually more interested in the extracurriculars that you had and were you an international applicant or domestic?
I was president of my school's Key Club and I am a domestic applicant from a big NYC public school! hope that helps :)
hi, I’m going to visit next week before I decide if I want to commit, how would you say the lifestyle is there? Is it close knit or more cut throat?
It's close knit. I'm going to qualify that by saying most of the stress feels like individual stress since you and your friends usually don't have the same classes. Also, (other than some departments: bio, econ) there is no predetermined grade scheme, your grade depends on only your performance in that the cutoffs for each grade are naturally decided by where people cluster.
Also struggling through classes def unites the class haha
A dream
holy shit this campus is so beautiful! may i ask what you studied (before you went to university)?
I didn't have a major in high school!
chocopuffeater oh i see, but did you choose any subjects? (like did your school have a common curriculum or did you get to choose some subjects on your own?)
Omg why did you have to say the pathway was not lined up 😭😭lol
Great video!! I have a question, do u have scholarship?
Yea I do!
Is she from Munich?
She’s from Poland!
Hi..I am from India..I am more interested joining in uc .. this year complete my graduation with 75%..can I get any scholarships..plz tell me ..
Are the Uchicago stereotypes true? Really low GPAs (grade deflation), studying all day, very theoretical and intellectual, etc.
hiii
You walked like two blocks only. Not that the campus is that big either, but still.
2:30 Looks like a Soviet prison camp! Pleasant
I go to u of c lab schools
Great school but in such a sad part of Chicago :(
You are both beautiful women! Are you currently dating?
😂
@@melanieelizalde4045 Hope your classes are well for both of you---for I hear its a difficult school. I've heard harder than Harvard and Yale.

Remember to show people where they will be mugged or attacked! This is UC not Northwestern! Walk a block off campus and you are taking your life in your hands.
Steve Jovan Nope.

See the criminal data. This is not Depaul located in Lincoln Park.
Why just because UC is surrounded by black low income areas?
Two buddies of mine went to DePaul, they got mugged because they were walking on their iPhones at 1am and not paying attention . Made themselves easy targets
It’s crime everywhere in any major city like LA, NYC, DC etc. Stay on your P’s & Q’s and use common sense and you’ll be fine. I’ve lived all over Chicago from Hyde Park, Pullman, West Side and Wicker Park.
I’ve never been robbed because I always remain aware of my surroundings.
