I’m actually the exact opposite. I LOVE liquor and cannot stand beer. I’ve had plenty of experience with beer and have only ever found one beer that I can enjoy at social events. Sol cerveza. Similar to a corona but lighter in flavor and easier when putting salt and a lime in. In terms of liquor I love pretty much everything except for the whiskey family (scotch, burbon and whiskey). I gravitate towards rums, gins and vodkas but I like a lot of them. And lastly my favorite alcohol to drink is mead. A good mead with the texture and alcohol content of wine is STUNNING… especially if back sweetened after fermentation. A good metheglin or melomel can nourish the soul. But you’d think with my love of mead and my tolerance to high proof liquor I would love wine but sadly unlike beer… I haven’t found ANYTHING that I like when the subject of wine comes up. It’s a bit upsetting because I know wine goes good with pastas and meats and I’d like to experiment with those kinds of pairings but me and wine have NEVER agreed for some reason…
