This is the best muzzle timing video on youtube. Thank you
Awesome! Thanks for the kind words, we're trying to help people out!
3 prong hiders should still be timed. If you have a passage pointing down, you will get a lot of dustup shooting prone. I say point it upward, with a prong in 6 o'clock.
Don't use alcohol to clean muzzle threads, it's not a strong enough solvent. Use brake parts cleaner or carb cleaner and clean inside the valleys of the threads by scrubbing with a toothbrush or preferably a brush with phosphor bronze or brass bristles. Make sure the threads are fully dry before applying Rocksett.
Thank you.. This was so much more helpful than Dead Air's instructions.
Glad we can help out!
I remember when they found that watch on the titanic!
🤣
Does timing of the brake need to be perfect or just relatively close? It seems from the video that you were more concerned with proper torque than exact alignment.
It should be close, but you do not have to pull out a laser level to ensure perfect alignment.
Could you list all the parts and tools you've used? Also, could you provide me with the link to where you purchased them?
Check out the blog on our site!
If you're always shooting suppressed, does it really matter if a brake is timed?
For suppressor performance, no not really. But its still nice to have the brake properly timed on the of chance you do have to shoot without the silencer.
Define good torque wrench plz. Mine just died from a vehicular smooshing.
Would not recommend a smooshed torque wrench, but any of the models at your local hardware store will suffice. These do not have to be exact.
