Mistakes were made with the M3, RX-7 would still have still taken it but it could have atleast kept on the MR-2. It's a lot heavier than it looks or initially feels, and the weight only really becomes apparent once you go past it's threshold, so you always have to be anticipating that or you can easily end up with understeer/oversteer. It also doesn't have as much weight in the front due to the 50/50 weight distribution so you really have to treat it more like a MR than a FR, otherwise it just understeers.
Yup. It also suprises me. I thought it loses due to its weight and long gearing that doesnt suit tsukuba. A track with tight hairpin and short straights, but then Supra has exactly the same issues but finishes far ahead. Lol
@@radityaindera3442 Traction of the supra is far superior to the E36 M3, supra also has a lot more torque because of turbo engine. M3 is N/A wich you need to rev high in order to make power. E36 M3 would be better on fuji speedway where it can breath
I was really impressed by how the non turbo supra was able to hang for as long as it did especially in those corners. Was not expecting that. Also the Supra spoilers looks like Sharks hunting in open water lol

if u want to see true track perfromance stay away from best motoring track battles.... other japanese car magazines with a more neutral point of view get seriously different resluts with none japanses cars... excellent example Porsche 997 GT2 RS(620hp / 1385kg) .... tested by best motoring at a track battle a the Fuji Speedway they reached a 1:55.150min and was beaten to shit by a Nissan GT-R(480hp/1740kg) driving 1:53.633... which was damn close to the best ever recorded 1:53.22min for a early 480hp Nissan GT-R around Fuji.... who realy belive this shit? NOBODY... a other japanese car magazine with a more neutral testing and less japanese biased tendence than best motoring tested the exactly same 997 GT2 RS with 1:50.54min driven by a car journalist... can someone explain me a 5second different between a "race" driver and a car journalist on a perfect track were a japanese car was close to its own lap record... btw the 1:5054min was production car laprecord at Fuji raceway till a McLaren 675LT with a professional race driver did a 1:46min... Pretty sure a real race driver who seriously would do a time attack run would have plaed the 997 GT2 RS under 1:50min...thats the different between serious track testing and best motoring goofy around to promot japanses cars as the cheap spercars killers
Your comment shows that you are a very ignorant and naive person. There are a lot of Best Motoring battles where european cars won, like Scirocco R vs STI / Evo on Tsukuba, 996 GT3 vs NSX / R33 GTR on Tsukuba, 911 Turbo and F360 vs Nismo R34 R-Tune on SUGO and many many more. In the Fuji Speedway battle you are talking about, the GT2 RS was driven by S. Ara who was mainly a racing driver for Audi Japan and their cars have semi-auto S-tronic transmissions. He was most likely not used to the manual gearbox of the GT2 RS. In addition, the car was a left hand-drive, another thing japanese drivers are not used to. These are probably the two reasons why he mis-shifted twice in that race, resulting in a big time loss. The driving itself was not the issue, if it wasn't for the mis-shifts the GT2 RS definately could have won. As for this battle right here.. do you seriously believe an E36 M3 can take on an MR2 or RX7 on track? lol It's good for straight line and thats it.
M k just go to fastest laps tsukuba laptimes. .. Most of them are from Best Motorig total wired laptimes civic faster than 911 or m3 .... seriously Who belive that?

Lol yeah right millions of people disagree with that statement and I promise you there is no BMW engine based car (especially from the 90s) entering the sub 6 second quarter mile times like the 2j has achieved. This is a real world mind-blowing fact you can argue with if you like.
Real life grand turismo! ;) *start-o!
It seems the M3 e36 is fast on straight but it doesn't handle very well...

Stock cars on stock wheels and stock suspension. Brilliant fun!
the only video on tsukuba without NSX :D
RX 7 fastest on this track. With Best lap time.

Can't believe how slow that M3 was at the time...
Probably weak 250 hp version
@@Lancia_Delta_Integrale No. 286 PS. Bad tires.
That aspect ratio lol where is this from?
If only rx7 had a reliable engine. It would be the greatest rwd jdm. That thing handles unbelievably.
Handles because of this engine.
Supra 👌🏾☺️

Ironically that the supra N/A wins
M3 the best, S52B32 having a turbo will kill - 2jz-gte, 3s-gte, fd3s
All Japanese imported M3s are S50B30 euro or S50B32, not S52B32.
