The mke200, do you always have to turn the gain up in post. I’ve just got one but find play back through the iPhone sounds really low level and if anything not as good as the native iPhone mic
No, the levels are fine and of course using a third-party app you can manually adjust that. But what I do find is you need to EQ it to make it sound good (needs low end/bass) , otherwise it is somewhat tinny.
Don’t have any issues really with the 14 Pro Max as it has excellent battery life, but in this scenario if I did need a battery I’d use a MagSafe one like this… amzn.to/3YHz36o
Just a guess but if you were using the ultra wide or telephoto and in lower light or seeing shadows or high contrast the dynamic tone mapping can/will kick in and unfortunately add noise - even with low ISO. It’s an Apple thing. It can even happen in bright light if there’s high contrast areas of the image.
Love your videos! I have one question. Can I buy an ND filter from another brand and put it on my Sandmarc tele lens?
Can u do a video on audio processing? Pls 🙏
I'm sold on the Sennheiser...I want the ambient sound for my travel videos.
LETS GOOOO RODEE. i sold my mke 600 lol.

Great review! How can you monitor audio in the native camera app?
Technically, you can’t. But if you use an audio interface, like the AI micro you kind of can. But there’s never any meters and it’s automatic.
Which would you say sounds better after post processing? MKE200 or Videomicro ii?
Probably say the Rode as it needs less work and is less expensive.
How are you keeping the iPhone charged ?
The way I do it is with a dongle that has 2 Lightning connectors inputs I can use either one for charging and connecting accessories
@@anibitscream and the mic works on the other port ?
@@djxcel23 yes the iPhone pocos it up as an external device as if you’d use the main port while at the same time charging it.

@@iphoneographers Got it what is the solution then ?
Use the main camera, and if you want to go wider or tighter, add an external lens. The main camera gets the best results.
