I just got a Zoom r8 digital 8 track recorder with license for Cubase LE. Recorder is also interface and controller for DAW specifically Cubase LE. Thanks for your tutorial. I like having faders for mixing and recorder is portable too.

Is there a way to erase a musical event easily? Or should I simply use these erase tool. I don't know if that will also erase the audio file or not. I would rather not erase the whole track if I don't like what I recorded if possible. Or if I cut it how to erase that part.
Hi, I have encountered a problem: my metronome has no sound. Also, when I tried to record my drum in 7:43, the recorded part didn’t show up in groove 02, both 01 and 02 became red when recording.
Completed lesson 1 and was stoked to move on to lesson 2. I got about 2 minutes into lesson 2 and he starts triggering the drum pads on a piano keyboard. At no point in Lesson 1 or so far in lesson 2 was there any mention of how to connect a keyboard to Cubase. A little frustrating for a true newbie.
Sorry for the confusion. If you have a MIDI keyboard that plus in via USB, it's as simple as plugging it in, and it will work. Note the pads in Groove Agent have the note names on them and the octave. You can also just click the pads :)
Hi, I got Cubase AI 10.5 with my yamaha amp for christmas, and I've seen all the beginner videos out there. I don't seem to be missing any features, which is great; however, every time I try to listen to the samples in the sample area, no sound comes out and it looks as if it's not even playing. Same goes for when I move it over to the work space area, it plays, but there is no audio. I've tried turning my volume up all the way and using earbuds/ headphones, but alas, no sound... lol. I hope it doesn't have to deal with my laptop lol, I can't really replace it. please help I'm desperate ;---;

Sounds like you are dragging the groove MIDI onto the piano track, (i'm guessing Halion), make sure it is on the Groove Agent track and you should hear drums. If i'm mis unserstanding you, please elaborate further.

Hey Roderick. Hmm that is very odd. I'm sorry to say I don't know why and I can't find any info on this specific issue when doing a search. My only suggestion is to separate the kick from the beat. We cover this in quite a few of our tutorials but have no free vids released on the subject. However, it's fairly simple. Greg Ondo has a pretty good video on the subject. It's perhaps a bit too much info, but you only need to pay attention to how to route the kick pad out. Here is the vid ua-cam.com/video/WSgH4HUAst4/v-deo.html .
Those little extras like ' If you don't have the particular kit in your package it will look like its loaded to a beginner but actually it hasn't' are a great unseen helpful nugget that saves lots of time.
I got Qbase 11LE with my Zoom H4n Pro and when I hit "+" and then instrument, it does not show Groove Agent as an option. It shows "No VST Instrument" or "Plogue Art et Technologie, inc. sforzando VST x 64. Your videos are very good, but I have had way to many problems with the QBase LE version. Also no Linking that I can find. Are they trimming back the QBase 11 LE? This is a very very poor way to try to market their product. Got any other suggestions for another DAW?

If i dont have a keyboard or drum pad is there an easier way to record my own drum track without having to use the draw tool ? I found that very hard to navigate.. (was my first time)
Hi, yes you could use Groove Agent, pick a kit, then record, click the drum pads with the mouse as it's recording. You would have to do one drum at a time of course, but that is the only other way I think... Well, other than using the Groove Agent patterns, which are also super helpful

Hi Andy. The Groove Agent tempo is locked to the project tempo. Simply change the BPM on the transport panel. You can also half or double the tempo of any pattern in Groove Agent by going to 'Edit', 'Agent', 'MIDI' :)

Went back and reinstalled the Groove Agent. Now it works.

Why when I drag from the groove the pattern, to the instrument track ,when I press play, I do not hear drums, only the rhythm of a piano melody?

On most of My Groove Agent (SE5) kits, when I use the midi controller, the kick is so quite you can barely hear it, even with the GA volume up

Dose cubase ai or le support thirdparty plugin like ezdrumme?
Yes you can use third party plugins as long as they are VST format you'll be fine

Cubase 9.5 is 64bit plugs/inst only. There may be some kind of 'VST wrapper' that might let you load it but I have not looked into it.
