I was looking for an easy headband to make for my sister and this is perfect. It will be my first one!
So easy and beautiful I made one and love I think I'll make them when I have leftover yarns or if I want a particular color I'll just use it if that yarn isn't in my scrap bin.

If you have trouble with the cable, just work the wattle stitch (sc, ch 1, dc) across and ignore the cable. This will give you a nice crocheted texture. Start and end the scarf with the ribbing (headband pattern).

Hello, my mother would love a headband but wants super bulky yarn!! Can I make this pattern with number 6 yarn?
You can give a try and see what you think! You would just work fewer rounds and perhaps upsize your hook a bit. You may even need fewer chains as well.
