yes. it relieves pain. it is not a treatment for blood clots. it works in small-diameter veins and larger-diameter veins depending on their size. New veins have new valves, however, it is genetic, so valves can become faulty.

Malfunctioning valves can occur in any vein. the recurrence increases when there is a history of varicose veins.
