    Yes a slower one with worsted weight would be incredibly helpful. The written pattern doesn't say when to change colors. I want to get it. I know how to crochet.

    Thank you so much for making the video, very beautiful. I'm making some now following along with you. My hair does that all the time, it's EVERYWHERE around my house so I keep one area I crochet in & before I go in I brush thru my hair & put it up in a ponytail or up some other way by I would almost guarantee that everything I make has at least one in it. There's no way to get it out once it's in there that I know of. Lol

    • @prettydarnadorable
      @prettydarnadorable  2 роки тому

      Never thought to brush my hair first! That is perfect - mind you I just got it cut waaay short so hopefully less will fall out. I usually end up getting a tiny pair of shears and cutting it as close as I can to the project.

    I know this is a older video so hopefully youll see my comment :) Cute pumpkins.
    So for my first I decided to make a pumpkin w worsted/1 strand to practise. One thing I noticed is when you did the first color change your pumpkin isbalready starting to curve up the sides. I did 40 stitches on my increases (for a medium size) and did 2 rows of color changes and its still flat.. Is that because I did it w a single strand? That doesnt seem right. I usually make my pumpkins in a rectangle so doing one in the round is very different. (Which is nice). Very experienced crocheter too - its just not curving up like yours.

    Love the look of these cute pumpkins! Can you verify - we don’t turn after joining the 2nd color and chaining 3 (beginning of round 4) - the way it shows in all the other rounds? In the video, it looks like you chain 3 with the second color and then skip a stitch and then begin the first hdc (without a turn)? Thanks!

    • @prettydarnadorable
      @prettydarnadorable  2 роки тому

      You don’t need to turn. As long as you keep turning after your first textured round you will be good. Hope this helps! So glad you like them.

    Ohmygosh, these are stunning! I followed along with your video, making the medium size, and the printed pattern for reference. I found a few instructions a bit off, but figured it out once I got going. Those dang seam joins get me every time … but that’s not exclusive to your pattern - it’s a ‘me’ thing 😂 What threw me was when to turn or just keep going in a spiral - the video and written pattern was conflicting. Also, when I’d be just listening and crocheting, and not watching, and I’d hear you say “yarn over and chain one” …I’d have to back up and see what I missed = just “chain one”. Otherwise, I adore this pattern and will be making a LOT of these beauties this season. By the way, your voice is so soothing and encouraging - I look forward to more projects to come! 🎃

      Hey Karen thank you sooo much for the feedback I really appreciate the time you took to write it up. I can definitely get on autopilot after making so many of them so a fresh eye and EAR really helps. I will have a read and listen this weekend and try to make the pattern clearer. Thank you so much again - truly it is because of people taking the time that help me improve. xo

    These are the cutest pumpkins ever. Even though I'm a beginner, I know all of these stitches. I got to the point where I did 1 row of the half double crochet, chain, skip, repeat but on the 2nd row of this pattern after I changed color, my stitch did not pull up to the height of my round. Do you know what I could have done wrong? I'm going to keep trying because I love these!!! Thank you

    I don't know why, but I'm finding it hard to find the top of the stitch to go into after turning the work. Which side of the stitch are you going into, left or right?

    • @prettydarnadorable
      @prettydarnadorable  Рік тому

      Some times you need to shift your stitches to find the top loops. The right side of the stitch from the row below the last row done should be facing you.
