I really like your farm fresh pumpkin crochet pattern. So far I have made four pumpkins with your pattern. I used two strands of worsted weight (of different colors) yarn and a size 8 mm crochet hook and did as many rows my yarn stash would accommodate. They all turned out so great and I’m just really thankful that you came out with the pattern. Thank you so much!
I never thought of crocheting pumpkins. I did!! They look so cute and the pattern makes them look like i bought them from a catalog. Thank you for this beautiful pattern.
Thank you for so much for this great tutorial. I am making these for my daughters baby in October for a photo shoot my first one came out terrific thank you I love this pattern.😊
Thank you so much for this video! I’ve been looking for a good pumpkin tutorial that didn’t necessarily work in the round & that also looked modern!! Gonna go get my pumpkin on!
Thank you for this video. I made so many crocheted pumpkins last year but I love this pattern stitch. Your tutorial was very clear and easy to follow. Starting my 2nd one.
I loved this video and I am making my second one ❤ I used a cinnamon stick for the stick on the top of the pumpkin it worked really well and smells so good! Thank you 😊
Ohmigosh! 😍 I *love* this pattern! I’ve made 4 pumpkins this weekend…. different sizes and yarns. They work up SO quick, and are SO beautiful with the texture from the stitch! Thank you SO much for this pattern and the wonderful video tutorial! I’m a new subscriber!
What a beautiful and simple pattern. I absolutely love it! Making it right now! I've made a lot of pumpkins this season, many different styles and patterns - this is definitely one of the prettiest and easiest! Thank you for sharing and for your clear and concise instructions! Subscribed! :)
@@TheTurtleTrunk I wish there was a way to post pictures on UA-cam, so I could show you! They came out beautifully, and out of all of the different types of crocheted pumpkins I have out in display around the house, those are the prettiest! Most likes on my posts too! Such a beautiful stitch!
Great pattern, but I'm intrigued with your crochet hook. What brand is it please? It looks like an ergonomic style. I see you hold your hook like a pencil, I hold mine like a knife.
Hi! These are an old set of cheap hooks that honestly weren't great, but now I use Clover Amour hooks, which look similar to this and they're my favorite! They're super comfortable and great quality. Here's a link to them: amzn.to/3E9UBQD
Ok, I just bearly bumped into this video, and I have a question for you that I hope you can answer. I don’t have any bulky yarn, so for the medium size, can I combine 2 strands of yarn together? And for the large pumpkin, can I use 3 strands of 4ply yarn together? I’m excited to try this ☺️
I am a crocheter since 2010 but I don't know If i made any mistakes because the results are not very good... you make sc2tog but the holes are to big . And it was difficult for me to close the top gap and give a pumpkin shape... I was loving the idea of picot but idk what went wrong 😂
I find I work with a right tension especially when working the picot stitches, so either having a tighter tension or using a smaller crochet hook may help with making them gaps not so big and closing up the top
Depends on the size you are making. I was able to get 1 pumpkin out of the super bulky yarn, 2 out of the bulky yarn, and 3 out if the medium weight yarn.
I used the exact same number stitches and rows for all sized pumpkins, but I used different yarn weights which made them different sizes. If you're using one yarn weight and want different sizes you can adjust the size by: chaining any even number and working an even number of rows! Hope that helps!
Your pumpkin is very cute. The moss stitch worked up perfect. I had a problem hearing you, could you please speak a little louder? Thank you for sharing your techniques.
Hi! Thank you so much! And I apologize for the poor sound quality. This is an older video of mine, from when I was still learning the best way to edit my videos, unfortunately the audio wasn't loud enough, but I cannot change it. I'm happy to say all my more recent videos have much better sound quality though! Thank you for the feedback!
Hello, I’ve tried this pattern 6 times and it never has the texture yours does. I’ve slowed the video down. Paused after every stitch to make sure I’m doing the half double correctly and I can’t get the pattern to look ANYTHING like this. Mine just looks like a messy straight line. I was so excited about this but I don’t see what else I can do to get it to look like the video.
Hi! The texture of this design comes from working the slip stitches and half double crochet stitches of one row into the slip stitches and half double crochet stitches from the previous row. Each row needs to start with a slip stitch, then repeat *half double crochet, slip stitch* across, making sure your last stitch is a slip stitch. If you’re doing this part correctly, your yarn, hook, or tension could be the reason yours doesn’t look like mine. The texture is going to be more defined the tighter the fabric is, so if yours is very loose, you can try tightening your tension or going down a hook size or two. Hope that helps!
wonderful presentation of instructions WITH A MOST PLEASANT VOICE AND CADENCE!!! Grateful - thank you!!!
Thank you! I'm so happy you enjoyed it!

I love this pumpkin pattern! Are we allowed to sell physical items of your designs if we give credit back to you?
Hi! Thank you! And yes you absolutely can sell your finished items with my pattern!
Could someone tell me how many pumpkins you can get out of a skein.
Depends on the size you are making. I was able to get 1 pumpkin out of the super bulky yarn, 2 out of the bulky yarn, and 3 out if the medium weight yarn.
Great tutorial, but how many chains did you use for the medium and large pumpkins?
