I don't like the SHORT handle razors. I'd rather get the Merkur with the Barber Shop handle which is longer. Everybody is different tho & that's the fun of shaving, finding what YOU like!
shave with any bar soap? cut the bar soap up, put in a mug, cover the soap with a small amount of water, microwave for a minute or so? if it Foam up stop. let cool you just went it to congeal' place in the sun, until soap hardens Larry
just got an open comb from the 20s. more blade feel and a very close cut. with a good shaving soap open combs are great

That is cool. But using bar soap can dry out the skin for some people. But that is still a cool thing to try. Thank you for the comment.
