Process for buying a gun in a store:
    1. Enter store
    2. Select the firearm you like
    3. Full out 4473 for the background check
    4. If approved, pay for the firearm, take possession of the firearm, exit store.
That's in most of the states. Some states have much more restrictive processes for exercising your rights, with many more hurdles and hoops to jump through

It's a little more complicated than that, you left out a few essential steps...
      5. Purchase ammunition, spare magazines, bipods, slings, scopes, holsters, and any other things you now need.
      6. Find a way to hide/explain your purchase to your significant other. Note that in much of the country, with certain women, you run the risk that they will assume the firearm is a gift and keep it themselves.(I lost a single action revolver that way.)
      7. clean and inspect the firearm.
      8. Go to the range and spend a small fortune on ammo breaking the new gun in.
      9 Clean the gun again.
      10. Start looking for what gun you want to buy next.

When he said how great capitalism is, it hit hard. A lot of people in the U.S hate on capitalism but it has really changed so many peoples lives. This really gives me a better appreciation of America. So many people have been able to go from living a life of starvation or oppression to living a better life. Even people who already live here can do even better than the generation before them. You don't have to be what your parents were. It's the beauty of America. I really believe this is one of the greatest countries in the world. Anyone who has immigrated here has a wonderful appreciation of this country. It's sad some people don't love this country as much as them.

We have unlimited potential simply due to the fact that we are Americans. I'm not a violent person but I get so angered by my fellow countrymen trashing this wonderful experiment that I want to punch someone. I feel the same reaction towards those that are too lazy to take advantage of the opportunities that our country provides. I pulled myself out of the barrio through hard work, earning a scholarship, taking advantage of educational grants, and completing a degree. More hard work got me into medical school and an income bracket that allows me to live a comfortable life. Not everyone can become a doctor, but every US citizen has the opportunity to improve their station in life. Sadly, fewer and fewer are grabbing those opportunities, instead wanting the govt to provide the bare necessities to simply exist. Unless we change it, that mindset will kill our country.

@@digitalmdrealmd9124 You're absolutely right. I believe there is so much opportunity for so many people but people aren't willing to take the risk anymore. I knew someone a few years ago who had the opportunity to go to college to get a Batchelor's degree on a scholarship. He chose to work for minimum wage instead. He could have worked part-time and done college because he was still living with his family and they were doing fine with him already doing part-time work. He is very smart and probably would have done great in college. So many people don't have the opportunity to go to college but want to. I think it's sad that some people don't. It's a chance for a better future. I don't understand why someone wouldn't want to get a degree.

So many visitors to the U.S. are interested in shooting guns. We had three Japanese men come to dinner at our home, they were co workers of my husband. None of them spoke english, but they did communicate they wanted to shoot guns. My husband took them to our back property with our sons and let them all shoot different guns. He said they liked the hand gun much more than the long guns. They wanted pictures of themselves shooting to take home. It seemed so strange to see the excitement they felt about doing something we take for granted and I felt very grateful to live in a free country.

I don’t like these people mostly the women. She is a first generation immigrant and he is fresh off the boat. At the end of this video she tries to pull at your heart talking about lots of people like that man and how we should be loving and open our borders ect. She also talks about her parent’s great sacrifices to move here when she was small. Never anything about how thankful she is for all the people that sacrificed their lives ect. You’re a mopey push over. That man can cry about food his country ect. He is a grown able body man that can stand up and fight for all those kids there, he can grow food help fix and build his country. I know many immigrants that don’t give a beep about America or Americans at all in this country, they scream this is an Indian home or a Muslim home, they will not fight for this country. They call whites pig butts. How disgusting Americans are how we smell cuz pork ect. They don’t care about America they are not grateful, they are here just to suck it dry. These are millionaire immigrants too. They came with nothing worked hard, point and laugh at your poor …beep… most millionaires in America are not American. Instead he is going to make sad videos. Hubby wants to talk got to go. You are wrong. You only know what they say to your face not behind your back. The north Asian women marry Americans for $$$$… passport bros. 6:17 it depends on the state. There are different types of fishing licenses, fresh water, salt water, shore fishing, and boat fishing, depending on the state can be all separate. I.e. California, if you are fishing off pears and petties, you don't need a licenses, but on shore and a boat you need to get a fishing license. Florida is similar, but there are some different regulations because there's brackish water with both salt water and fresh water fish. There are also seasons to which type of fish you are able to catch and keep as well as size requirements and count limits. If you're getting an out of state license be sure to read the literature of the regulations when you get your license. They can change year to year as well.

4:12 my husband's family is from Cuba. To understand what communism does, you have to see it, but because of the crushing control of communism, they don't let you. There is no private industry, only government control, so stores like this do not exist and cannot exist in a communist regime. In the grocery stores there is only 1 brand of rice, and a limit to how much you are allowed to buy. A store like this is a direct threat to a communist regime because it is a physical representation of how limited an "all powerful " government is.

All these people who are screaming about things so loudly here (for example Palestine) think that every place is just like the US and they would be treated the same way. Sadly, if most of those people went elsewhere, they would find out very quickly they would be beaten or even killed for things that are mostly accepted here. You will quickly find that the guns in video games are not in any way connected to the real world.
Start with a rifle in 22LR, the most common gun in the US. There will be little if any recoil. Then go to an AR-15, this is also an 22, but it is somewhat more powerful. Mind you, the video games tell you that this is the ultimate weapon, but that is false. Then, if the range will support it, fire an AR-10 or a FAL in 308. Then you will know what a full power military rifle is like to shoot.
For handguns, again start out with a 22LR in a pistol. A Colt or Ruger would be a good choice. Then go to the 9x19 (mind you, there are close to 100 9mm pistol cartridges) in a full size gun, say a Glock. Follow that up with a real gun, that being a 1911A1 in 45 ACP.
The final step of course would be to go to a shotgun in 12 gauge. Start with the light loadings and finish up with a 3 inch buckshot load.
At that point you will then have some concept of guns.

The last time I got my fishing license here it was around $45 for the whole season. If you plan to eat what you catch and go often, it's VERY worth it.
The reason there is a need for the license and fees are to help keep the fish and game healthy and well stocked so people can continue to enjoy it in the future.

These were brought back to the job site, sawed lengthwise in two, the inner wood was hollowed-out to fit around the steel support columns in the store, then coated with a flame-retardant varnish ( the one and only time I "painted" trees). I especially recall the architect in charge complaining that the painters were actually doing "too good" of a job instead of making things look old and worn. I explained to him that our training has always been centered around making things "look good" and he would just have to be patient and keep driving home the point.

I'm from here in the US, and had an awesome much older brother that got me started me on hunting and fishing pretty early. Growing up around guns, I've been comfortable around them all my life and they're pretty much a hobby.
I use them for hunting, recreational shooting, self-defense at and away from home, etc. While not all states require a permit to carry concealed, my state does. Needless to say, I have said permit and carry almost every time I leave the house. It's kind of like buckling your seatbelt, as it's something you hope to never have to rely on but will be glad you have it if needed.
I always have to keep that in mind when I see people from other parts of the world where they're heavily restricted, and understand their surprise or outright fear of them. Something I can't relate to but have to make an effort to understand.
You can buy a firearm here if you are a legal resident, even if you're not a citizen. My ex-wife was a legal resident from Canada, but never wanted to apply for citizenship and was able to buy her handgun.
If you meet that criteria, you fill out a federal form 4473 (something you do NOT lie on). On that form you have to answer a lot of questions regarding drug use, legal status, your criminal record, if the gun is for you and not someone else, etc.
It varies from state to state, but at the very least they'll then run a background check on you. You cannot take possession of the firearm until you pass your background check.
Many states have a waiting or "cooling off" period before they'll give you the gun. For those states that have them it's usually 3 to 10 days. In a "free" state like Idaho, there is no waiting period.
When you do go shooting, safety will obviously be the top priority. Then it's a matter of getting comfortable with them, and you'll really come to enjoy shooting.

    1) You will need to buy a fishing license to fish fresh or ocean waters from the state. It's really not expensive. Roughly usually less than $100 for an annual license.
    2) To purchase a gun, yes you will need to fill out some paperwork, which only takes about 20-30min. Once done, you can walk out with it, however, some states require a waiting period of a few days to a few weeks, depending on the type.

@6:23 most states in the US require a saltwater fishing license to fish in the ocean (from the shore or a dock) but it is very simple and cheap to get in most states. Fishing in lakes or ponds (off private property) generally requires a fishing permit, however, they are also generally very cheap and easy to get. In most states you can simply apply and pay a small fee online. I believe if you went out from shore a certain distance no permit is needed for non-commercial fishing, however, I may be mistaken about that.
@12:20 Purchase of handguns varies by states. Some states have a "waiting/cooling-off" period which means you apply and then you can come back in three days or a week (or whatever the waiting period is in that state) and then pickup your handgun or other firearm. However, in a significant number of states you can complete the paperwork and background check and walk out with your firearm in about an hour. Some states also place a restriction on how many firearms you can purchase in a certain time period (eg: one firearm every three weeks), unless you are a license firearm dealer. I'm a retired former local cop and former federal agent and in most states I worked (Missouri, California, Virginia), every time I purchased a firearm I was in and out in an hour. I don't think I actually purchased any firearms while I was in California though although I did sell one there and that required that a firearms dealer act as the intermediary for the transfer. That's not the case in many other states for a private sale.
@13:30 As a non-US citizen you can absolutely rent and shoot firearms at a range in the US. You just can't legally buy one or leave the premises with one.

The most restrictive experience I've had buying a gun was Hawaii. Handguns require a purchase permit for each handgun. Long gun permits are valid for 30 days, and do not have a limit on # of purchases.
    1) you go to the store and pick out the handgun you want, then fill out a purchase permit application form for that specific gun.
    2) you take the form to the police department, get finger prints taken and pay a fee ($10 @ that time) for a handgun purchase permit.
    3)wait 10 days.
    4) pick up the handgun purchase permit from the police department and take it to the gun store.
    5) pay for the handgun, and fill out the federal form 4473. Wait for your NICS check to be approved, then you can leave with the handgun.
    6) take your permit and the handgun back to the police department so they can inspect and photograph it for the gun owners file that they maintain on you. Now you're done with the process.

Secondly, as for buying a gun, in most states at least, you have to be not just a U.S. citizen but a citizen of that state with a valid ID. You then have to fill out the background check and be approved before you buy it. However, in some states buying a long gun (rifle) may be easier than in others. Generally, you have to be 18 to buy a long gun and 21 to buy a handgun. But, yes, laws will vary by state.

So for fishing at least for my state of Illinois in America. For park ponds, you dont need a "Fishing license". A fishing license you get at any bass pro, walmart etc at the counter. Usually will cost you like $14. This allows you to fish national parks for most fish, if your going for trout and salmon you need an additional stamp. Theres rules and regulations to stop overfishing so like pounds and size matter, and theres a catch limit per fish type. Saltwaterfishing is a whole different license from freshwater, due to me being inland this is the extent of my knowledge. Love the genuine curiosity in the videos ✌🏻

A trip to Bass Pro or to Cabela's either one, is not a shopping excursion. It is a pilgrimage. Our nearest Cabela's is in Gonzales, about 60 miles from my house in New Orleans. It is an all day affair. The dioramas and aquariums alone are captivating. For anyone having an appreciation or proclivity to the fishing or shooting sports, or camping, hiking, paddling, virtually any outdoor activity, it is Disneyland, with rods, reels, guns, tents, hats, boots, and boats. Like many things in America, it is huge by intent, not simply by circumstance. It isn't a shop. It is an attraction, a shrine, a destination. It was absolutely mind blowing the first time I ever entered one, so I can only imagine seeing one through the eyes of a person who had grown to adulthood having never even been inside a walmart superstore or an American supermarket.
Yes, to go fishing in the sea, there is little to do but just go. Your boat must have appropriate documentation and safety equipment, of course, and you will need a fishing license. But assuming it is your boat, you don't need specific permission for a fishing trip.
Yeah many of those boats are priced into the six figure range.
Buying a gun from a licensed dealer in most states is pretty simple. You go in, fill out a form 4473, the clerk runs a background check that takes usually only a few minutes, you pay, and they wrap up your gun (with a warning to not open the box and play with it until you are outside, a potentially fatal lapse in judgement) and away you go. Buying ammo is even less paperwork, as in zero. Show your drivers license, usually, that's it. holsters, parts, upgrades, cleaning equipment or other accessories, nothing, just pay. A few states with more tyrannical leftist governments deeply restrict what sort of firearms you may buy, regulate how you may buy them, and even outlaw private sales between individuals. Most states do not even outlaw ownership of automatic weapons (machine guns) although there are federal regulations that make this difficult. Likewise, most states do not prohibit private sales between individuals. In 29 out of the 50 states, you do not even need a license to legally carry any concealed firearm that you may legally own. Certain individuals may not possess a firearm, such as convicted felons, those who have been declared mentally unfit, and there are age requirements for possession or for purchasing from a licensed dealer. We have restrictions, which are of course all in violation of our Constitution, but it is nowhere near as restrictive in the UK or in other countries that are even worse, like of course Cuba.
By all means, visit a range, preferably one that has rental guns, along with a knowledgeable person who can coach you on safety and operation of a firearm. If you are at all curious, it will be a life changing experience for you. Even people who have been taught to hate or fear guns, all leave the firing line with big grins on their faces. Honestly, shooting is about the most fun you can have with your pants on.

But other states, generally in the south, you can basically walk in and buy a gun like you would a pack of gum.

On private land you can fish.
In order to fish off a boat in the ocean. You need a Captain registered with the coast guard. Which is basically boat traffic cops, boat highway patrol, search & rescue, and domestic threats for the ocean. This actually requires sailing knowledge and navigation skills but is certainly attainable. Most people "charter" a "charter captain" or captain for hire.

If you are fishing for certain special fish like Salmon you have to pay a $10 fee and then tell them how many you caught at the end of the year so they can use that data to regulate the fish population. There are dicounts and free fishing days. Also you don't need a license to fish off an ocean pier, you do need one if you are going out in a boat to fish. You can pay for an ocean tour boat to take you out ocean fishing and teach you what to do.

In America to narrow it down rifles and shotguns (long guns) are 18+ age and usually don't require a permit just fill out paperwork, complete a FFL and background check. Pistols require you to be 21 years or older and probably about a quarter of states require a permit for pistol. States like Florida have a waiting period to pick the gun up after you bought it so that's like a week give or take I forget exactly.

To buy a gun. It is different depending on the state you are in. In Texas, you go to the store, find what you want, fill out form 4473. The dealer takes the information from the form and calls for a back ground check. Sometimes this takes about 30 minutes, and at times you have to wait three business days. If you get cleared, or there is no reply within three days you can go pick up the gun. Now some stores impose a longer wait time than three days to get an answer back. If buying from an individual no paper work, no back ground check and no wait period.

I was happy to hear your comment about appreciating what a blessing it is to be born in a prosperous, free county. It’s easy to forget what a win in the life lottery that is. I’m so grateful to have been born in the USA, as I’m sure others born in liberty rich nations are as well. It’s easy to take that for granted, when you sulk about inconsequential, petty everyday things. Videos like this are a good reminder about what’s really important.

I am a FFL holder and sale firearms. It depends on the state you are in.
In general - for a pistol or revolver you have to take possession in the state you live in. For example you could buy a pistol in Tennessee but it would have to be shipped to a FFL in the state you live in.
Long guns - this gets kind of funky. You can buy and take possession in a connecting state that borders the state you live in. For example if you are from Arkansas and buy a long gun in Tennessee you can take possession of it. If you are from Arkansas and buy a long gun in Alabama you will have to have it shipped to a FFL in Arkansas.
Now some states have a waiting period before you can take possession of any firearm you purchase. You buy it and fill out the paperwork and once approved you have a waiting period before you can take possession.

If you want to fish while you're visiting in the US, just hire a local guide. Almost everywhere you go in the US, if there is anything to do with getting outdoors there are local guides who are typically licensed, safe, the works. They can take you to some AMAZING places and you'll have an awesome time. Pick and choose carefully, and don't forget almost anything you catch/kill you often have the option to eat it that night or some places will, for the right price, ship it home (most places can ship to just about anywhere in the world, with some restrictions).

In international waters you don’t need a fishing license. But in US waters in the ocean or river you have to have a fishing license. And salt water and fresh water are 2 different licenses.

The process of buying a gun is different from state to state. I live in North Carolina. For my entire life, you could walk into a store and buy a rifle or shotgun, with no permit required. For a handgun, it used to require a valid pistol purchase permit, or concealed carry permit to buy. These permits are issued by the sheriff of the county you live in. Once you had your permit, you can purchase a handgun. For a purchase permit, it required a background check performed by the sheriff’s department. For concealed carry, it requires the background check, a class, and having your fingerprints put on file with the sheriff’s department.
As of last year, our state government did away with the requirement for a pistol purchase permit. The reason being, is because at the time of purchase, a federal background checks is ran, making the state background check redundant. So as of now, anyone who can legally own a firearm can go into a store and buy one whenever they like.

It's about five minutes of paperwork and maybe 30 minutes waiting for the background check to go through. Some states have a waiting period between purchase and when you receive it slightly more paperwork and a more thorough background check and you can get short barreled rifles, short barreled shotguns, destructive devices and machine guns if you can afford them

I'm fortunate enough to live in the place where Bass Pro is headquartered and has their flagship store (Springfield, Missouri). I sometimes go there just to hang out, people watch or go to the large aquarium ( i think it is the largest indoor one in the US). They also have a gun shooting range right within the store. BTW, there is a really cool gun store about 25 min. outside of Springfield called Mountainside Outfitters - you gotta check it out. Every kind of gun, custom guns, flame throwers, swords, small cannons, and other weapon known to man. The place gets filled up on most Staurdays. Be sure to check out the "decorated" ATF van

12:15 it depends on the state. Generally, as a US Citizen who isn't a felon, you walk in like any other store. Once you decide on one to purchase, you fill out a form 4473 which is for a NICS check. The store will immediately take that form and either digitally or on the phone contact a division of the FBI with your form info, which they will then tell the store you're legal to own a firearm. From there, you just pay and leave. You still have to respect all other laws, such as leaving the firearm in your trunk if you don't have a license to carry.

To answer your Fishing question, Yes, you can just go out on the ocean and fish. Most US states I know of you do need a fishing license to do it legally, but they're only about $15-40 per year depending on the state(unless you live in California where its over $165 for a non-resident). In a lot of US states if you're Native American you get it all for free.

One restriction of gun purchases most people don’t know. Is you have to be a resident of that state to make a “pistol” purchase. That being said, you can have a pistol shipped to your local licensed dealer to make the purchase that way.
Long guns (ARs/AKs/Shotguns/Bolt Action…etc) can be purchased outside of the state you’re a resident of (but not all stores do it).
If it’s a private sale of a firearm, it might not matter, never done one so I’m not sure.

Cool thing about the fish tank is you can hold the lures and baits you wanna buy up to the glass and kinda gauge which fish like what.
If you got your US citizenship then the firearm purchasing process(depending on state) would just be a form and a 2 day or so wait period. It may even be faster now but that used to be the expected wait time to actually receive your gun. HOWEVER. Black powder guns aren't considered firearms and are completely legal to just buy and sell as if they were toy guns. They'll even mail the things to your door

In Florida you need a saltwater fishing license (boating) which cost $17 per year for a resident and $47 for nonresident.Unless you are fishing from a pier or the shoreline in which case NO license is required. For gun purchases you would need to have officially recognized ID then fill out a government questionnaire form and have a Federal background check which usually takes a few minutes. If purchasing a handgun there is a mandatory 3 day waiting period unless you have a CCW license or active duty personnel. All long guns there is no waiting period but some retailers like WalMart have their own waiting period policies of 3-5 days.

To buy from a store you go there choose what you want they hand you a form 4473 which you then fill out completely with NO abbreviations. They then check the form to make sure you haven't admitted to anything not allowed then they call into the NICS system which will run your name against a list of prohibited purchasers. If it comes back clean you're good to go and pay for it. In some states you need an ID card to purchase or own one, some states require permits for pistols.

Each state has its own Game and Fish department that regulates licensing. You would need to get a license from the state where you intend to do offshore fishing. I lived in Miami for three years. Some the most genuine and kind people were the Cubans. Plus I miss their food and coffee!!!

I worked at Bass Pro as a cashier after having my youngest. Fantastic job and company. Please visit a couple when you come to the States. Each has the flavor of the area and you should be able to get a temporary fishing and/or hunting license for your visut. Even better you will definitely meet some ppl that will happily take you out on their boat or to go hunting and then enjoy homemade treats. ❤❤❤❤
Also fun fact trivia: in Florida, if you are on food stamps you do not need a fishing or hunting license, you are encouraged to feed yourself. 😂

To purchase fire arms are different in certain states. I’m a gun owner in California and you can’t just go into a store that sells guns, buy 1 and leave with it the same day. There’s a few steps in purchasing any fire arm in California. You have to fill out some paper work for gun ownership and a test for gun safety and If you pass all the requirements in owning 1, they still want you to wait 10 days to actually take 1 home. The 10 days waiting period is a dealer transfer of owner ship, that has to be approved by the depart of justice. This is only if you’re buying a gun for the first time? Also you can just buy ammo, you need to show your gun permit and valid drivers license or id. I’m not sure how it is in other states but California is super strict, well at least in Los Angeles County.

In America you can get a fishing license from your state and fish in almost any public waterways in your state. Its usually cheap. You can buy it for one day, a few days, a year, or lifetime. If you have private property with a pond or lake you can usually fish there without a license. If you are on the ocean and you go out to international waters you can fish out there no problem. The only way you get in trouble is if you come into port with too many fish. Over a certain amount and you need a commercial fishing license. This is to keep our fish populations sustainable.
