It's not the headlights that keeps preventing your turret to traverse without elevating it, but it's the S-Mine at the corner of the tank. The Tiger E don't have those S-Mine which makes the traverse a little bit better.

Good guide is that ur corner is pointed at the enemy but tiger has the annoying headlight that do not let ur gun depress near the corners so be careful. I know my explanation is not great but there are plenty of videos on how to angle.

When I had the Tiger1 a few years ago...WT matchmaking bias was extreme. So I was facing T29s, T28s, IS2 Mod 1944..these 3 in EVERY GAME, and even T44 variants rarely. I got the Tiger 2 at 6.3 hoping it would balance it out. But then the IS3s came rolling I'm every damn game. So at that point I just uninstalled the game

Angle ze box tank, and use it like a sniper. That's where the Tiger shines; stay back and snipe. It doesn't have the manueverability nor the turret traverse speed to brawl in tight quarters, and it's armor, while better than a lot of the tanks it faces, can still be penned pretty damn easily up close and square on. So stay back. Camp a little bit, angle her and let the 88 do what it does better than any other gun it will face - snipe!

When I play the tiger 1 most of my deaths are either from aircrafts or from hellcats shooting me from the side so yes the tiger is a really good tank its just that German players including but not limited to me are bad players
agreed... when I started out and didn't angle, I kept on getting destroyed quickly but if I didn't act like an idiot and hid the side plate while angling, I could get 6 kills without much hassle
When its angled..it will literally bounce practically everything. The only danger is the neck like every tank. And for the H1 the Hull is weaker. But even for the E.. its only reinforced with 2 small areas on both sides of the weakspots but they make a huge difference. I learned to angle them too so....just give it a wiggle just before the enemy shoot. Now the whole tank is a bouncer I unlocked Tiger 1 a few years back when it was uptiered everygame, fighting downtiered T29s, T28s, IS2/Mod 1944, T44s etc...eventually I earned to bully them every game. Flippin heck there were moments where I took a good last stand against several tanks..killing many of them in the process. This tank can take a good beating. Most shots will bounce

My current favourite tank in War Thunder. This has been the best Christmas present War Thunder has given in years. A super tough tank and now everyone will know about its new found strength.
This thing goes from "unpenetrable" to "one shot while angled on the side with empty ammo racks" like nothing else. The 10-20% of matches that work are *übersatisfing* tho, so all worth it.
thats a myth actually. it comes from the fact that Sherman traveled in a minimum of packs of 4 to 5 so when ever they killed a German tank it would be five of them bc that just how they traveled not bc it took all 5 of them to kill the tank

Well tiger fear from world war 2 us highly overstated. Look at the US, they only have 3 recorded encounters with tiger 1s so most people never saw one let alone an actual working one
One of my favorite memories on warthunder was about 2 years or so ago on the map Volokolamsk. Our team (all German) subconsciously without communicating formed a line of Tigers and Panthers on the left side of the map and advanced from tree line to tree and systematically decimated the enemy team in one fluid push While taking almost no losses.

When I play the tiger 1 most of my deaths are either from aircrafts or from hellcats shooting me from the side so yes the tiger is a really good tank its just that German players including but not limited to me are bad players
agreed... when I started out and didn't angle, I kept on getting destroyed quickly but if I didn't act like an idiot and hid the side plate while angling, I could get 6 kills without much hassle
When its angled..it will literally bounce practically everything. The only danger is the neck like every tank. And for the H1 the Hull is weaker. But even for the E.. its only reinforced with 2 small areas on both sides of the weakspots but they make a huge difference. I learned to angle them too so....just give it a wiggle just before the enemy shoot. Now the whole tank is a bouncer
I unlocked Tiger 1 a few years back when it was uptiered everygame, fighting downtiered T29s, T28s, IS2/Mod 1944, T44s etc...eventually I earned to bully them every game.
Flippin heck there were moments where I took a good last stand against several tanks..killing many of them in the process. This tank can take a good beating. Most shots will bounce

Even when I angle I still get 1 shotted so I theres really no excuse I play really slow too and yet I still come across people that one shot me even though I'm like far away it's just stupid if you ask me and I'm not as stupid as some players but still its doesnt make it right for someone oneshotting me from a mile away with something like a standard Sherman or British tank I've tried every angle too and guess what It doesnt work now I dont play the game mostly because I usually get into sweaty sad games for my lvl and kd it's just stupid tbh

Tiger is basically the same as sherman, but with way better armor and slightly less mobility

This thing goes from "unpenetrable" to "one shot while angled on the side with empty ammo racks" like nothing else. The 10-20% of matches that work are *übersatisfing* tho, so all worth it.
1 tiger is worth 5 shermans but there are always six shermans(; 00:00-07:12
thats a myth actually. it comes from the fact that Sherman traveled in a minimum of packs of 4 to 5 so when ever they killed a German tank it would be five of them bc that just how they traveled not bc it took all 5 of them to kill the tank
@@m26pershing98 Well I mean to be fair a single sherman simply cannot win against a tiger alone. At least not in ~95% of realistic engagements. It would probably take a group of 5 (A regiment of Sherman's) to stand good odds against a tiger tank without losses.

@@issacfoster1113 true the Americans ran into 3 tiger tanks in Europe the first time the Shermans won the second time the M26 Pershing lost (it was stuck on rubble R.I.P.) and the 3rd time the Shermans won (the tiger was being loaded on a train so not really fair) and those are the only time us forces ran into tigers in Europe that can be confirmed

alot of people who play tigers usually come up to a sherman with 50mm of real life frontal armor and say "Ah, easy kill" only to bounce off their front plate and get killed by the jumbo shooting into the commander's cupola

One of my favorite memories on warthunder was about 2 years or so ago on the map Volokolamsk. Our team (all German) subconsciously without communicating formed a line of Tigers and Panthers on the left side of the map and advanced from tree line to tree and systematically decimated the enemy team in one fluid push While taking almost no losses.
