I enjoyed seeing the Christmas Market again growing up and living in Nuernberg for 27 years. It would have been nice to see more from the different booth and displays instead of the food. The hand made items are very unique. The Church and the Water fountain are beautiful. I have never seen full meals at the market because there are Restaurants all around it. You stood right in front of one famos one. The “Bratwurst Rössle”. Wish I could have been there too. Greetings from South Carolina, USA
We usually return them for the deposit back. We would love to keep them all, but as full-time travelers keeping them isn't practical sadly. We normally keep a couple small mugs each season and give them to family.😊
Totally disagree! You just didn't find the right stalls for a full meal. There are stalls that sell sausage and potato pancakes as a meal and stalls that sell sausage and Belgium fries as a meal Also- you missed the most famous Nuremberg gingerbread- Schmidt The two you tried are bland and the heart shaped one with the icing is meant to be an ornament - you can eat it, but it's made with ingredients to last a long time as an ornament / So not tasty

Another day, another Christmas market! Do you usually have to return mugs at other Christmas markets or are you able to keep them?

Anytime in the evening is a great time to visit the Christmas markets. The best times would be over dinner 5pm-10pm
