I'm from Mumbai. With regard to our climate. Will touluminas grow well. What about phalaenopsis and Vanda Just bought one each for trial. Tempted to buy more. Will the climate suit it.

Hi di. I am suffering with my tolumnias. They are potted as of now in charcoal. Is it mandatory to mount them? I do not have access to wood block for mounting😢 Should I use CocoHusk or broken clay pot pieces.
Hi dear..it's not mandatory to mount them..but I have had better experience mounting them..and yes u can simply tie your tolus to coco husk or broken pot pieces if u dant have access to wood..they will be fine..🙂🤞
I bought a tolumnia mounted on cork with roots covered in sphagnum moss. The climate here is hot and humid. Should the moss be removed for better air circulation?
I use a little moss while mounting my tolumnias too...it's ok even if u don't remove the moss..just make sure they feel crispy or dry completely before Next watering🙂
For regular watering focus on the roots...if they are mounted and in open area with good air circulation ,then no problem in spraying the Leaves...if they are potted and indoors then better to avoid spraying the leaves(once in a while like once in 10-15 days u may spray the leaves to clean them )🙂👍
I use the same concentration for all my orchids...I go with the label..right now I'm using this ,www.amazon.in/dp/B00VASGL7W?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share It says 1.5-3.5ml per litre ,to be on safer side I use 2.5per litre..plants are tolerating well..will increase slowly to 3.5ml per ltr...earlier the same brand used to advise 5ml per litre and I used to do the same ..so follow label instructions 🙂start at at lower than advised concentration and increase gradually 🙂
U can try to get online from vrindavan garden (Mrs.sandhya Pramod) Also Mrs Rekha Jesudas ma'am...u can find them on Facebook...they have good tolumnias 🙂

Mam, how to care in winter
Almost same routine care..just reduce watering a bit..water only when media is dry.and decrease frequency of fert as well..
Pl tell me ratio of seaweed extract fertilizer per litre for Tolumna orchids, vanda orchids, dendrobium and cateliya orchids madam.
