Thankyou so much for your informative and helpful videos. I am glad to hear that you don’t approve coconut husk. I just received my hard cane Dendrobiums and some vandas. I used bark, some stones, charcoal and a little sphagnum moss on the top. I am hoping they will grow well for me.
Yr videos are so informative.... Thank u... So simple and easy way of keeping orchids alive and healthy... Wish I saw yr channel a while back... I would have saved some of my darling plants.... Any way better late than never.... All the best❤
Hi. I am a bigger. Started about a month or two back with a dendrobium gifted to me. I liked liked the way u explained - very simple and straight. Thks.
Thank you for the videos. I follow all of them. I've newly introduced Orchids in my plant collection and have started with Dendrobium. I ordered seedlings. Just wanted to know how much time it takes for a seedling to become mature (how to know that it has matured) and how long it takes to flower?
Hi Adhyasha, subscriber here I am beginner Archids lover, wached your tips and tricks again, you have guided well, please let me know from where you buy archids
U can add a little sphagnum moss in the media to hold moisture for longer duration and additionally u can try to increase humidity around orchids by putting humidity trays near your orchids (nothing but shallow plate with lots of pebbles and some water)...
Hi! Lovely video. Thank you. I just got my first orchid plant and I don't know what to do with it. It was bought from a local nursery. It had 3 long stems and just one leaf. It has already bloomed in the past. Can you help me? It has good amount of roots and looks healthy to me
Thank u so much 😊❤️that is a topic we should have a seperate video..will try making one..orchid pots and potting media😊 thanks for suggesting... For now remember charcoal, brick pieces and broken clay pot pieces these are the safest in indian climate and almost all types of epiphytic orchids can be grown safely in them..the addition of moss or coir and frequency of watering will vary depending on the water requirements of the orchid and the humidity of the your place🙂👍
Hi Thanks for the upload I wanted to ask a question I bought dendrobium seedlings last yr monsoon. All in good health. No new growth after repotting in charcoal plus coco. In the winter ( which is dry and cold) most plants lost leaves. In summer , same plants showed new growth again. Now after onset of monsoon , temp dropped , and growth has again stalled What should be the approach
I have a dendrobium seedling and it shed some leaves in a week after I got it , I think due to stress. Now slowly it is developing new growth , I want to how long will it be till it gets mature?
Hi...the sellers that I generally buy from are vrindavan orchids (sandhya pramod), Aadi orchids and orchid sellers..I have always had good buying experience with them..
@@adyashasorchiddiaries9550 Very nice information. Thank you for sharing 👏. Ma'am could you please share the contact information of these orchid sellers, so that I can contact for online purchasing 👍🙏
Thank u 😊 u can water once after repotting...and leave it for a couple of days...once it's completely dry u can water again...make sure its in a well ventilated place..🙂 sometimes we clean media before repotting,so media is already wet...if so then skip watering for a couple of days, when media dries..water again🙂👍
You could have dipped both the dendrobiums in pseudomonos flurescense solution before repotting. It is an organic pesticide and it is a good growth promoting agent. .Dosage: Mix 20 grams of pseudomonos in one litre of water. Decant the solution and dip the plant for 5 minutes before planting. Thank you.
@@josejkoonthanam thank you sir🙂❤️was not aware of organic options for bacterial rot and fungal rot...till now sterile scissors and plain water seem to be working just fine for me..but yes there is no harm in trying to explore available options..will see if I can find some locally 🙂👍 thank you for your valuable suggestion🙂🙏

Mam from where do you order these orchids?
I generally buy from Vidhya Arun(Aadi orchids),Sandhya pramod (vrindavan orchids)....they are good reliable sellers..
Like cycle spoke or piece of wire
Very informative, thank you!! Only one question, do we water the orchid once repotted & then keep it aside for a week or so before watering it again??

My dendobium orchid leaves are eaten by some hidden insects not seen in daylight .How to get rid of it Mam?
What it's smell
Mam, can we use metal wire as stake?
Metal will corrode with time..and rust and other substances may damage the roots..

I don’t agree with your assessment that Dendrobiums are “beginner orchids.” This must be an opinion not “fact.
