    Well TY ladies for sharing all of your hard work with us. And half is 68 meals. Which helps me tremendously in seeing your freezer full, because I'd like to do this seasonally for 3 months in each. Seeing your freezer with 68 meals shows me that for 90 meals- 1 additional standing full size freezer should suffice. And perhaps a box freezer (for sides, deserts, etc). Then in my kitchen a large fridge and freezer combo for all of the usual suspects. So thanks for that and I hope your finger gets better quickly! Happy Frozen Holidays!

    Extra chicken to turn into more freezer meals = a blessing! Just a bit more work for more freezer meals is a win in my book. I so need to eat what is in my freezer to make room for lots of freezer meals

    I'm ecstatic I found you two as I am new to freezer meals. I heard about it a lot but never really looked into it. I took part in a supposedly "healthy" freezer meal program last week and it was so ridiculous, there was very little "healthy" about it and we were treated like children. I have no need for this. I can't wait to dive into this one and fill up my freezer. Thanks ladies. You rock!

    I just discovered your channel and I love your energy, creativity and organization! We’re building a house so freezer meal planning is on hold as we’re trying to use up what we have, BUT I can’t want to dive in when we get moved! I have only done a few dishes in the past, but you have expanded my list of ideas! Love how you do these meal planning sessions together! My mom lives with us and I can totally see us knocking out tons of meals. I admire you working through a tendon injury; brings back memories of a laceration I had just a few weeks ago from a tin can. Every time I open a pull top can I can literally feel the pain again! PSA use a utensil when removing contents from a can!

    That Indian chicken is interesting. Here in Australia minced meat is what you call ground beef. However we do have fruit mince that we put in Christmas sweet pies. Never heard of the fruit mince in a curry before very interesting, keen to try!

    New sub here, I like the idea of using freezer bags. They take up less space in the freezer. You are giving me some great ideas of new freezer meals to add to my freezer. Do you cook Lisa’s Pork Chop meal in the crockpot? What would you use the roasted tomatoes sauce for? Are the beef strips cooked? How many servings in most freezer meals? Thank you very much. I’m hoping to make some freezer meals for my kids for Christmas presents and me too. Lol

    • @FreezerMeals101
      @FreezerMeals101  3 роки тому

      This is our first time trying Lisa's Pork Chops so we will likely try one set each in the crock pot and one in the skillet or oven to see which we prefer. The roasted chipotle tomato sauce we will use as a pasta sauce. The beef strips go into the bags raw and will get cooked on the day we serve them. There are an average of 6 serving in our freezer meals. Good luck! Freezer meals would make an incredible Christmas gift. I think it will be well appreciated.

    Hi, just found your channel today. Joined your membership club, excited to try your meals. Question, how do you make those beautiful labels?

    • @FreezerMeals101
      @FreezerMeals101  2 роки тому

      Welcome to the Club! We're so happy to have you. I have good news actually about the labels. We're working on a way to make it so that you can print your own labels in the Club! The technology is proving a little challenging so it might be a few months before all the glitches are worked out and it's available, but we are working on it. In the meantime, in the Club resource section, you can find the printable labels with instructions for certain meals in the ready made meal plans and chicken and beef dump books... but our goal is to make it so you can custom them to the ones you want in the future.

    • @katshomekorner9194
      @katshomekorner9194 3 роки тому

      LOL. I actually know the history behind that sauce's name.
      In the 19th century an English gentleman (sorry, I forget his name) was traveling in Africa. He came across this sauce that he absolutely loved. Fortunately he was able to get the recipe, which he took back home to Worchester. There he got a couple of guys to make the sauce, which involves a lot of fermenting/rotting. The first batch didn't turn out very good, but they kept tweeking the recipe until it came out good.
      Obviously they named the sauce after that town, and it is still made there to this day.

    How was the chicken pot pie filling when thawed? Every time i make my recipe for freezing the filling isn’t as thick as when freshly made.

    • @FreezerMeals101
      @FreezerMeals101  Рік тому

      A little runny. Typically I would make a roux when making it fresh and it's a nice gravy for the pie. That doesn't work well because it separates and gets runny. If you do it with soup instead, it still seems to get a bit runny. I guess, your best option would be heat it and thicken it a bit with some flour or cornstarch before assembling your pie and baking it. We've tried a few different ways and it just seems to be one of those meals that are tough to make into a freezer meal.

    • @FreezerMeals101
      @FreezerMeals101  3 роки тому +1

      Good question. I've never seen Patak's Original Simmer Sauce but it sounds like it would be a fair but thinner than the curry paste we use, so maybe cut back on the other liquid in the recipe a bit.

    I know you guys use cream of mushroom soup a lot but I detest it. I love mushroom but that soup ruins a meal for me. Have you ever substituted something else in place of it? And what? Ideas please.

    • @FreezerMeals101
      @FreezerMeals101  2 роки тому

      Mushroom soup is an easy one because it does all the things: it's creamy, adds a layer of flavour and has some salt in it. If you're not opposed to soups in general, and just don't like mushroom soup, you can try cream of celery or cream of chicken soup. (Edit: someone above mentioned cream of bacon! That would be good!) You'll get the same boost without the mushrooms. If you can't do canned soups at all... then you may need to find something that does those things for you - evaporated milk or heavy cream for something creamy, a bit extra salt, some other spices or even vegetable or chicken broth to add in that layer of flavour that the soup would otherwise provide. Alternatively, you could go an extra step and make a white sauce or a gravy. We don't because it's incredibly time-consuming. You may need to do a bit of trial and error, but I'm sure there are ways to do it without the soup. Good luck!

On mobile, you touch the title of the video under the video and a box opens up. On a computer, under the video, you'll see the title and the start of the description and then you'll see "more" and you'll have to click on the "more" to see the full description.
