What if your behavior turned your ex off and made him lose faith in your relationship and led to his breaking up with you? Should I still not pursue after being broken up with? My boyfriend broke up with me three months ago and after limited contact via texting with my initiation, and two periods of no contact that lasted one and two weeks, he began to warm up to me. He even agreed to get together with me three times, but it was simply physical and he was still emotionally shut down and not ready to talk about us. However, he hasn’t been dating anyone else and he’s just taking time to be alone. I feel that since I previously turned him off with my anxious behavior, it might be better to build a positive rapport with him again. Advice? I also don’t want to make our relationship only a physical one.

One must value him or herself enough to realize; that when someone isn't giving you the respect or attention that you're showing them, it's time to back off. This is why "2 steps forward, one step back" is so critical throughout the dating process; it helps to prevent or correct the imbalances that cause one to over-pursue. But in general, once must value him or herself enough to REALIZE; that if someone doesn't want to even spend time with you; it's time to back off. You should never value someone more than they value you - it will lead to disrespect. Actually my mother told me to blow them off and focus on my goals (medical school) so it was very good advice she also told me to text her very infrequently and let her do the pursuing. Mostly this was indirect advice bc she wanted me to focus on school not women.

Hey Corey, about a week ago my ex of a month and a half broke up with me. I begged and pleaded for her to stay which i knew was a big mistake. I was too much of a nice guy in the relationship but found your work and started using the techniques you use. She seemed a lot happier until out of the blue she left me. I was upset but after the begging and pleading i started the no contact rule and moved on with my life. She started finding out about all the people I have been hanging out with and she also found out about the vacation i just went on. She got jealous and started asking my friends about me and she even told on of my friends that she wants me back. I kept my cool and never texted her until she texted me just a little bit ago.This is the start of a new beginning but thank you for your help!

I know you guys will be mad at me lol, but I broke no contact with my ex and just wanted to basically write a clean slate message telling her I was sorry for my emotional actions during the break up and if she ever wanted to get in touch she knows where to find me, I waited about a month and a half to say it but I feel alot better telling her that. The main reason I did it was because I feel like it's the first step of letting go and not hanging on to the past, so maybe I messed up, maybe not! Who knows. Happy new years! 😊

I was dating this girl on & off for about a year. She would chase me till the end of the World, text me everyday and do it all. We recently broke up. She came back to me after a week of NC & then breaks it off again for the 2nd time by text after the first week of getting back together. Even though her emotions akwahs triggered a response! Instead, what helps me is...sometimes when she gets mad, i calm myself down and say to myself, "I have to keep my center, if thjs wasn't my woman, just some person on the street, I wouldn't let her control mg emotions." Corey, reading a book over and over again will only do so much to help you understand the principles that you outline. If someone doesn't have ample opportunity to learn how to apply them, they will not be fully understood. That is why he keeps asking you the same questions over and over again.

It’s easier said than done, emotions play a high stake after a break up. But you have to stay committed to yourself. Stay in your masculine and centre. Logic over emotion, I’ve read Corey’s book 6 times roughly and I’m quite emotional sometimes. It’s good that I’ve realised and I’m working on it. Be on your purpose. Hey Corey(or anyone else), just here to verify if I'm right. About two videos back, I said that my ex contacted me in person after 30 days of no contact. Told that if she wants to talk about it, then give me a call(which she didn't do). Two days later, we ran into each other and I said "What's up"(just my way of saying "hi") and she just gave me this serious look, gave, a head nod(like "what's up" back), and instead of going back in the same direction she came from, she went another direction to avoid me. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it would seem that she's testing me to see if I would contact her and ask her what's wrong. Either that, or she's mad that I won't give in to her wants and needs. Regardless, I'm still laughing at the whole thing, and it didn't even make me mad. It's her loss, not mine lol.

I need to know if I did the right thing because it was completely unexpected. Pretty much, a woman and I were dating but she broke it off because I was being completely beta. Go no contact. Work on your self worth and self esteem. If you had at least a good relationship with your ex, be sure, at some stage they will eventually do the indirect-direct approach and try to come back. It helps if you are showing how awesome you are, or if they got you on social media, common friends etc. When they start comparing you to others they will realise the mistake in breaking up with you by themselves and only that way, once they do..it is magic. So, 7 year relationship, 5 months breakup, 4 months of no contact, BOOM. She reached out. Handled it great of course,fun,playful, not mentioning anything negative, and she told me everything through text over 2-3 days (had a 1month rebound, 2 months after we broke up) and then travelled to my city and we had amazing sex. Now 3 weeks in, the sex is 2x better than the relationship and it was already awesome, but the tables have turned, she begs for my forgiveness and says she will try and she will wait as long as it takes, words I would have KILLED FOR some months ago, but I am unphased now. Also I am not telling her a thing about MY 5 months. I met women with better connection, and I deserve better. She is trying really really hard tho and I am enjoying it. Whether she achieves it or not.
Even better tip... during the dating process, seek out suitable women to date from a qualified pool. Then do the steps... when you detect genuine crazy behavior, hit it and quit it! After reading your book three times I just bought the audio so I could listen in the car or just give the eyes a break. This story is similar to mine except her mom died suddenly. We had one really good date after that. Then I couldn’t get her out after that. The strange thing is that she would accept a date then cancel but suggest another time. Then cancel again. Hey guys I was hoping to get some insight or some advice on my current breakup situation with my Ex girlfriend. I will try and keep this short and easy to follow. I first met my girlfriend back in January 2010 and we met online. I was from Pennsylvania and she was from Colorado. It started out as a long distance relationship. When we first started talking she full of life, smart, beautiful good personality and overall she was perfect everything I was looking for in someone. The more we started talking the more I wanted to know more about her. Overtime we grew closer and really started to bond on a more deeper level. We continued talking and communicating for years. I would fly out and visit her every now and than whenever I had the chance to. She became my best friend someone I could trust and confine in. It wasn't until mid July 2014 I asked her out and we started dating. Yes the long distance was really hard at first it was definitely a challenge for the both of us but we did our best to get through it. We both have sacrificed a lot just trying to be together. My girlfriend and I have been dating for a little over a year now and this past Summer I moved out to Colorado to stay with her and her family. I was nervous and excited to see where this road was going to take us. After all the long months and years of not being physically together we were finally going to be together. I left Pennsylvania and moved out to Colorado in beginning of March 2015. The first few months were really good. Everything was going the way we both have wanted it to and expected it to it was almost perfect. We have talked about getting married and having children someday. It was a real serious relationship and I have never felt this way with anyone else ever before it was absolutely beautiful in everyway. Than a few months later things between us started falling apart. We started growing distant from each other, arguing and fighting quite often there was also a lot of stress going on with her family issues and money etc. It started getting to the point where it was beginning to be to much for the both of us but as much as we hated arguing and fighting we still tried our best to stay together and try and get past all of our issues that we were having. For a while we were doing pretty good but than not long after the fighting continued and we just couldn't stop. Near the end of August/beginning of September I was fed up with all of the craziness and decided to pack up and head back home. Continuing....
+Juwan Hooven I realize when I went back home that I made the biggest mistake of my life. I made a stupid impulsive decision without really thinking about how it was going to affect our relationship. Before I left my girlfriend and I came to a understanding that we were going to take a break for a while and try and focus on ourselves for a little bit. So we both agreed on that but when I went back home a few weeks in I hear from all of her family that she immediately starts fucking around with all of these guys and going out and staying out late having sex etc. That had been going on for a few weeks after I left and there was nothing I could do about it because I'm the one who made a mistake and left. A few weeks go by and I am a emotional wreck I couldn't really sleep or eat I couldn't stop crying when I was at work I tried to do my best to hold myself together. Some nights I couldn't stop thinking about her. I felt so hurt and broken inside and so alone I thought about suicide a few times if I am going to be honest. I have never felt pain like this ever in my life and I never want to feel it ever again. I kept blaming myself for leaving when things got bad and was willing to do whatever it took to try and salvage and fix our relationship because I loved her the way that I did. We kept in contact a little bit during the time I was back in PA. We would talk every so often. For a little while things were starting to look up. She would call me some nights and we would stay up late talking about how much we missed each other and that she was still conflicted on weather or not we should get back together. She has told me that its hard for her to sleep at night because I'm all that she thinks about and that even when she's with other guys that I am still in the back of her mind constantly. She has also told me that if and when I come back out to Colorado that we should take things slow date non exclusively and than later on eventually get back into our relationship. In a lot of what she kept telling me she got my hopes up a little bit.

I was relieved and was still willing to do anything to try and fix on work on our relationship. So not long after I had already planned on going back out there to try and see if I could somehow salvage our relationship because I still loved and cared for her the way that I did. I had booked a flight for October 6th to head back out to Colorado. Knowing full well of the situation that we were both in. But I was still determined to try and get her back. About a week before I go back out there she calls me and tells me that she met this guy that she's been working with and they've been talking and she really likes him and he asked her out and she said yes. My heart nearly sank and everything that I thought I knew I didn't know anymore. But even after hearing that my heart still didn't want to give up on her so I still decided to go out there even if she was with someone else. I moved back out here in the beginning of October I had been staying with a good friend of her Mom's that I knew well. Her whole family loves me to death and they still want us to get back together and they haven't been happy with her actions and the way she's been treating me. Some of them even tell me to just move on but Idk yet only time will tell I guess. I saw and talked with my Ex a few times since I've been here. It's been hard knowing that she's with someone else but we're still friends and she needs some time and space away from me right now so I am going to respect that. But recently her Bf broke it off with her a week before Halloween. And she called me on Halloween night and wanted me to stop by her place and bring some alcohol over. I had nothing else better to do so I went over her place. We had a really good time just talking and hanging out and enjoying each other's company while drinking. I ended up spending the night over there and later that night we talked some more. She told me that she still thinks about me everyday and that its hard for her to let me go. I told her a lot of the same things. It was nice being able to reconnect with her on that level again I've missed it and I've missed her. We started kissing and getting close and believe it or not we ended up having sex. I probably shouldn't of done that because I felt like for her as much as she wanted it I somehow knew that it was going to be a mistake.

I was a little upset by it but I accepted it. Before I left later that day I told her that I understand why things are the way that they're now and that I would still like to be friends with her. I still love and care about her and that I will give her as much time and space away from me as she needs. She agreed and accepted it too. There are no hard feelings and right now I am going to give her the time and space that she needs. I won't contact her unless she contacts me first. The last time I saw her was on Sunday November 1st. I am going to wait atleast 30 days without no contact and contact her again on December 1st and try and see where she's at with everything. I am going to give this one last chance but if she doesn't want to make this work anymore than I won't stay out here any longer and just move back home. Atleast I had to try and I don't regret it. She has told me one thing after another and I don't have time to be playing this back and forth game anymore. She's told me that theres a good chance that she might break up with her Bf and get back together with me and that if we're meant to be that everything will work itself out. So idk I guess we'll see what happens. Either way whatever happens I'll be ok with it and ready to move on if I have to. And as hard as it is not talking to her or seeing her I know that right now this is the best plan. We both have made our fair share of mistakes and no ones perfect and there was a lot of things that I should not of said or have done but I did and I deeply regret all of my mistakes. At times in our relationship I didn't show her enough love or affection and to her that made it seem like I never really cared about her. But in all honesty of course I cared I loved her more than anything and still do. I would give up everything just to be with her. I should of done a lot of things differently and I hate that I didn't and she holds that against me. And during our relationship while I was staying out here with her she went behind my back and had sex with another guy. And it was only because one night we got into a really big fight and she was afraid that I was going to leave her and move back home so she acted out and didn't know how else to cope with the situation. But that happened months ago and yes at first I was heart broken and furious but again we all make mistakes and she has cried so much and apologized and she felt horrible for doing it. In time I forgave her because I still love her and was willing to get past it. I just hope in time she forgives me. She has told me that she isn't mad or upset that I left and went back home but she's still mad and upset about the way our relationship was in the past. And I understand where she's coming from I just hope in time we'll be able to move on from this and get our relationship another chance because thats all I want with her. What if both sides are doing the no contact rule and just waiting for the other person to respond? If both people are doing the no contact rule then there will be no response! If a relationship were to really work, then both sides would look past the neediness and just communicate with each other. Sadly, people nowadays are just too conceited.

My ex lives 40 miles away. I treated her like a Queen, then she dumped me, yet she’s coming to my town, to visit a few of the places I took her to, and posting the pics on I/G. It’s been just over 30 days into No Contact. Why is she visiting the places I used to take her to?

My boyfriend broke up with me three months ago and after limited contact via texting with my initiation, and two periods of no contact that lasted one and two weeks, he began to warm up to me. He even agreed to get together with me three times, but it was simply physical and he was still emotionally shut down and not ready to talk about us. However, he hasn’t been dating anyone else and he’s just taking time to be alone. I feel that since I previously turned him off with my anxious behavior, it might be better to build a positive rapport with him again. Advice? I also don’t want to make our relationship only a physical one.
Make more friends to talk to and ask their opinion. Oh and change your behavior. You just acknowledged that you are the problem.

But in general, once must value him or herself enough to REALIZE; that if someone doesn't want to even spend time with you; it's time to back off. Actually my mother told me to blow them off and focus on my goals (medical school) so it was very good advice she also told me to text her very infrequently and let her do the pursuing. Mostly this was indirect advice bc she wanted me to focus on school not women.

Hey Corey, about a week ago my ex of a month and a half broke up with me. I begged and pleaded for her to stay which i knew was a big mistake. I was too much of a nice guy in the relationship but found your work and started using the techniques you use. She seemed a lot happier until out of the blue she left me. I was upset but after the begging and pleading i started the no contact rule and moved on with my life. She started finding out about all the people I have been hanging out with and she also found out about the vacation i just went on. She got jealous and started asking my friends about me and she even told on of my friends that she wants me back. I know you guys will be mad at me lol, but I broke no contact with my ex and just wanted to basically write a clean slate message telling her I was sorry for my emotional actions during the break up and if she ever wanted to get in touch she knows where to find me, I waited about a month and a half to say it but I feel alot better telling her that. The main reason I did it was because I feel like it's the first step of letting go and not hanging on to the past, so maybe I messed up, maybe not! Who knows. Happy new years! 😊

Instead, what helps me is...sometimes when she gets mad, i calm myself down and say to myself, "I have to keep my center, if thjs wasn't my woman, just some person on the street, I wouldn't let her control mg emotions." Corey, reading a book over and over again will only do so much to help you understand the principles that you outline. If someone doesn't have ample opportunity to learn how to apply them, they will not be fully understood. That is why he keeps asking you the same questions over and over again.

Hey Corey(or anyone else), just here to verify if I'm right. About two videos back, I said that my ex contacted me in person after 30 days of no contact. Told that if she wants to talk about it, then give me a call(which she didn't do). Two days later, we ran into each other and I said "What's up"(just my way of saying "hi") and she just gave me this serious look, gave, a head nod(like "what's up" back), and instead of going back in the same direction she came from, she went another direction to avoid me. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it would seem that she's testing me to see if I would contact her and ask her what's wrong. Either that, or she's mad that I won't give in to her wants and needs. Regardless, I'm still laughing at the whole thing, and it didn't even make me mad. It's her loss, not mine lol.
I couldn't. She came at the most inconvenient time, and dating isn't allowed at work. Too many eavesdroppers that will gossip and could risk my job.

"Off topic, but this is for anyone who reads this. I need to know if I did the right thing because it was completely unexpected. Pretty much, a woman and I were dating but she broke it off because I was being completely beta. Go no contact. Work on your self worth and self esteem. If you had at least a good relationship with your ex, be sure, at some stage they will eventually do the indirect-direct approach and try to come back. It helps if you are showing how awesome you are, or if they got you on social media, common friends etc. When they start comparing you to others they will realise the mistake in breaking up with you by themselves and only that way, once they do..it is magic. So, 7 year relationship, 5 months breakup, 4 months of no contact, BOOM. She reached out. Handled it great of course,fun,playful, not mentioning anything negative, and she told me everything through text over 2-3 days (had a 1month rebound, 2 months after we broke up) and then travelled to my city and we had amazing sex. Now 3 weeks in, the sex is 2x better than the relationship and it was already awesome, but the tables have turned, she begs for my forgiveness and says she will try and she will wait as long as it takes, words I would have KILLED FOR some months ago, but I am unphased now. Also I am not telling her a thing about MY 5 months. I met women with better connection, and I deserve better. She is trying really really hard tho and I am enjoying it. Whether she achieves it or not.
Even better tip... during the dating process, seek out suitable women to date from a qualified pool. Then do the steps... when you detect genuine crazy behavior, hit it and quit it! When they are grey, drab, not interested, not participating...run! Theres nothing there...save yourself the heartache.

After reading your book three times I just bought the audio so I could listen in the car or just give the eyes a break. This story is similar to mine except her mom died suddenly. We had one really good date after that. Then I couldn’t get her out after that. The strange thing is that she would accept a date then cancel but suggest another time. Then cancel again. Finally we talked and she said I didn’t call and text her enough. She felt she was doing all the work. Thought I was following your map but must have done something wrong. She canceled our next date too so I did as you instruct. Told her to contact me when she figures things out. Looking in other places.

Hey Corey, What if I dont want my ex back? What If I am trying to move on and find other women like me (fellow nerdy girls and whatnot) but I dont know exactly where or how to find them. I live in a place where I feel like I am all alone and cant find anyone else like me. Ive been working on trying to read your book and watch more of your videos. But I have been working on myself and trying to work on my welding classes and weld as much as I can so I can hopefully get this job I want in the next month or so. If I dont then basically I am screwed. I already lost my friends, my girlfriend and much more and slumped into this depression and I am trying to work my way out of it and gain some form of self confidence. Hey guys I was hoping to get some insight or some advice on my current breakup situation with my Ex girlfriend. I will try and keep this short and easy to follow.
I first met my girlfriend back in January 2010 and we met online. I was from Pennsylvania and she was from Colorado. It started out as a long distance relationship. When we first started talking she full of life, smart, beautiful good personality and overall she was perfect everything I was looking for in someone. The more we started talking the more I wanted to know more about her. Overtime we grew closer and really started to bond on a more deeper level. We continued talking and communicating for years. I would fly out and visit her every now and than whenever I had the chance to. She became my best friend someone I could trust and confine in. It wasn't until mid July 2014 I asked her out and we started dating. Yes the long distance was really hard at first it was definitely a challenge for the both of us but we did our best to get through it. We both have sacrificed a lot just trying to be together.
My girlfriend and I have been dating for a little over a year now and this past Summer I moved out to Colorado to stay with her and her family. I was nervous and excited to see where this road was going to take us. After all the long months and years of not being physically together we were finally going to be together. I left Pennsylvania and moved out to Colorado in beginning of March 2015. The first few months were really good. Everything was going the way we both have wanted it to and expected it to it was almost perfect. We have talked about getting married and having children someday. It was a real serious relationship and I have never felt this way with anyone else ever before it was absolutely beautiful in everyway. Than a few months later things between us started falling apart. We started growing distant from each other, arguing and fighting quite often there was also a lot of stress going on with her family issues and money etc.
It started getting to the point where it was beginning to be to much for the both of us but as much as we hated arguing and fighting we still tried our best to stay together and try and get past all of our issues that we were having. For a while we were doing pretty good but than not long after the fighting continued and we just couldn't stop. Near the end of August/beginning of September I was fed up with all of the craziness and decided to pack up and head back home. Continuing....

I realize when I went back home that I made the biggest mistake of my life. I made a stupid impulsive decision without really thinking about how it was going to affect our relationship. Before I left my girlfriend and I came to a understanding that we were going to take a break for a while and try and focus on ourselves for a little bit. So we both agreed on that but when I went back home a few weeks in I hear from all of her family that she immediately starts fucking around with all of these guys and going out and staying out late having sex etc. That had been going on for a few weeks after I left and there was nothing I could do about it because I'm the one who made a mistake and left.
A few weeks go by and I am a emotional wreck I couldn't really sleep or eat I couldn't stop crying when I was at work I tried to do my best to hold myself together. Some nights I couldn't stop thinking about her. I felt so hurt and broken inside and so alone I thought about suicide a few times if I am going to be honest. I have never felt pain like this ever in my life and I never want to feel it ever again. I kept blaming myself for leaving when things got bad and was willing to do whatever it took to try and salvage and fix our relationship because I loved her the way that I did.
We kept in contact a little bit during the time I was back in PA. We would talk every so often. For a little while things were starting to look up. She would call me some nights and we would stay up late talking about how much we missed each other and that she was still conflicted on weather or not we should get back together. She has told me that its hard for her to sleep at night because I'm all that she thinks about and that even when she's with other guys that I am still in the back of her mind constantly. She has also told me that if and when I come back out to Colorado that we should take things slow date non exclusively and than later on eventually get back into our relationship. In a lot of what she kept telling me she got my hopes up a little bit.

A few days go by and she calls me on my Birthday and tells me that she's sorry for the way that she's been acting and that she still wants to try and to make this relationship work. I was relieved and was still willing to do anything to try and fix on work on our relationship. So not long after I had already planned on going back out there to try and see if I could somehow salvage our relationship because I still loved and cared for her the way that I did. I had booked a flight for October 6th to head back out to Colorado. Knowing full well of the situation that we were both in. But I was still determined to try and get her back. About a week before I go back out there she calls me and tells me that she met this guy that she's been working with and they've been talking and she really likes him and he asked her out and she said yes. My heart nearly sank and everything that I thought I knew I didn't know anymore. But even after hearing that my heart still didn't want to give up on her so I still decided to go out there even if she was with someone else.
I moved back out here in the beginning of October I had been staying with a good friend of her Mom's that I knew well. Her whole family loves me to death and they still want us to get back together and they haven't been happy with her actions and the way she's been treating me. Some of them even tell me to just move on but Idk yet only time will tell I guess. I saw and talked with my Ex a few times since I've been here. It's been hard knowing that she's with someone else but we're still friends and she needs some time and space away from me right now so I am going to respect that. But recently her Bf broke it off with her a week before Halloween. And she called me on Halloween night and wanted me to stop by her place and bring some alcohol over. I had nothing else better to do so I went over her place. We had a really good time just talking and hanging out and enjoying each other's company while drinking. I ended up spending the night over there and later that night we talked some more. She told me that she still thinks about me everyday and that its hard for her to let me go. I told her a lot of the same things. It was nice being able to reconnect with her on that level again I've missed it and I've missed her. We started kissing and getting close and believe it or not we ended up having sex. I probably shouldn't of done that because I felt like for her as much as she wanted it I somehow knew that it was going to be a mistake.

The next day we woke up and she told me to try and forget that it ever happened and lets just move on from it. And I should of known that was going to happen. I was a little upset by it but I accepted it. Before I left later that day I told her that I understand why things are the way that they're now and that I would still like to be friends with her. I still love and care about her and that I will give her as much time and space away from me as she needs. She agreed and accepted it too. There are no hard feelings and right now I am going to give her the time and space that she needs. I won't contact her unless she contacts me first. The last time I saw her was on Sunday November 1st. I am going to wait atleast 30 days without no contact and contact her again on December 1st and try and see where she's at with everything. I am going to give this one last chance but if she doesn't want to make this work anymore than I won't stay out here any longer and just move back home. Atleast I had to try and I don't regret it. She has told me one thing after another and I don't have time to be playing this back and forth game anymore. She's told me that theres a good chance that she might break up with her Bf and get back together with me and that if we're meant to be that everything will work itself out. So idk I guess we'll see what happens. Either way whatever happens I'll be ok with it and ready to move on if I have to. And as hard as it is not talking to her or seeing her I know that right now this is the best plan. We both have made our fair share of mistakes and no ones perfect and there was a lot of things that I should not of said or have done but I did and I deeply regret all of my mistakes. At times in our relationship I didn't show her enough love or affection and to her that made it seem like I never really cared about her. But in all honesty of course I cared I loved her more than anything and still do. I would give up everything just to be with her. I should of done a lot of things differently and I hate that I didn't and she holds that against me. And during our relationship while I was staying out here with her she went behind my back and had sex with another guy. And it was only because one night we got into a really big fight and she was afraid that I was going to leave her and move back home so she acted out and didn't know how else to cope with the situation. But that happened months ago and yes at first I was heart broken and furious but again we all make mistakes and she has cried so much and apologized and she felt horrible for doing it. In time I forgave her because I still love her and was willing to get past it. I just hope in time she forgives me. She has told me that she isn't mad or upset that I left and went back home but she's still mad and upset about the way our relationship was in the past. And I understand where she's coming from I just hope in time we'll be able to move on from this and get our relationship another chance because thats all I want with her. I still think about her and miss her and one day hope that she'll be mine again. What do you guys think? Do you still think I still have a chance at getting my Ex back?

What if both sides are doing the no contact rule and just waiting for the other person to respond? If both people are doing the no contact rule then there will be no response! If a relationship were to really work, then both sides would look past the neediness and just communicate with each other. Sadly, people nowadays are just too conceited.
