Home Sweet Home - Wherever we roam! [S7E1]

- In this adventure we scurry out to the Utah wilderness just in time to enjoy the very last hints of golden Aspen leaves as Utah hangs onto a bit of mild weather before winter moves in.
Finally, we're able to relax from our hectic show schedule and get back to doing what we love most... exploring all creation with our family and pretending like "pavement is lava" when planning our routes. We also take some time to answer some popular questions we've received about our camping gear and how the trailer is outfitted and while we're still fine-tuning where everything lives; it's plain to see we're head over heels in love with this new format.
To top it all off, we find a fun trail that really stretches the legs on our Voyager and hopefully... leads us to a spectacular overlook of southern Utah!

Utah is so beautiful. I remember when dad was stationed at Hill Air Force Base near Ogden. From our kitchen window, we could see the beautiful snow-capped mountains in the far distance. Your children are so adorable. They are growing up before our eyes.

Can I suggest some sticky backed Velcro to hold the mats down at the doors so they don’t blow away in the wind overnight.

Interesting food idea. Put grape jelly in your meatballs with Sweet Baby Rays. It sounds questionable but trust me it's a winner.

Been running the previous version of that tent for years. couple pointers on the old one at least. I removed both large rubber bands. We close the top half before we climb down. We also put a standard bungee cord across the pockets on the inside. It helps pull in the lower front sides when you close the bottom half.

Hi from Rhode Island. Love the videos, you are living my dream. I would love one of those camper trailers (your exact setup - maybe minus the rooftop tent, since it's just me), but lack the vehicle to tow it and the funds to get one. Sure would make my getting out easier. I would put a roof rack with Thule box (for my chair, fishing gear, and other things I might take) and solar panel. For the past year, we have been stuck in this rainy pattern. I despise setting up and tearing down in the rain; especially packing a wet tent.
Oh well, one can dream....

Praying you guys can avoid that polar vortex. Here in Louisiana, it rained, then got down in the teens. Ice on everything. We are just not set up for that. But, like my neighbor said, we only get these every 10-15 years or so. Be careful.
Kevin, something that you might consider telling your friend who made your camping trailer. Why not take a gue from Patriot Campers and install adjustable airbag suspension with the ability to seff-level on uneven ground. I bet it would be a winner.

Hey I've got to say,I don't like your camping trailer...... I bloody love it,that roof top tent set up is an awesome idea very very clever👌
Just ordered the square fire pit, lava rocks, and carrying bag, though your link if I did it right. I already had the round one but as you mentioned, the square one packs up so much easier. I don’t think I knew they even had that one until I saw it in your video. Excited about the lava rocks, though, to try and get some radiant heat. I’ve debated about the Howl unit for the radiant heat aspect, just hard to pull the trigger on the price of it. Seems very well built, but that’s some coin for a fire pit. So if these lava rocks do even a decent job of providing some radiant heat, that’s a win in my book.
Out of curiosity, do you know roughly how long it takes to cool down before you feel comfortable stowing it away using the lava rocks?

Amazing! What kind of heater do you have? Is it powerful enough to send sufficient heat up to RTT? I’d love a thorough breakdown of your heating system for both trailer and RTT.
It's a Truma combi unit ducted into a plenum that vents into the cabin, utility area, kitchen plumbing, and an optional port for the hose attachment. It's been unbelievably awesome

What diesel heater are you using? What do you think of it? Im on the hunt for one!
Careful with whatever you choose. I also watch @fishingwithbecca and @mav - both have almost burned their campers due to the exhaust hose melting right at the heater. Mav found his was inferior plastic and Becca found hers was plastic and cardboard on the inside. Those were the hoses that came out of the unit and connect to the aluminum exterior exhaust you put outside your vehicle.
Now what interests me are the mini wood stoves some are using.
